It's the combination of the cheesy lyrics and the dramatic vocals, especially the layered vocals in the chorus that kinda ruin it for me. It was a highlight in 2010 though, basically Axl's solo spot, and the remix vocals are incredible. A more 'raw' take on the album would've fit the song better IMO.

Agree with you on the layered vocals in the chorus, it’s way too produced-sounding for what the song is and it’s always bothered me. Otherwise love it.

I must have untrained ears because I never found an issue with the mix. Now I’m sure the next time I listen I’ll start finding issues, lol

There were a lot of them but I just gave the UYIs a listen with the new release. Obviously the shit ones (Anything Goes, Scraped, etc). But of the others, I know I haven’t thrown on Think About You or Patience in a long time.

Paradise City I happened to hear on the radio but I really never put it on. It’s just a live song to me.
