I'm a Serb and I didn't really expect anything from this - I said it would be 3:1 but damn, isn't it frustrating to watch your team playing against someone that's just 2 tiers above you lol

Argentina should've scored like 3 in the first half. They had shocking 20 minutes to start the 2nd half after that. This is on Argentina, they're 10 times better than SA and they got outplayed in the several periods and were destroyed tactically

Also, another upset/surprising result with 0:0 Tunisia vs Denmark

To share some more random thoughts. I love that they put out probably everything they record, even if a lot of those albums are full of fillers. I also think they're the best when they do Turkish/microtonal stuff and high energy heavier stuff - I don't like their take on the indie pop.

I also think it's much better than at first. I played it 9 times so far according to my audio player. I still think that Eddie is the only top tier RHCP song but I enjoy pretty much everything except for the yayayaya part of Tippa My Tongue, damn it's so annoying

Just listened to the album and EPs (or singles or whatever?) and Laminated Denim + Timeland + Iron Lung are amazing. Album is a bit meh other than that song

They play UTB on like 1/3 of the shows, they switch it with Soul To Squeeze and I Could Have Lied almost evenly with Sir Psycho Sexy sometimes being played at that slot

They keep skipping songs from the written setlists. I have no idea why. On ACL fest they skipped Otherside, Parallel Universe and Under The Bridge - that's like 15 minutes of play time right there

I don't fully agree that it's 7 songs plus bonus tracks that are good but the middle is noticeably weaker than the rest of the album (and UL)

I like that there were several songs that RHCP never did, like In The Snow or My Cigarette

All in all, it's enjoyable. If you put the best songs from those 2 albums you'd get a great RHCP record - similar level to BTW. The rest of the songs could've been bsides. This way with 2 full albums there are some duds. I'm not bothered with it, I would like if every band released (almost) everything they record

The album is out. It seems that a lot of people got their vinyl/cd today. I saw 10+ pictures

I loved that the solo has some parts of their jam fans named "Don't You Ever Leave" that they used to play as an extension of Throw Away Your Television during 2003-2007

That would be a top tier RHCP song if it didn't have yayayaya 

Even with that I would say this is the best Anthony's vocal melody since like SA from the top of my head

I would say that James is the best guitarist in both bands. Solos are not everything 

Chad Smith shared it on his instagram, I guess he's a given to show up at the LA show

People that liked Korn at their peak are like 35-40 now lol Also Nirvana vs GnR isn't a big thing among people that weren't around back then

Just judging by the GnR and Slash shows I went it's really was every age, a lot of kids and teens and a lot of old people as well. GnR is still a gateway band to rock and metal

I don't like the structure to be honest. It's new songs then deep/er cuts then hits. I get the new songs being played together due to theme but it's still a bit weird

I'm gonna say no. Frusciante never played anything from Dave, only Flea may play Pea sometimes and it seems John is not acknowledging anything that Josh did in the interviews so far so I don't think they'll play those. It's really going to be 0-2 Hillel songs + 16-18 Frusciante tracks depending on the night

It's really his worst moment on the album. It's there with Detroit from The Getaway:

He did it with the little thing I think it's called a Ford

The lead guitarist played it great. but he looked soooo tense during the first few minutes as somebody already said  His rendition of SCOM is one of the closest to the studio version I thought, he copied it 100%. Slash changed some small parts even in the 80s

There's not a single song that I thought was really good. Nothing is terrible either tho. It just merged into one song both time I listened to the album so far

RHCP always records a shitton for their albums. Just for from the Stadium Arcadium sessions we got 37 and we know some more exist. I'm With You sessions also had 30 songs released and there are also some named songs that didn't get out. They had a scrapped album between BTW and SA that we got bits and pieces several years ago...

All in all, RHCP doesn't release albums often but when they start recording they record a lot. I think somebody from the band said (maybe Anthony in Scar Tissue? don't know) that they stop recording when the songs start to sound bad, not when they have enough for an album

Josh doesn't like IWY because all of his songs were left out of the album by Rick Rubin and then later put on I'm Beside You. I don't think I heard him dislike The Getaway tho. I didn't listen to all of his podcasts and radio interviews tho but that's what he was saying when he left the band

Just got done watching all the live stuff. It's so nice to see them jamming again, it comes SO effortlessly to them. Chad Smith is such a good fucking drummer, I think one of the most underrated ever, I never see him mentioned in top drummer lists.

I have to listen to the Rick Rubin podcast now. Feeling super excited to see them in September. I have decent tickets, but really wish GA wasn't fucking $700. Don't know how many more chances I'll get to see these 4 together.

Fly to Europe for a weekend and watch them anywhere for that kind of money lol
