    I do too.

I'm trying to learn this song on the guitar. I think Bucket's outro is pretty good, even if it's the most obvious comped/patched solo of the album IMO.

I like it a lot. The doubled over vocals with the chorus makes it hard to sing along to but very catchy. And when they did those 20 second teaser clips leading up to the Chinese release, the one where they used the intro to Scraped and ended with "dont you try to stop us now" was the best of the bunch.

I baby all my lithos, cheap or expensive. I always hate to see anything of value get irreversibly damaged.

Not holding you to anything but percentage wise how big of an issue is that dent. Do you think that is worth 10% less than a mint poster or are we being too generous with that?

If you cant wager a guess as to what it does to the value then god help the rest of us.

Another fantastic episode. Thanks for taking the effort and time to put these together.   If there were any 2nd thoughts at all on my end about a fairly large litho purchase that I recently made, this Podcast put me at complete ease. It's so great to hear the appreciation for these pieces.

My apologies if I missed it. I thought the last we spoke you said you were happy with your collection and weren't looking to add to it! This was definitely a while ago though.

I'm sure you meant Cincinnati and not Cleveland haha

I was then lol, then Kobe was listed and just like that I wasn't.

PM me back if you can, I would like to talk more about it through the messenger.

Why not wade into this debate, nothing else to do!  Here is another thing to eBay.  This fucking nonsense where two bidders are just fucking with each other has happened MANY times before.  The real question is whether or not the person is going to pay.  Not much of a penalty for not paying, account gets suspended or deleted.  BFD, just create another.

On a personal note, I agree with Riki.  And like him, I don't collect any of my GNR stuff (not just the lithos) for an investment.  I think the only smart thing to collect as an investment is original art (if you can afford it) or gold/silver coins (just due to the gold and silver).  And even then art goes up and down, for most artists.  Yes there are some artists that will always stay the same, or go up, but that is a rarefied league for the 1%.  Like Riki, I collect it because I enjoy it.  If it goes down in value so be it.  Of course I hope it goes up or at least retains value.

And lastly, and most importantly, not all GNR collectors are on the forums or Facebook.  I know several with deep pockets that are private people, and don't go on here.  When you see some of these GNR auctions that have big price finishes?  That's them usually.  A lot of them don't trust eBay either, so they only buy from auction houses.  Not that auction houses get it right all the time of course.

What type of GNR items have you seen up for grabs at auction houses?

What a bargain hahaha! You can buy signed Picasso's or an original Dalì for less. I noticed the seller is the same as the one in 2017 that wanted $2000 and @uzi your illusion offered $1000 and the seller rejected it/wanted to trade 3 litho's for it (including a signed Cinci).

Remember that @uzi your illusion? This is that same ebayer. How many does he have exactly? As he sold that one in 2017, and the current ad states you have a choice of two numbers, he will keep the other. So that's at least 3, assuming he hasn't sold/traded any others in the last 3 years.

Jesus you have a good memory lol. When I tried bidding on Kobe the other day my username was blocked by the seller , I remembered after the fact that we had had words previously lol. Had to use my wife's username to start bidding. I guess in retrospect the $2000 would have been a gift.

  7. Man I love hearing these. Excellent scoop you got out of Arian about the Tokyo litho and who requested it! Makes me love it that much more. Stop putting yourself down and calling it torturous to listen to. I find the time just breezes by. And having your friend on to relive his experience was great. Having somone who attended a show from each leg is an excellent addition.

arent they a bit hidden in your appartment?

They're in the stairwell leading to the basement. When I rented an apartment my girlfriend was okay with a few on display. She tolerated the bachelor pad aesthetic. When the girlfriend upgraded to the wife and the apartment upgraded to a house she hasn't been so kind to the lithos. This was the only compromise other than my garage, and I was worried that the heat might effect them out there.

I'd agree it's not the most prominent place but they're up and in a spot I walk past a few times a week so it's better than nothing.

@Mcs953 Glad you like them, as someone who has had them stored in the closet for a long time, I'm getting to fall in love with them all over again.

@janrichmond Thanks man! I'm just opening and closing the door for fun now.

I was inspired by the Lithorati podcasts to actually find a spot and do the right thing so they could be fully appreciated. Wish I had more room to hang the rest, but it was fun deciding which ones made the cut.

I'm stubborn enough that even if there's zero interest publicly, honestly I'm pretty sure me and my fellow collector friends enjoy it enough to continue doing episodes to cover the rest. It'll take a lot of hours of recording though - I didn't originally intend for the episodes to be this long. I had kinda assumed each leg would be a couple hours tops but the original cut of this 2016 review was over 6 hours - it took a lot of editing to even get it down to 5 hours (2 x 2.5 hour episodes). And that only covers 36 lithos from 2016. In 2017, there were more than 90 lithos... And I'm also inspiring to have some guests on... Let's just say that there's a lot more chatter to come  I'm trying my best to keep it on topic and interesting, but please forgive me if we stray a little from time to time. Even though it would probably make for slightly shorter episodes, I don't want it to always be straight up 100% review-only - I think having some guests on and discussing relevant topics/stories will help keep it a little more entertaining.

If you had to make an educated guess as to how many GNR litho collectors are out there [let's call it 20 or more in their collection], how many people do you think there are?

  11. I love how much talk there was about having to see some in person to fully appreciate. NJ night 1, Arizona, and Pittsburgh are three of my all time favorites and it's all because of the close up details. Even my Cincinnati was kicked up a notch when I was able to get up super close and see these vibrant blues and yellows that I didnt know existed.

I cant wait to hear part 2. If you are taking suggestions for the awards you alluded too:

Best theme, best hidden item [like the NJ state outline in the NJ Devil print], best color scheme, most underrated, most overrated etc. etc.

And you guys should mention that Ebay seller Warpig and the authenticity of his stuff.

I dont know how many people could legitimately be into this sort of thing but god damn I'm appreciative of the fact that you guys took the time to do it.

    Killer job!
