Im quite hot with an APRIL 2013 release of CD II.
Some MSL rumours n other thru inthernet hinted april as a fail intent of a re-release of CD in the US.
Ron n Richard have talked about songs these days (The General, Jackie Chan, Atlas, Going Down)
http://inthejungle.fr.yuku.com/topic/25526#.UUfnIByCVwY
n theres a gap between end of march and may (shows in the US).
Itd be a dream to stop this boring nightmare. Guns its never been so less exciting than this.
Pray for a reset n a neeew GNR episode.
Fingers crossed!
I find it highly suspicious. David Bowie, Eric Clapton, and Bon Jovi have released new CDs this year. But they did it with proper public promotion and stuff for releases. One month time is not enough time for the next guns record.

How do you think it's gonna look like?
To me realistically the new songlist will be like this (pure guess):
01. The General
02. Zodiac
03. Soul Monster
04. Berlin
05. Goin' Down
06. Atlas Shrugged
07. Seven
08. Cuban Skies
09. Jackie Chan
10. Ides of March
11. Light My Fire
12. Blood in the Water
13. Monstrosity
14. Thyme
My guess is that they will not include Oh My God or Silkworms. They're probably considered as b-sides from Chinese Democracy by now, even though Oh My God surfaced on the setlist. I hope i'm wrong though.
Beta's barn and Tonto sound more like jams then songs, but i could be wrong as well. Quick Song sounds like it's a name that is subject to change.
I don't think these titles will be on the recoed cause BBF says they're from a band that doesn't exist anymore.

AWESOME setlist

About new music, I'd ask Axl if Definately Maybe's changed for a possible new record in 2013?
-
if Chinese Democracy stayed in the vault, would GNR be on the Aussie Tour?
-
Somehow i think this is all to do with GNR wanting a renegotiation of their contract. (pure speculation on my part)
The contract predicts at least one more record, i believe this was reported before. Maybe they want their contract to be reviewed and re-negotiated before the release of the next album, and UMG wants to release the album before there's another negotiation and that's what's holding the whole thing and Axl in between is just making money with touring, and expecting them to break in between... and hand him what he wants. Because he also wants to secure that this current band will release at least an album through UMG.
I mean they could release the new album with the rest of the cd era tracks and tell Axl to fuck off afterwards, and then he would have to release the next record with the current band by himself, without a label. Maybe he fears that, it's only legitimate after all the trouble and expenses Axl gave the Label while he was working on Chinese Democracy, and since he didn't do the reunion....
It's just a guess, but it makes sense
I don't think it's contract renegotiations. I think it's Axl not wanting to release the next record during a tour.

An honest review from a fan at the Aussie show. But this is how Axl wants the live Guns show to be. It's Axl's show.
-
Axl sings November Rain Clean at the 1992 MTV VMA with Elton John. And November Rain is their most Successful Ballad to date.
-
Live Axl is know for singing rasp. On a CD, Axl is known for singing clean. Maybe Axl is at the point he likes singing clean live like on a CD rather than live rasp.
-
If Axl chooses to sing clean instead of rasp for his voice, it's the best singing choice for Axl. You can't sing rasp all the time on every song, whether you're 28 or 58.I'm worried about the vocals. Singing any song without rasp is unacceptable.
That's what made him famous in the first place, but yet a lot of you think it's OKAY to use a clean voice on songs that never had clean vocals.
When I go to a GNR show I come for Axl's powerful, raspy voice. Without that I'd might as well go to Slash's shows.
I have been disappointed with this since the last tour started. What has happened since 2010?
Don't get me wrong, I've been a fan of NuGNR for years now but those vocals aren't GNR.
I know I'll get bashed for this but I'm tired of defending Axl.
He did when he was 28, even his lower voice sounded raw and raspy.
He also did it on pretty much every song in 2010, more than in 2006.
Axl would've never made it big if he sang like this in old GNR...
It's Axl's choice. I'm sure if Axl wanted to sing rasp, he'd sing rasp on every song. With GNR not making it big with a clean Axl voice, Axl sings clean with the Appetite and LIES CD on songs like Sweet Child, Patience, and Paradise City. These are some of the most popular songs in rock history.

The General, Seven, Silkworms, Oh my God, Jackie Chan, Atlas, BetasBarn, Soul Monster
What a good start could be!!!
Fingers crossed!
If its in the mix today add 6 months and its ready to go if its ginished already!! Hehe
I hope its more than 14 songs!
Yeah. BBF says these songs are from a band that no longer exists anymore. And BBF's preference is to make different songs for a different guns n roses record. But maybe Axl wants these songs on the next record and puts them on!
What annoys me about Ron's comments is that it simply isn't true. Axl, Chris Pitman, Tommy Stinson and Dizzy Reed all contributed to the songwriting of CD, and they are all still part of the current lineup, so I'd hardly say the songs from that era were from a different band. The only members who have changed are the guitarists.
Take the best 6 or 7 unreleased CD-era songs, record a few new songs with Ron and DJ and everyones happy. The idea of starting a new record completely from scratch is preposterous, especially if Axl is really sitting on a vault of already recorded unreleased gems.
Maybe this is how Axl convinces BBF what's best. What makes everybody happy. 6 or 7 songs from the guns n roses that no longer exists anymore. And a few new songs from Ron and DJ. Perfect bliss.

