When the gates have opened, has it been a mad dash to the pits, or not so much? I'm sure every place is different. Just curious.

yes I saw that! thats great! I would imagine the linc lots will fill up early. Wish I could get over there earlier! Jetro lots are not linc affiliated so I guess they can charge what they want. 25 is pretty cheap these days. Can't believe we are only a few days away now!
Same here!

A couple of things...
At the show in WDC, anyone who had floor seats (ie. GA or Field seats A1-A5 etc) had to go to guest services (and wait in line forever) and get a certain armband that allowed for access to the field. Anyone know if that's the case here?
Also, can anyone tell me how long (# blocks, or length of time) it takes to walk from the Septa stop? My knee is messed up and walking far sucks. Thanks!
The septa station is at the corner of broad and pattison, only a block away from the stadium (albeit a very long block). It's not a very long walk.

Everyone - just got off the phone with a rep at the stadium. The gates open at 7, and anyone with a GA ticket needs to enter through the south gate.
Fyi also parking is $25 in stadium controlled lots (not the aforementioned $40) according to the stadium's Twitter account. They also said lots may open at 2:00 (same as VIP parking) but it's still "TBD", so possibly earlier?

I just took a look at the stadium with google maps aerial view - I didn't realize that a lot/most of the parking in lot K seems to be under some kind of covering. That's good, so hopefully the interior temperature of my car won't be 150 degrees by the time I get back to it after the show.
Lot K has solar panels all throughout most of the lot with spots available under them.

So, looks like lots at 1pm. Reserved parking opens at 2pm.
Showtime is 8:30 (wolfmother), and Id assume whatever band wins the wmmr contest will go on at, say, 7:30 or so as people are filing in (just a guess).
Anyone know what time doors open? I'm GA. not lining up too early, but i'd like to head in when they open up the gates.

I just e-mailed Jetro on facebook and they told me it will be 40$ to park for GNR. The link is below. So not anywhere near 125 dollars!
https://www.facebook.com/ExpressParkingatJetro/
And the lots open at 1 pm. They just messaged me...gee the linc lot doesn't even open that early!
Wow thanks for doing that! Great info. $40 is what is being charged for eagles games this coming season, so that's what I fully expected it would be. Thanks for confirming the time. I was hopeful for a full day of tailgating, but wasn't sure what they would allow.

Funny how stub hub is selling the k lot tickets for $145. Someone needs to come up with a law to stop the ticket sites from buying parking passes and posting them for three times face value.
Wait for the day of when these geniuses realize they aren't going to get anywhere near that. Might get a really good deal.

Since the Wells Fargo lots will be closed parking could be a problem. I'm not sure if they will have the Citizen Bank Park lots open. I sure hope so or it will be a mess. The Jetro lot is $125, that's insane.
Where are you getting that info? They HAVE to have cbp open. Jetro is always priced the same as the other lots.

Every indication is wolf mother is opening. They are listed as the "official" opener on the GNR site. I think the local band is an additional opener. Not sure of set times yet tho
WOW they sold out super quick. Jetro is always a good alternative. We park there alot.
I'm really surprised. It's not a small parking lot and I can't imagine that many people ordered within two hours. Maybe they are holding some back to sell VIP spots

I don't think the view is that obstructed if you're along the rail....get behind people and all bets are off. I think Duff's side might actually be better if you get along the catwalk. They all move around a ton. At the show I was at, they spent quite a bit of time in and around the catwalk.
In Chicago, which ticket (PIT1 or PIT2) didn't even matter. It was open; I had slash's side, but when I arrived I could have just went over to Duff's. I'm sure it will differ between venues.
I experienced no moshing at all.
Yes, Merch outside the venue, multiple places. They should have lithos.
I am surprised the pits are connected, to be honest. Secondary market buyers might be more willing to pay additional for a side they want, only to find out that the sides mean very little.

