LOL. GNR are huge, they can sell stadiums. Korn.. eh? Sorry but why the fuck would GNR co-headline with anyone like korn? Co-hedline with bands as big as Kiss or Metallica.. but if Korn could co-headline with GNR, then I could co-headline with GNR too with my band . Ya know.. nothing against Korn, but they are so fuking far from being big enough for GNR..
In the US, GNR, atleast Nu-GNR anyway, isn't that big anymore. Korn is probably a bigger draw here then them. As I said, it'll probably be a Limp Bizkit/Korn tour seeing as how Bizkit reunited and have a new record on the way.
nope

on a related note, has anyone else seen exit through the gift shop? great film.

quote of the decade.Foo Fighter's are a really good mediocre band who've been lucky enough to be around in an era of mediocre bands.

grohl is a talentless nerd

its just not VR anymore without scott, slash needs to get rid of the hired hands and get scott back.

Unless you visited boards like these, no one would know about the tour.
yea, the million+ people they've played to aall frequent mygnr and htgth, you're a fucking genius.
if only you anti-new band mongoloids weren't so fucking stupid, you'd be wholly more tolerable.

>music collegei was surprised to hear them make fun of it. seems like the prevailing opinion around here is that if you don't like chinese democracy songs, it's because you are a mullethead who lacks the deep musical understanding necessary to appreciate things like modulations or long solos with lots of fast notes. but these guys were super smart when it came to music -- all had masters degrees in theory and comp. all were expert performers on their instruments too. apparently it was over their heads too!
>masters
>super smart

Why is it that whenver someone in the band offers something slightly positive about the future, someone else in the Guns camp has to rush in and do damage control. "I know what's been said, but let me assure you all, the future is still bleak, dark and boring. Sorrrrry."
to avoid the inevitable outcry that would have occurred had someone not said "woooh lets back up a bit, don't get ahead of yourselves"

his solo on wetsand is one of my favs.

yeah kurt was infatuated with axl, he really was the epitome of try-hard, insecure, nerdy, over-compensatory(even a word) hipster faggot.
-
Appetite is watered-down hair metal. Nevermind is by far a greater album.
its funny because you're so matter of fact but so wrong =D

wheres that fag who thought wrestling was real, gnr star

i NEED to hear atlas shrugged, the general, soul monster such fucking awesome titles, the songs just HAVE to be amazing, right?

lets hope axl still appreciates bucket's talent, although its going to be harder to justify keeping his parts on the songs(assuming he releases the CD era material and not a brand new batch) than it was on the CD songs.whats even more concerning is the tendency for newer members to rerecord certain parts of past members contributions, i certainly don't want ashba's take on a bucket solo, or ANYONE for that matter, redoing bucket's parts. the guy provides the highlights of CD, hes untouchable.
Yeah totally, I want Buckets parts completely untouched, and if possible, I want alot of the songs that he helped create, to just be left completely alone as if Ashba/bumble/fortus re records anything, it will completely miss the mark of anything that Bucket could come up with.
ture, but axl is nothing if not irrational.whats even more concerning is the tendency for newer members to rerecord certain parts of past members contributions, i certainly don't want ashba's take on a bucket solo, or ANYONE for that matter, redoing bucket's parts. the guy provides the highlights of CD, hes untouchable.
Ashba wouldn't be able to re-create/rerecord a Bucket solo, neither would Fortus. Ron probably to it though, as Bucket's work on Chidem is not his most complex. I really don't think we are going to get an album of all new material. This I Love was written all the way back in 1993 and it still made Chinese Democracy I. Most of the songs off Chidem were written/recorded before 2002. Back in 2006 Axl said something like "26 songs out of 32 are done", which is almost another album right there. Axl doing vocals/lyrics for songs takes long enough. Do you guys really think he is going to do that all over AGAIN when he already has 90% finished material?
On topic, this is good stuff. I dunno whether it was because of our "update" thread(i hope it was), but its good. Ashba is the new Guns spokesperson. Axl really seems to bond with him, there was even pics of Ashba with Axl at Axl's house.

i can all but guarantee sunny dre defended this/liked it somewhere in this thread.

what about the CD era shit that we havent heard? is that going to be there? going to be really disappointing if it isn't.

its worth a shot

What is the problem with ITW btw ?
for me, it just doesn't go anywhere, it lacks focus. it sort of just meanders along, content to indulge in it's own convolution. in hindsight, axl's vocals are great and so is bucket's solo.
-
don't damn me is one of axl's strongest lyrical performances ever, don't understand how anyone can dislike that song.
old gnr
best: coma/estranged/SCOM/WTTJ
worst: the garden
new gnr
best: TWAT/Madagascar(especially 2001 rio ver)
worst: if the world

i hate to bite, or indulge someone has stupid as saulhudson89, but; brian may, buckethead, billy howerdel, dave navarro, the rolling stones, bruce springsteen, elton john, josh freese, Marco Beltrami to name just a few. i don't really care either way but yeah, you're a dumbass.

slash's tacked on snide little comment was just so, so fucking pathetic.
Whats pathetic is how people who know absolutely nothing about Axl, Slash, or their conflict think they have the right to judge either one of them for what they do or say about each other. Slash was there every step of the way and anything he says has just as much creditability as axl. If Slash wants to make a comment about Axl going on late, who cares, he actually knew the man for years and helped create the greatest band of all time. What exactly did you accomplish? Would you people seriously spout such dumb ass shit to Slash's face? Could you imagine his reaction? Some nobody reading up his personal conflicts on the internet and actually trying to hell him how it all went down and how he should "stfu" about Axl going on late....
this is a forum, people express opinions, the comment he made was in every instance bitter and snide and unnecessary.
