There's something different in Slash's guitar tone. Don't know if it's coming from the pedalboard or it's something in the mix.

At first, i thought it was something related to the recording device used in the video, but i've watched videos from others sources (and other shows) and i have the same feeling that something is different from previous tours.

I always liked his UYI tour tone best, it was the most iconic and very bad ass.

I think we're all pretty used to how they sound now but have a renewed interest/enthusiasm by the fact the setlists have finally changed.

Reviews are just calling the show as they see it, without that interest.

Yep. The standard was set VERY low in the last couple of years. It's just how it is.

    Problem not solved.

    It's not only positive.

A.I. 'art' is nothing like enjoying a beautiful vista in Tuscany or any other place, at all.

Why not just not give a shit and pretend it's all good and of no consequence and surrender to unthinking mental gymnastics? Because I can't. I care too much as a human being and as a creative. Doing that is anti-reality and in my opinion far more negative than bitching about it, even if constantly.

If anyone puts A.I. 'art' near me they run the risk of me deciding to destroy it.

I consider it a mockery and desecration of the human condition, mankind as a whole, as well as myself. I don't just want it away from me I want it to not exist even 100,000 years in the future.

    So you don't like it?

    My 9th GNR show.

I saw The Rolling Stones last year in the same venue and it was so good that i knew i wanted to book my summer holidays around the GNR gig in the same stadium.

The Spanish crowd is not Argentina levels but its by far the best GNR crowd ive seen. Ole ole ole chants between songs and during the hits i felt like being in the middle of the Live Era album with the constant crowd noise. I dont know if they have a new mixing person or a new mixingboard but the sound was louder and clearer than ever before at a gnr gig. I could hear Dizzy throughout the gig. The bass was never buried. Axl was loud as fuck.

At the beginning of the gig Axl didnt stop dancing during the solos usually when he often disappears offstage, so i knew early on this is gonna be a good one.

Bad Obsession i enjoyed a shitload (is that a saying?)

    Pretty Tied Up too!

Down By The Farm was wery cool. All of those should be keepers.

Rocket Queen was slower than usual and more "jam like" and probably my favorite rocket queen from this lineup. Very unique and cool.

Forever my dream songs to see live are. Twat, Locomotive and Prostitute.

When Axl announced "this next song is about a hairy time in my life"

I was thinking This I Love is next. But no.

    Enter Twat!!!!

I was freaking out. Filming a bit a not. Duff saw me freaking out and singing the lyrics. (Iwas centerstage about 12 rows from the front)

Axl NAILED the vocs on twat Slash didnt exaclty nail it. He was good but missed the bucket killswitchpart and seemed distracted.

When the song ended Slash ran backstage and Axl announced that Slash just blew his ear out. "Give us a second" Axl said while Slash was backstage for only a minute and they came back with Dont Cry. Followed by Shadow Of Your Love. So slash seemed ok at this point but a bit shaken. (I hope he didnt blow his eardrum, but if he did. What a trooper). From this point pf the gig Frank was visibly in pain. After every song standing up and stretching his right arm and shaking it. Didnt affect his playing but he was in pain for sure. After Paradise he threw his sticks in air out of frustration and hit his cymbals with his fists in full force. Never seen him do that before.

Axl fell down on the drum riser during Civil War. Just before the "fill that vacuum" part.

Slash had a new solo. Reminded me of AC/DCs Rocker. But it wasent that.

The crowd went NUTS during Sweet Child.

Then after November Rain we got This I Love with a really nice and unique Slash solo. I liket that.

    Then LOCOMOTIVE

    I was freaking out again.

    I love that song.

    The outro is peak gnr.

Im so happy i got to experience it live.

But it was dangerous and awesome and i loved it.

Axl said after the song "that was fun" so get ready for more Locomotives!

    After the encore

The acoustic guitars were out and they did their new intro to Patience except Axl interupted it.

Suddently they all changed guitars and started Yesterdays!

After it Axl said "i threw a little surprise. I like to change things up and not do always the same old boring thing"

After this the acoustic guitars werd back and the did patience. Now its 00:50 and the least tired person in the Stadium seemed to be Axl Rose. I have the feeling the only reason Paradise City was next was the 1am curffew cause Axl looked like he could do an hour more easily. Still running and dancing like Its So Easy just ended.

The Crowd was great for the last song jumping and chanting me included.

Followed by another ole ole ole chant during the bow.

    Slash did a handstand again.

This was the perfect rock n roll gig. Injuries. Fun. Unpredictable. 3h27mins of Rock n roll.

Yeah, let's hope for more injuries!!

    :D

Rio 2001 with The Blues, pure magic.... N. Rain 2.0 easily. Same here, Slash coming back to fold is the worst thing for gnr.... Before that, axl had something to prove and new music would have been a reality. Best we can hope for is more leaks.

That version of The Blues had a lot of magic, the final version on the album lost almost all of it, unfortunately. :/

I never missed Bumble. An example of being too open and willing to talk constantly. By 2011 and his public comments about the touring and lack of new music, I've never understood why Axl allowed it. To the point where he was essentially saying "fuck this band", happy to go on stage and get his pay check though! Then dragging out his departure. At least Ashba did his in a dignified way.

Axl needs more Bumblefoot type of people in his life, not less.

Musically, he never fit in. He's just too much of a (guitar) nerd, not a rock n roller and at the wrong end of the coolness spectrum. :D

Going Down is one of the best songs from the CD sessions. Tommy Stinson released an album in 2004 called 'Village Gorilla Head'. It is filled with great songs. I wonder, were any of them offered to Axl? The title track to Village Gorilla Head sounds like it is a tasteless Bumblefoot solo and synth track away from fitting right in on the final album.

Going Down is one of the few songs where it seems like the major changes made it better. The Tommy demo is broodier, while the more recent version is more up beat. It's ironic that it is one of their best possible radio friendly singles for the time frame that the album but it doesn't feature Axl on lead vocals.

I don't see why the current band would have any issue with recording and releasing the song. They clearly are using the CD material that was written by other people. My only hope is that they don't get tempted to do it with Duff vox.

Duff vocals would be so wrong on this one. Please no.
