So just to clarify... Duff said very early last week that there would be some Guns news "maybe even this week".
Nothing happened except for the article getting deleted.
Now we're at Thursday and still nothing. Think Duff might have got a bit ahead of himself
I don't think anybody here is surprised at all

When Slash and Duff leave for good, this kind of bullshit and no new music will probably be reason numero uno.

Ok dude what the fuck is up with deleting every single bit of public information about possible new music? Why are they doing this? Don't they realize we are the only ones that give a shit about the "Slashed CD" singles? Okay you release the song, play it live the night before, yes, you are gonna make a bunch of mainstream media headlines worldwide, maybe sales will go up a bit, and then that exact same casual fan that bought tickets is gonna completely ignore the song, and then start screaming like crazy while pulling up their phones to record Sweet CH'o M, there is no need to try and keep up this top secret/classified/silent, almost "taboo on GNR land" way of handling this, hey, the people you are trying to hide this from has already heard the song when it leaked back in 2019, most people (not me but most i guess) have been waiting 20 years for this stuff. Just do it god damn it.
In my opinion, it *could be* that something happened, plans have now changed and they are not releasing shit, but i mean what if Slash goes on Eddie Trunk again and tells him that more Chinese songs are on the way and all that? Are they gonna call Eddie next morning begging him to delete the whole show?🤣
It's insane how Slash, Duff and Richard are letting whoever is doing this, to deauthorize them in such way, it's not that we don't know the reason, but it's just so lame to see.
It's super lame and extremly pretentious at this point. Hate this shit.
And yes, it makes Slash and Duff look like dorks.

He doesn't even know for sure himself.
Yeah, but for GnR this is shockingly precise

Wow, thats pretty interesting. So random that they got to interview him in the first place.
It's definately legit, they interviewed him the following day at Steinbergers Hotel.

It's probably already mentioned here somewhere...
I just read a review about the Frankfurt show from the german Classic Rock Magazine.
They say Duff said the next day that "there will be news from Guns N' Roses very shortly, probably this week".

Something that keeps me wondering. TWAT is often considered the very best CD song. It's certainly mine and among my Top 5 GN'R songs overall.
So, if you had to bet, from all we've heard of and about it, would bet that The General is better or at least as good as TWAT (the song, not the slang lol)?
I strongly believe that there are zero songs in the vault that are better than what we got with the Chinese Democracy album. He put his best stuff on that album and there are no "big guns" anywhere to be found.

How are the chances to get tickets for cheap in front of the venue tomorrow?
Is that a thing in London?

Am I the only one hearing different words on the Perhaps chorus?
Or at least, finished vocals
Specially 2nd line (‘…. you were begging for?’)
3rd (same words but clearer)
4th (shorter than the demo)
Wohoo, this is....exciting?
Not to be a dick, but come on...Perhaps...yawn.

Perhaps sounds almost exactly like the demo. Average at best song with no real guitar parts other than the shitty solo. Hope they move on quickly from these leftovers and focus on some actual new stuff.
If it's the same as the demo it's gonna be dead on arrival. Weak tune.

And for god's sake, keep Slash's solo spot to a couple of minutes. His usual 10-15 minute bowl of noodles would really test people's patience.
Yeah, this. NOBODY wants that, I hope he keeps his ego in check for this show.

Some thoughts that I have about all songs. Axl talked about 32 songs were worked at the time, 14 have been put in Chinese Democracy that leaves us with 18 songs, Hardskool and Absurd have been released so 16 songs right now, I think that Billionarie, P.R.L, Real Doll.com and Dub suplex are songs not finished and abandonded completely, I just think this because are too industrial and not match with the references of Axl saying that CD2 was going to be more epic. matching with this description Circus Maximus is probably not finished.
In Hardskool were pieces of vocals from Eye On You that makes me believe that it has not been finished.
Perhaps, Atlas, Quick Song, Mustache, Zodiac, Tonto, State of Grace, Oklahoma, Devious Bastard, Dummy, D Tune, Curly Shuffle, Nothing, Thyme and As It Began. This are the last choices. I know that are other songs that I have not put like Ides Of March, but Sp1at confirmed that It was not finished in that time
If CD2 was ready to be released these might be the tunes that are left with vocals:
Perhaps: leaked in 2019, we already hear it.
Atlas Shrugged: Intended to be in Chinese Democracy so finished also.
The General: Played at a party, for sure completed.
Soul Monster: Axl talking about one of the heaviest things he have done and also saying that he sang the chorus on Christmas makes me believe is finished also.
Oklahoma/Berlin: We have only heard an instrumental but was put it as an alternate song to Rhiad in House of Blues concert 2001 (some forum members in Gnrevolution confirm this), also the fact It has lyrics makes me believe It is finished for sure.
As It Began: There was a song played in the Vienna party where The General was played and someone described It as a piano song, the fact that Ron confirmed that nothing new was created from 2008-2014 makes me believe It could be this tune, even if this one is not sure there is for sure another song with vocals because if It is played in a party It has to be finished I think
State of Grace: It has scratch vocals, the fact that has vocals makes me believe It was finished in a later time.
Quick Song: Axl talked about in 2008, and has like a melody voice put in the version leaked, probably finished in a later time.
Oh My God: We already hear it and seems like a personal favourite tune from Axl
Seven: Brian talked about It when he was questioned about what tracks he liked more, I think that if he named It's because It is finished.
Thyme: CD2 tracklist leaked
Cuban skies: CD2 tracklist leaked
Tonto: CD2 tracklist leaked
Anyway, here is the tracklist of CD II (the songs that was given by the strange bearded man with the bears):
- "Thyme"
- "The General"
- "Jackie Chan"
- "Atlas Shrugged"
- "Oh My God"
- "Going Down"
- "Tonto"
- "Soul Monster"
- "Cuban Skies"
- "Monstrosity"
- "Light My Fire"
- "Silkworms"
That last things was the tracklist leaked a time ago, I have never heard about Monstrosity or Light My Fire so I won't put them as finished and Going down recently has been credited to Tommy Stintson so It won't appear on an album.
Doing this I remember myself to Pele😁
So my bet is that the finished vocals are between 13 and 15 songs that matches with the fact that It was said that CD2 was finished but another album would be incompleted at that time.
These fucking song titles again and again and again and again!! XD

Yeah, that weak falsetto Mickey Mouse nonsense is just awful, I can't get used to it, it's just cringe.
It's even worse when he switches to the way more powerful deeper voice within a song. Why the hell doesn't he sing TWAT with his natutal voice (apart from the screams of course)?
I don't get it.
