    Nobody is denying that these guys are taoented. The problem is, that each and every one of them seem to be easily replaceable. If anyone left this version of GNR ,would anyone outside of these boards care? Probably not. The old band caught lightning in a bottle. Before people bring up that these guys are better musicians than the old lineup.well big deal.The old band was never trying to be RUSH or Steve Vai or Dream Theater. Will I see this version?Of course but I have seen most lineups of GNR live and if Axl cans these guys and hires the Blue Man Group to back him up,well,I'll still be there.

    It is more than a bit silly to even consider this lineup the best ever when so many have come and gone ,and we have no clue what songs written by these eight will sound like.

    I think that you would be hard pressed to find anyone who was around for AFD/UYI (and by around I mean aware of GNR or at the shows, not a 6 year old kid who was listening to his parents UYI's in 1991) that considers this the best GNR ever simply because they were lucky enough to witness the magic firsthand.

    We are at an agreement.

    Thank god. Too bad the show that really matters in the long run is gonna end up only being 2 hours. :(

    Well, he does this to himself.

    He likes to blame others and the press and everything, but in the end, he sabotages himself.

    The tour has been going great, and for some reason, he starts this show - the largest and most important one so far - to show up late and likely have to do a shorter setlist.

    I hope there's an explanation for the late start. :unsure:

    because it's guns n' roses. Didn't showing up late used to be cool and rock n roll?

    not confirmed by anyone except an unknown source so no it aint true

    Oh, for heaven's sake. I can't believe you're still in denial.

    I spoke to the security manager, and he confirmed it to me.

    I'm guessing TMZ spoke to the same person. If you make the right calls and speak to the person who headed security that night, he will confirm everything in great detail.

    I can't believe some of you are still trying to pretend it didn't happen. :rolleyes:

    Now, the question that remains - Has someone in the GNR camp stopped instructing security to do this at other shows, given the enormous negative feedback this policy got? Who knows. But, that's what we don't know at this point.

    Yeah but another member on the forum said that they spoke to a different security official and he said it didn't happen. I know it's more likely that the one you talked to is more credible but still, we can't confirm that just because you're the admin.

    Yes, I do think it happened. But to tell everyone that you talked to an official and that's why it's true isn't credible when we have another member saying the opposite.

    the people in this thread are weird to me.

    who cares who asked/offered/suggested a reunion to axl to help the people of haiti? the question is why won't/wouldn't he do it, instead of making this stupid statement.

    This pointless statement from Axl makes it look like like he doesn't care about anybody but himself. He has the option of performing an act of charity that could GREATLY benefit a good cause, or continue on with his 4th tour in support of the same boring ass album so he can put a few bucks in his own pocket. And by the sounds of it, he's apparently choosing the latter of the 2.

    I'm starting to wonder if this is the kind of guy that I want to support.

    Dude, what are you talking about? According to contactmusic.com, Axl has already insisted that he won't do a Haiti reunion concert despite the fact that it would raise tons of money for a worthwhile cause. Talk about "pretty low n selfish".

    AXL ROSE has ruled out any chance of an original GUNS N' ROSES reunion, insisting even the Haiti earthquake wouldn't prompt him to stage a one-off charity get together.

    The rocker fired off a Twitter.com post to ex-bandmate Slash last week (ends15Jan10) after the guitarist suggested a big-name concert should be arranged to help the relief effort in Haiti.

    Thinking his ex-bandmate was suggesting Guns N' Rose should reform for the event, Rose took to Twitter.com and posted, "Pretty low n' selfish usin' the devastation in Haiti 2 start (false) reunion rumors. R hearts n' prayers go out to the Haitian people."

    But, further study of Slash's original message revealed he wasn't suggesting a reunion. He wrote, "looking into organizing a big fund raiser concert for Haiti."

    The latest Twitter.com controversy between the two former pals comes as the latest incarnation of Guns N' Roses embarks on its first Canadian tour in nearly 20 years. Shows began in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Wednesday (13Jan10).

    Axl's camp claims they were "hearing" reunion calls when there were no such suggestions out there. But by making Axl comment on this "non-existent rumor" - he's in fact created the rumor and managed to paint himself as the bad guy. :no:

    As I mentioned earlier - my biggest concern is that Axl is being given misinformation and then being asked to comment on this wrong information. And that's not cool. He needs to hire a professional PR person who will be plugged into everything that's happening in the GNR world and not give him misinformation and bad advice. It makes me sad to see this because I think Axl is a good person with a good heart - but bad advice and poor PR is hurting him and his image.

    I don't understand how anyone can dislike it. When I see someone say they don't like it I imagine this long haired stone faced guy with his mouth wide open listening to it and just going "DIS ISNT DOIN ANYTHIN FOR MY EARS!"

    I know it's bad to think that but really, I think that's why most people don't like CD. It doesn't "do anything for their ears" and they don't bother to think about the talent, work, and thought that went into creating each section of each song.
