Not for no reason. He saved everyone's life by destroying the cake after Stephanie (who was the only one to actually taste it) died from it.

not sure if this is a joke but just in case it isn't: i am pretty sure she dies from a gunshot to the face. The casket has a mirror placed in the middle of her face which is usually done when one side of the face is disfigured. Also, Axl's is seen under a store that has  "GUNS"  written above it.

General is just middle of the road and nothing special. Disappointed that Monsters was not released at the same time since it is one of the best songs in the CD era

pretty much. I hadn't heard the leaked version of The General and was looking forward to hearing the official mix and having heard it I am terribly disappointed. I don't get it at all . What is that melody? I do have the leaked version of Monsters. Those two songs are poles apart.

(once was the first GNR show I saw when someone wanted my spot and I wouldn’t move).

they got mad because you said you wouldn't give up your spot? Crazy.

I have had some issues where bad elements in mosh pits got physical. One time the band (Nervo Chaos i think) called them out on it and on other occasions, i just left the pit. Though the majority of the time mosh pit is very friendly.

Where is Lenny, @Dazey? I'm noticing a distinct lack of typed-British English on the forum. Is he still a massive Arsene Wenger supporter?

yeah, i liked his writing style. Brevity was not his strong suit but his writing was entertaining and witty. We exchanged a few messages between 2008-2010. I hope he is doing alright.

So, around 1990, DJ from Full House says something like,"I'll bet Guns N'Roses will be so out of it, they won't even FIND the stage at the VMA tonight! "

I was a little kid in 1990 and had NO idea who Guns N'Roses were  yet, so I didn't get the joke,/reference, but as an Adult and a GNR Fan, I get it! ,🤣 Guns N'Roses were  REALLY messed up in 1990 for real...🤔

IIRC, i think she said something like “i want to stay up and watch the VMAs to see if the guy from guns n roses falls off the stage” 🤣

They had acquired some reputation it seems.

  6. Ok, with Ashba officially out, it's now up to reunion or we will never see Guns N' Roses again I guess.

    Ashba's farewell letter:

You welcomed me into your lives with open arms and showed me love and support that I could only have dreamed of.I'm not gonna lie...I was terrified!! But you were so accepting. You immediately turned my fear into pride. For that, I am truly grateful.

    Dj Ashba

Okay, which one of you deluded fuckers is he talking about?

  7. I think the hardest part of dealing with such a break up is accepting that someone who once genuinely loved you is now genuinely indifferent towards you. i would suggest accept that this is how it is. Someone you loved is now gone. And the void that she has left WILL fade away. For me, when it was my first break up, devastating as it was, i deleted all her texts, pics, threw away her gifts...stoped checking my mobile every few minutes to see if there was a txt , and quitley distanced myself from her friends. 4 months later i was in a happier relationship. It will all work out. Everyone has diffrent methods to deal with grief. Some people like to go into a shell and cry it out. And that is perfectly normal and healthy. But the healing and the gradual moving on will only start once they have accepted the reality that the girl is gone and she is never coming back. Not that you havnt accepted that.

  8. The empty venues, whenever sides tour India, when contrasted with the IPL, speak volumes. I think there is no doubt that there is a problem with test cricket there.

The IPL will always draw more crowd. It's shorter and loaded with entertainment. Often you will find people deciding between watching a movie and an IPL game. Whole families with little kids and what not goes to watch IPL games. While tests are an all together different proposition and for a different sets of audience.

The interest in test cricket is plummeting... and in cricket in general. Even the IPL's viewership have dropped significantly over the last two sessions.

Among the reasons is the retirements of Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman. They pulled in crowd. Now until and unless Pujara turns into a Dravid and Kohli into a Tendulkar the interests will likely remain low.

As Warner had said that indians love cricketing personalities more than cricket. You need such figures to pull in crowds in india. And since it's lacking in indian cricket, the interest has dwindled over the last few years.

  9. Considering the population of cricket fans in india, if you were to seperate only those who care to watch mostly tests (like myself), even that number will be higher than the whole population of England. Though i share Diesel's disdain for IPL to an extent... It's loud and over the top and it is an overdose of cricket. Add the terible broadcasting and the whole affair becomes a pain in the ass.

  10. After the drubbing we recieved in england, australia and new zealand how could we?

While it is true that India plays more ODIs than anybody else it is in fact the test cricket and test victories and defeats that gets the whole nation estatic or enraged .

Besides, you are basing that on ICC test rankings in which india was 2nd in march.

  11. being subjected to unsolicited objectification and then made aware of it should probably constitute harassment. As normal as it might be for men to sexualize every pretty girl that we see, i think the real perversity lie in the act of telling her they she has been the object of their sexualization while she was out for a walk on the street.

What is this entitlement some men seem to have that if a girl is attractive to them they can very well stare at her ass and tell them they would totally hit that?

  12. Did I say it was impossible? I meant ridicuously improbable. It has everything to do with maximizing the probability parsimony, or Occham's Razor, if you prefer.

Yes but Occam's razor would eliminate all complex theories first and (i think) the theory with the fewest assumptions will considered to be likely true.

But how do you figure God's existence to be more complex than other possibilities? There is only one assumption in play here : we were all created by a being who is beyond the rules which govern us and as such unanalysable.

i mean Isn't that the simplest explanation out there? not saying it is true but only that it is the simplest. And being the simplest most likely as per OR?

  13. There is a lot of butthurtedness among theists, I guess it is inevitable that the understanding have-nots will be resentfull towards the others. I would think people who believe in unicorns are also whining about how awful it is to be proven wrong again and again and how smug the a-unicornists are to them.

As for debunking specific religious claims, yeah that can be fun, but it is often better in a sort-of time-saving way to simply debunk godly existence than to bother with arguing over the minutiae of the religions. And godly existence is just riduculously improbable considering that we have no reason to assume any such supernatural creatures could exists in what appears to be a completely naturalistic world, especially considering that no phenomena in this world requires the existence of a supernatural entity for explanation. It is improbable and redundant.

see i personally like reading your posts as they tend to be genuine and you seem like someone who know a lot about most things. Minus when you are being a little arrogant... like in that post. You say the belief in God is ridiculous and make no room for the possibility that one can reach the conclusion that God exists with reasoning and pure reasoning alone. And people who are fond of reasoning will be a little put off with that dismissive attitude. Do you really think that we have got it all figured out, as in figured out all the questions of existence and universe? I was under the impression that we, as a species are trying to figure it out. We are learning the ways of the universe. And that we dont have a fucking clue as to what happened 13.7 billion years ago which resulted in everything we know. i would very much like to know. And if we don't have all the answers then doesnt the possibility of God exists somewhere? i get that to you it's improbable and if i remember correctly you have said something along the lines that a world with God is a more complex proposition than the one without.

But how can you be sure that God can not exist at all?

I don't want a repeat of those god awful god threads but really i am more interested in knowing what you think rather than insulting you for being an atheist.
