  1. I have to admit the Kevin Cogill leaks were better than the finnal mixes.

Chinese Democracy had lots going on (layers) even on the Kevin Cogill leaks.

If Robin and Bucket hadn't quit, I think the album would have been more like the Kevin Cogill leaks.

Once they got Frank and Bf on-board, it seems for one reason or another they added these guys into the mix too.

It got the impression the shit was hitting the fan, the album needed to be released, as time was really dragging on, things were getting ridiculous.

  2. That's a kickass poster. They should make one for each concert, not for the tour. Just like Peark Jam.

Best poster in years. 15+ years to be precise'ish. It's oozes AFD era.

Who is Richard Sanderson? Following information taken from GNR-Evolution:

BUCKETHEAD REAL NAME IS BRIAN CARROL! That's what he wants you to think. But if you take all the letters of that name convert them to jewish re-arrange them based on the fibonacci sequence then translate them back to english, they spell Richard Sanderson. Coincidence? I thBink not.

Brian Patrick Carroll is Buckethead. Its no big secret.

  4. Or maybe they will update the website... with lots of things... here is hoping...

since when did website updates count as major news ?

website updates should be standard practice :shrugs:

not for gnr it ain't :tongue2:

    we know that :xmassrudolph:

    it should be! :D

  6. When it comes to Axl Rose I take it has hot air.

The whole statement read like if's and but's..

Between now and a new album, really anything could happen.

If and when a new album does show, if Buckethead, Brain, and Robin's material isn't on it, there will be moaning..

It will be interesting to see if the Irish show up. Maybe they should offer free tickets to all those that picked up tickets to the show where Axl walked off.

  7. Unless the music is any different (re master) what iis the point ? :shrugs:

A remaster AFD would be good.

Funny enough, I was in HMV today looking at Blu-rays, and on came Welcome to the Jungle, followed by SCOM. I guess they were playing GN'R Hits. It sounded great in the shop, being play quite loud. The Axl/Slash combo is so GN'R - it'll never be better'ed.

  8. One of the main arguments against Axl NOT attending the induction ceremony, let alone performing a song or two with the old band for old time's sake is that "it will kill what he's trying to accomplish with the nu band".

Ehh...idk if I buy into that, as I really believe not attending will do more harm than good. Take a look at comments at GNR outside these forums. Such as articles about GNR on Blabbermouth. The general outlook on the nu band isn't that strong anyways. Love it or hate it, people and the media will always want the people who helped Axl make GNR what it is back in the band. It will never change, regardless if he attends or not. You will always get the "this isn't GNR" comments. And the worry can easily be calmed if Axl communicated with the fanbase and assured them that this is a one night thing for a special occasion.

However, if everybody who's inducted show up except Axl and Dizzy, it's gonna make Axl look like a whiny bitter shitbird (as portrayed by the media of course, which will then snowball out of control). Seriously. The backlash and criticism he would get for it would be so much worse than if he actually let go of what happened in 1996, and threw the fans a bone for one night.

Just my opinion on it. What's yours?

I thought the only thing Axl was attempting in 2012, was to keep the name Guns N'Roses going. That's his choice.

In theory there should be no problem accepting an award.

Sure the award is for past efforts. Axl, Slash, Duff, Adler continue to perform Guns N'Roses songs from that era.

  9. when Rhiad was first performed in 2000 at The House of Blues, it sounded unfinished, like it was a work in progress. I sort of liked it back then.

Further down the line once they completed work on it, it was never really improved on, and is one of the weaker tracks on CD. Live, the drums tend to sound too bouncy ?

The intro vocals sound kind of tribal, atleast thats my take. Reminds me alittle of the Rolling Stones song they once covered, Sympathy for the Devil. It sounds like an attempt at that vibe.