Anyone know if Wolfmother is still opening or if this context on WMMR to select an opener is legit?
Haven't heard anything to the contrary about Wolfmother. If you look at the TM page, it says "guns n roses/wolfmother". Guessing the radio contest will put a band on earlier than wolfmother as people enter. The contest is definitely legit.

Thank you for posting - purchased a general parking pass so I won't have that to worry about when I get down there. I had to draw the line at the $92 VIP spots - I'll walk the extra 50 feet from my general spot.
Thanks for posting. I checked a little too late and General parking is already sold out. Dang it.
Guess I'll just get down early and go for the jetro lot.

When they come to the UK & EURO shows we won't have these seats on the pitch shit, will we?
You guys sure do love to piss and moan about seats on the floor for shows you don't have to attend. My god.

I'm from philly and I know a guy that works down there. They said no trailers no rv
You can thank the Kenny Chesney fans for trashing the place
No trailers and no rv doesn't mean no tailgating though.
chesney fans can't trash it worse than what eagles fans do to those lots 8 Sundays a year.

I just heard no tailgating for GNR due to the DNC coming in the following week. What crap!!!
Where did you hear that? I have a hard time believing that's true.

I have a ticket for the Pit. Is it segmented other than the Duff and Slash side?
Is it just one big Pit where if your up back you can sneak to the front. Or has security segmented the Pit for safety reasons.
Appears to be one pit on each side with no other dividers. Others can probably answer more accurately who have already been.

Not yet, but I'm planning on calling the stadium later in the week about this and will post any info here.
Any info? I keep checking, but nothing I've found.
The Linc hosted some country concert last week or so, and their Twitter dropped event info like 4 days before the event. For comparison, the lots opened at noon for a show that had doors open at 5 and openers at 7 (I think). So hopefully the lots for GNR will open early afternoon.

Can you move between PIT 1 and PIT 2?
I haven't been to a show yet, but everything I've read on here is that you cannot. Apparently there is security between the two.

I was at the 2nd Chicago show, however, based on the feedback I got from the people I was waiting with, the situation for the GA lines at the first show was the exact same.
I usually get the GA shows extremely early so I can get a spot on the rail. Based on my research here, I decided to get there around 2 o'clock (doors at 6PM) about 5-7 hours after I normally would. When I arrived at 2:15 I was very worried I was late. However, when I found the 'line', I found out I was the 7th person there....7th. I didn't even think I was in the right place. There were like 10 entry lines. So, I was still 1st in a line.
People didn't' really even start getting there until about an hour and half before and even then, I would say it wasn't until about 50 minutes before doors did the lines start to get full. Once again, this was the same story on Friday night to a SOLD OUT Soldier field, per the information from the first 6 people I was waiting with....for 2 hours without anyone else there.
To add to this, even after being down in the PIT at my 'coveted' rail spot, you probably could have gotten in there 45 minutes to an hour later and still been damn close/had a rail spot at one of the ends. Most people were getting beer or merch or just standing around drinking.
Obviously there's no way to verify if every venue will be like this, but from all the research I've done from kind folks on here, it seems that since the pit is so small...it's not as big of a deal.
Also, to review the actual pit experience. I've never had so much breathing room/lack of people pushing on me in a pit in my life. I was in the same spot at the end that I started in, and everyone was very respectable and just enjoyed the show and didn't try to push people out of the way and butt-in and stuff.
Really, every spot in the Pit is a great spot. In fact, there's something to be said for just hanging out on the back rails drinking your beer. But, I like the intimacy of the front, personally.
This is really helpful. Thanks.

I was in the back of the pit for Chicago 2. Still a great view
When did you find that it started really filling in?
was there room to breathe in the back where you were?

I hope not... the embarassing times of half sold arenas are finally behind us..
You really don't believe that with this lineup, they couldn't sell out an arena? Even in the stadiums selling poorly they are selling well beyond what an arena would hold.

Has anyone been able to find the event info for this show? Parking lot times, gate times, etc?
GA Pit Arrival time recommendations?

Well aren't you cranky.
In all seriousness, I had seats but I got a fantastic deal on GA tickets I just couldn't pass up.
