Only 4 days away.
(Still no opener, but who cares.)
seems like a bunch of tickets left. Prices dropped. I called and complained that I paid more than what tickets in my section are currently going for, so they bumped me up to club box. I'll take it.

Why haven't they announced an opening act. I guess were not getting one!
Sure seems that way.

Thanks everyone for posting links, I'm watching the one that's interviewing the guys from The Who right now , is this current? When is Guns expected to take the stage ?
Me too. Wondering the same.

I'm just tuning in, sorry for the dumb question. How long have they been going between sets? How much longer til they go on?

Thanks for the heads up..i don't follow sports at all but I like like a 15 min walk from the stadium. Still haven't bought tickets yet. Strapped for cash for a while so I'm going to do it either the week of or weekend of and get whatever tickets i can. Does anyone know how it's selling or if it's close to selling out? I saw them at the linc but would kick myself in the balls if I can't seem them again so fucking close to my house.
I checked just for kicks a couple weeks back. There *were* tickets at most price points left. It's hard to tell how many or where because the Wells Fargo Center does their own ticketing and you can't buy on a map like through Ticketmaster. Which is annoying.

Just a heads up to anyone going to this show, there's an Eagles home game at 1:00pm. 70,000 additional people will be there from 6:00am until they are all gone probably around 6:00pm.

Yeah i'm honestly starting to think that there aren't going to be any openers
Didn't someone say they got an email from Ticketmaster that ZZ Top was opening the D.C. show? I can't imagine they'd have openers for some of the arena dates and not others.
-
How has this not been announced yet? I'm going to the Philadelphia show in two and a half weeks. Maybe there won't be an opener of any note?

Does anyone know if ZZ Top is opening. I just saw where they are opening in DC, but couldn't find any info on this one
I was just searching for the same info, but couldn't find anything. Would be awesome if they were.
According to ZZ Top's website, they are in Georgia on 10/7 and Maryland a few days after. So 10/8 is open.

Not sure, but lyrics look similar to Madagascar:
No I won't be told anymore
That I've been brought back in this storm
And left so far out from the shore
That I can't find my way back, my way anymoreNo, I..
No, I...Forgive them they teared down my soul
Bless them that they might grow old
And free them so that they may knowI think you're spot on.

Regarding the Montreal litho, also just wanted to point out that the little mountain in the background to the left with the cross on it clearly represents Mount Royal which is basically what Montreal is built on and around. Not super prominent but a nice little touch!
And to add to that, the cross on top of the mountain exists in real life. The pitchfork was added for the litho. Kinda funny.

I was at the WFC for Roger Waters last night, and it was, by far, the greatest sounding show I've ever been too. I mean the levels and clarity were something I've never experienced at a live event before. I don't expect the same level of sound from GNR here in two months because they are a totally different sounding act, but it definitely has me excited to hear this band in an arena setting as opposed to an outdoor stadium. (I did see them at the Apollo and the sound was phenomenal there as well.)

I am really hoping they shake it up a bit for the Arena tour... Who the hell knows though...
Who the hell knows is right. If ever there was a time to reshuffle the deck in terms of song selection, this would be it. It really is the first time they are revisiting the exact cities they already played.
I also would've thought that the cities they played multiple nights they would've also mixed things up, so that leads me to believe it might be the same or close to it.
This will be my 4th show on this tour. The first two (Philly and NJ) last summer, I expected the same songs. The Apollo show was awesome and I don't care that they stuck with the same set. This upcoming show, I'm really hoping they mix it up and throw in more illusions tracks.

I am seeing them on the first arena date in Philly, and I really hope some of these make it in.

Was this extended? I thought it was supposed to end Sat or Sun?
Yeah I didn't tune in at all until I saw your post because I thought 7/23 was supposed to be the last day.

Anybody know what celebrities were in attendance? I was there in the lower mezzanine. Didn't see any near me, but I also wasn't really looking.

All of nighttrain was bad from Frank. Rest of the band killed it though.
It was bad on his part. But something happened. He had a guy tending to him and the drum set DURING the song and then wrapping his hand or something after.
Dunno what happened but at least he pushed through whatever it was.

Trying to find the concert audio. Is it somewhere on demand on the Sirius app?

I'm gonna say it- I like The Seeker. It's a pretty powerful version and they nail it. Axl kills it because it's in the range of his voice that is still 100% the way it's always been.
I don't like that it take the place of what could be another alternate original song, but in isolation, I don't think it gets the credit it deserves.
Just my opinion (and probably not a popular one).

I haven't had much chance to read the comments here since the show last night, but the experience of being in that theater was amazing.
I would've loved a more fitting tribute to AFD. I would've loved if Steven and Izzy made an appearance. I would've loved a change up to the set list that I've seen twice already.
To me, none of that mattered last night. Seeing them perform in closer proximity to one another, as opposed to that giant stadium stage, was just awesome. I looked at that in and of itself as a tribute to the earlier days. I thought the performance was awesome. Full of energy. Axl gave his best. Wasn't perfect, but I thought he nailed songs like WTTJ and others that haven't always been strong IMO.
Last night was a night I'll never forget. They just kept going and going. 29 songs! Almost 3.5 hours! I thought for sure we'd get them coming on late and ending after maybe 15 songs. The band was just so tight.
And let me tell you, Sirius is great and knows how to treat people. Open bar, two free shirts, free poster and lanyard, and free bus ride to different parts of the city after. And of course free tickets.
Im sure there was and will be negativity. I didn't feel any of it in the room last night, and I just feel lucky to have been in the room to see something that I would've thought to have been impossible just 18 months ago.

10/08/17 - Philadelphia, PA - Wells Fargo Center
in 2017 Tour Dates
Posted
They allowed the move for me because the box had dropped in price to match what I had previously paid for my seats. So I got an upgrade in location, but would've had to pay to move up to more expensive seats.
I called the Wells Fargo Center. FYI they will take days to get back to you because, as they told me, they have to send a request to the box office. And of course they don't let you talk to anyone in the box office.
