If Perhaps and The General/Monsters are the last singles that drop from the CD era before a "new" album. I fully expect this new album to contain some actual new songs, and the rest of the CD era stuff they want us not to think about as CD. Like Berlin, Seven, Zodiac, etc.

It seems like Axl is reluctant to record any new vocals. Not sure if any of those other CD songs have vocals or if theres any left with complete vocals other than Atlas.

I dont have faith a new album will happen unless Axl decides to get in and record something.

    What a refreshingly tempered response.

A quick comment to the release taking place outside of any touring schedule. I believe The General was intended to happen outside of the touring schedule because I don't think Axl wants the pressure of having to sing it live with his current state of voice. Which is entirely fine with me. I also hope this means the band will release more singles in 2024 when they will not tour instead of waiting to whenever they tour again. I want music ASAP, not connected to tours.

I dont think Axl is pressured to sing anything he doesnt want to. He chooses the setlist.

It cant be vocally worse than 2023 Hard Skool, Better or YCBM could it.

I agree with wanting new music instead of endless tours.

What are you talking about? Name one other band who has a manager who takes the time to go to reddit and respond to fans who give him nothing but hate in return. Imagine how busy management are, they don't have to do any of that for us but they do it anyway because they care. We just got a huge boxset with 63 unreleased songs and you're getting upset over 1 b-side being delayed?

Haha on reddit it shows how unprofessional he is trolling fans tbh.

    Bad example.

You do know those "unreleased" 63 songs were just live concert recordings.

  4. Simply more people know who Slash is. More people prefer the albums released with Slash. More people attend the shows to see Slash with Axl than any newgnr guitarist when they were around.

Majority want to hear slash and his style on newly released singles not some forgotten newgnr guitarists.

Axl if he had some intergrity would be recording all new tracks with the band.

Different audiences, and not exactly the same thing. The Stones are releasing an album, with proper publicity. Guns is just releasing another CD-era track, who knows if they will have proper digital release, and seems like they are not going for the same kind of impact and we shouldn't expect it either. Either way, people won't have to chose between the two releases.

BTW, there's a lot of good Stones tracks since 1980. Voodoo Lounge has some great stuff, like Love is Strong and Out of Tears.

I also liked the blue and lonesome covers album they released in 2016.
