Is there video of the Cleveland 2002 show?  I have some of the audio, but not the full concert. Did the full concert ever leak?

Well, fuck it, we finally got Checkmate aka Jackie Chan, and I'm loving it. Yes, kinda copy/paste, but a great start overall.

Maybe they just had to get Absurd out of the way with in order to please Axl. I am glad we got through that dark moment and are on the way to greener pastures!

Honestly, this sounds fucking fantastic. This is some UYI I level guitar work from Slash. I do wish Axl sounded raspier like he does on Chinese Democracy (Better, CD, TWAT), but I’ll take it. 
 

Honestly, I am glad they are salvaging these songs. Axl was at a creative peak at this stage of his life (whether we like the output or not) and he owes it to himself to let his artwork to be experienced by his fans. 
 

Now release the album!

I was too young when GnR was in their prime but during some of the CD years it was embarrassing to tell people they were my favorite band.  Everyone was quick to make fun of Axl.

 

I remember that. Although I thought Axl was way more badass in the CD years vs the NILT years

Watching some of the videos, Axl sounds a lot better compared to what I saw at Metlife just a few weeks ago. Just watch KOHD and Nightrain. So so much better. Fuck, wish I went to that last night. 

The Seeker

Axl has lost a lot of weight since the 2019 tour.  Probably lowest weight since before NITL started

They played Don’t Cry. So jealous. Axl sounded good on the stream. 

My two favorite front men of all time. I’d be disappointed if the cancel culture machine takes out these guys, when both bands have tons of vault material that should be released sooner or later 

Hope folks have a good time at the show and seeing the band in a smaller venue.

There was. Looks like it has been purged.  After the Philly riot, soundboards for most (maybe all) of the 2002 shows leaked online. I got a good chunk of the Cleveland show 

I am not convinced a new album is coming, even with the Absurd single. If one does get released, which would be fantastic, I think it would be the last full album of original material

Axl just doesn’t seem to have the inspiration that he had from the 1980s to the early/mid-2000s. Not sure what happened - would make for a fascinating documentary to go in-depth on the arc of his musical career and personal journey.  Unfortunately, seems like everyone close to him had to sign an NDA for the past 25 years.
