thanks guys! Is this the case for most other bands? The lead singer like Axl and Jon calling the shots?

In RHCP Anthony writes setlist. Similar to Metallica, they have 50-60 songs rehearsed and then Anthony looks at the previous setlists in that city, how's he feeling that day or if the band wants to play some songs.

That's also the same with Pearl Jam but they have like their whole catalog rehearsed lol

  2. I don't see any point in going to big solo shows (arenas and stadiums) to see anyone really. Huge European festivals cost like 300€ for 4 days and have a ton of huge bands that would cost like 1000€ to see. They're not really for young kids anymore, there a ton of options even for 50+ people.

Let's say I wanted to see only Kiss, Motley Cure, Iron Maiden and Slipknot. Standing for their shows are 70-100€ and that's already 300€ worth at least

Did RHCP change their setlist after the criticism?

Anyway, GNR could at least play 80% of their usual, then just change up the 20%. Not necessarily new songs, but Locomotive or Bad Obsession or Bad Apples instead of Witchita Lineman or Better or CD, etc.

No, still the same ~10 hits, 2-3 deep cuts, 4-5 new songs

Actually, Foo Fighters dropped in as alternates as Pantera was dropped due to Toten Hosen (absolute Gods of rock music in Germany and Kings of Rock am Ring and Rock in Park) got shit from their fans for playing same festival like Pantera.

NOBODY at Ring and Park is bigger than Hosen or in Germany in general. And I am a fan of FF and Hosen.

Hosen are also fans of FF so that adds together.

It's true that Pantera got dropped because of Die Toten Hosen but FF wasn't a replacement, Pantera was 6th down on the Kings of Leon day

I wouldn't rank Kings of Leon as headliner material, too, but we'll see. I could totally see GNR as headliner happen, but I could totally see it not happen as well.

Still nothing new (not even rumours) regarding GNR in my hometown.

Kings of Leon are headlining everything they played in the last 10 or so years. Including RaR/RiP in 2011 and 2014

Personally I don't get how but they do headline every major festival

I hope that the live streaming from Glastonbury (I'm guessing by the BBC?) will be available to watch from outside the UK (at least in other European countries). Going to a muddy festival in the middle of nowhere is out of the question for me 😅 Hyde Park where you can stay in a hotel is way more appealing.

I lived in London for quite a few years and like other people have said here, the press in the UK is brutal. A lot of it is sensationalist trash, they won't miss the chance to slaughter GNR and it will for sure be below the belt, like mocking Axl's weight 🙄

Usually it isn't. I use a VPN usually, I love glastonbury. I use it like a radio for those 3 days. They stream everything from the biggest several stages

  7. Anyone watched some videos and compilations of the celebrations yesterday in Argentina? There's A LOT of injured people, I think some even died. People were climbing anything they can, a lot of guns and even machete, a lot of naked people... Also some burnings of Mbappe pictures and making a "coffin" for him

I don't remember that happening since I watch the world cup in 1998. I know there are more and more cameras each WC but damn

  8. To be honest I think the best playing teams this year were Brazil and England. Brazil crumbled under pressure against Croatia after they outplayed them and scored finally (and Croatia had so much balls and was really calm even after going down 1:0) where England outplayed France but didn't convert that to a win as it happens in 1 game knockouts

Oh..."cringe". If I knew I was talking to a silly teenager, I wouldn't have wasted my time.

I'm not a teenager - I think it's cringe that you put out a whole theory about how I hate all non Europeans because I think Argentinean football players played dirty

Wow...that's a lot of crying about Argentina winning...

Dutch pus**es provoked before the match, all the extra time and during penalty kicks but WE (and i'm saying "we" because i'm a PROUDLY argentinian) are the despectable people...

Are WE the barbarians and you, europeans, are the civilizated gentlemen? What a XV Century way to see things, huh?

Netherlands started the fire. Messi is one of the most respectful and respectable players in football history, he barely got into a fight in his whole carrer and if he talked shit is because he received the double of shit from Van Gaal and part of the team.

Anyway... I'm strongly wishing that if Argentina falls against Croatia, the bitter serbs will have to watch croatians win the World Cup.

    cringe

Also, I'm rooting for Croatia - I always root for the exYu countries in the world competitions

  11. I started out watching the Netherlands vs Argentina game pretty neutral, didn't really care what's going to happen but oh boy - I've become the biggest fanboy of the Netherlands by the end. Argentineans had so many dirty plays, that Messi handball was wtf??? also shooting the ball directly into the bench???