GNR should be onstage in 4 hours.
New material would be amazing, but doubt it will happen.
Would love to hear Coma.
Another UYI song like Locomotive

I don't know where people get that Bumblefoot disrespected anyone here...
He basically gave his opinion on the matter...and it's a fact that it doesn't make sense to release an album that feature people that are not in the band anymore...why would you be promoting former members, who are long gone and have nothing to do with GNR now?!
Sure it would be better to have a buckethead solo than a bumblefoot solo on certain tracks, but an album doesn't evolve in your personal preferences!
If you ask me, would you like to get all of those cd era songs? Sure, i want them and they will still sound fresh... does it make sense to release them, not really?! Unless they re-record everything, even if the players involved are not as good as the previous ones.
Otherwise we will get a clusterfuck of a mix like Chinese Democracy, which is full of sounds that are buried in the mix... sure it will be great and sure we have a lot of curiosity on those songs because they've been hyped for years now, does it make sense to release them as the new album? No, but it will still be enjoyable!
Of course it wouldn't make sense to Bumblefoot....he didn't even participate in the writing process of those songs...he was not involved. Maximum, he has recorded some guitar parts in the songs.
That doesn't mean i don't want those songs to be released! To be honest i would prefer to have those CD Era songs then anything new they may come up with, just to end the whole curiosity around it, but i can't really say it makes much sense to release it as a Guns N'Roses new album if none of the current players are involved in the writing process.
It would make much more sense to release it as a boxset, or name it Chinese Democracy 2 to make it look like it was the follow up of the "double album", just like Illusions.
Would the first option (boxset) sell as many copies as a new album? No. Boxsets are usually bought by hardcore fans. Usually those are the ones who spend like 50 bucks on a boxset. The casual fan would find it expensive, but that doesn't mean some of them wouldn't buy it.
As a follow up album, it would sell in the millions.
Don't be so hard on Bumblefoot, he was just being honest! He's not trying to say that the other songs aren't worth releasing... he acknowldges there's some good gems in there, he's just anxious for working on a new album with the current band. This current band is where they had more chemistry as well so it's normal that he's looking forward to it.
It would make sense to release the next batch of chinese democracy songs because Axl talked about a CD trilogy. What Bumblefoot's talking about is not releasing the chinese trilogy but making a different type of Guns N' Roses record. That's where I think the conflict lies with what Guns N' Roses is and Axl Rose. Maybe Axl wants CD 2 to be CD 2. Meaning, Axl wants the unheard material from the previous Nu-Nu GNR band coming out. Because those are the songs Axl poured his heart and emotion into. And I don't think Bumble's disrespecting fans but I think at the moment Bumblefoot and Axl agree to disagree on what should be the next Guns Record.

I love Axl's Aussie Interview. I'm on the edge of seat with excitement for the Aussie shows.

I thought vh1 already aired it?
I think VH1 aired an edited version without CD songs except the CD song. VH1 Classic was supposed to air the whole thing on Saturday Night after Eddie Trunk's GNR Video Block. And later this month in March on the Nights of 16 and 17 Palladia is supposed to show the show complete. The Palladia listing still stands on the TV DVR Listing. But I don't know if this means still canceled or hope against hope the show's shown on Palladia as planned.
-
News of cancelation led to the DVR listing on VH1 Classic to disappear for the GNR Show. But I checked this morning and TV listing for the show is back on for Saturday Night. Could mean it's on or mean nothing.
-
The GNR Palladia listing is still listed on my DVR. Is it still canceled on Palladia later this month reguardless?
I have it recorded on myDVR but I haven't watched it yet. Is Axl gonna delete it?
I have the listing on Palladia ready to DVR. If it's canceled on VH1 Classic probably means it's canceled on Palladia too. I have it DVR ahead of time just in case Palladia shows the GNR Concert as planned on March 16 and 17

I don't know what the issue is... but it's frustrating that anything Axl is involved with seems so complicated. I love Axl as a singer and think he was the most talented element in a band overflowing with talent... when you consider Izzy, Slash and Duff... but he does make it difficult to have faith in the fact that he'll ever be able to move forward commercially as a musician.
Hasn't Axl already moved forward with CD?
-
still listed on my DirecTV "To Do List" on my DVR.
the VH1Classic showings as well as Palladia. listed in the guide on DirecTV as still happening.
small, unimportant detail but figured I'd let everyone know.
Despite it still showing it's canceled right?
-
MSL's Egor said that the show has been taken off Palladia completely now. So looks like it's officially a wrap now.
I hope this isn't true. I was planning to see the show on Palladia this month.
The General, Atlas, Goin Down... aren't even up for discussion in Australia.

I hightly doubt it'll happen too. Axl is touring in Aussie. Where's the time for a new record in a month?
