What are you freaking expecting??? Metallica had two nights at Metlife Stadium charging $9,000 for pit each night. There were plenty of people in the pit at both shows. No matter which band you see in the pit, it'll always be expensive. For both Metallica and GNR, I paid $180 including fees.  For GNR, I'm sitting in the lower level at Metlife Stadium . For Metallica, I sat in the mezzanine section further back at Metlife Stadium. Additionally, I have a college friend who has Metallica as his favorite band. He got tickets for $100 both nights. He sat in the upper deck in the back.  Don't complain when you are selecting the most expensive seat to begin with.

Pit seats were way down in price the day of both shows which I attended as a guest

Always wait till last minute if you want to see any acts. Promoters always release more tickets the day of the show and the renaming tickets are usually a lot cheaper. I was gifted front row seats for MetLife. The ones Im currently in are going for around $350, waaaaaay down from what they were when they went on sale.

no show is ever “sold out” (unless it was April 1, 2016)

I can’t quite wrap my head around why so many seem to have an issue with Richard on here.

Seems a solid dude who has paid his dues with the band for around 20 years and as a player is extremely accomplished and versatile.

He was absolutely on the money in calling out NB yet folk reckon he should STFU? Why should he exactly - he is literally the best placed person on the planet to make the comment he did bearing in mind his history.

I just can’t understand why anyone thinks he is in the wrong here or has an issue with him generally? Yes - he is not Izzy…but no-one is so what can you do?

Speaking for myself I don’t have an issue with him. He’s  just a hired hand and tows the line.

I would feel differently about him and my guess is others would too if this band had been releasing albums worth of material that Richard helped write over the last 20 years but that’s not the case. He is an excellent session musician.

The interview in question  is this one:

“The other side of it was figuring out what my version of The Chinese Democracy stuff would be like, because that was a whole different Guns N’ Roses animal in terms of the musicians involved. A lot of it I thought was really cool, like Buckethead did some cool shit so I would stick to that but do it in my own way so it didn’t feel too foreign or like I was squeezing a round peg into a square hole. That was interesting and fun… more fun than it was intimidating.”

On the song Better, instead of trying to play like Robin Finck trying to play like you - as per the recorded version - you chose to do your own thing…

“Some of the stuff I won’t do note-for-note because it doesn’t have a serious melodic significance to the song. It sounded like they were making it up...”

    Have to agree.

CD would have faired much better as an Axl solo project. That’s pretty much how I’ve always viewed it. Love the album all the way but I don’t consider it a Guns album.

  4. I don’t know why the majority of ya keep thinking there’s going to be a song dropped at midnight on a Friday. What do you think it’s like Cinderella?  You think the good witch is there telling Axl he has until midnight Friday to drop a new song or else he’s gonna be broke and back on a farm in Indiana?

    Jesus Christ people.
