  1. I listened to the album 6-7 times over the last few days. It's really really good.

What I like the most, it sounds like they had a lot of fun and that they didn't try to write a hit (maaaybe Black Summer) rather just songs they like. Other things I like, some messing around with song structures and sudden changes. Guitar solos that sounds like John tried 3-4 things and just played the best one - I feel he's going to improvise so much live. A LOT of funk - the most since Californication I'd say. My favorite songs are Aquatic Mouth Dance, The Heavy Wing, Here Ever After and my absolute favorite One Way Traffic, I don't know why but it's such a fan little track

It's not their best album but every song is like between 7 and 9

  2. That dude said he won't leak it sadly

Also, today we're going to get to hear 2 bsides from The Getaway. I don't know how people got them but they got them. They were supposed to be released and their names have been known since 2016 but were never released anywhere

This has been true since the beginning as well. Stone and Jeff were already part of an established band on the verge of breaking out before Pearl Jam. With Ten a lot of the music was recorded as instrumentals before Eddie joined.

I kind of wish there was more crossover between Guns and PJ. I wonder if they might have been a better opener during the UYI tour than Faith No More who hated the experience? Plus they'd be on tour with Soundgarden who they were pretty close with.

They opened for RHCP for a long time on their BSSM tour but that was in 1990 and 1991. I think PJ were bigger than FnM and Soundgarden by 1992 and UYI tour so I don't know if they'd accept it

THE dictator of Belarus has accidentally revealed that Moldova could be the next country to be invaded.

Alexander Lukashenko let slip Vladimir Putin's possible next move as he was giving a televised presentation on Russia's invasion routes in Ukraine.

You can see some lines at the bottom that are showing some lines going into that (almost) Russian country in Moldova

totally not a 1:1 carbon copy of german nazi propaganda. only this time, everyone else is a fascist and nazi, of fourse.

That's a carbon copy of any war propaganda. Do you remember USA propaganda over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Even now Ukrainian government officials are posting videos from video games as examples of Russian aggression

I'm not defending Russia, they're at fault here. What I'm trying to say, calm down and don't get hyped up about everything you read :D

Don't know what to think. Video and situation is just strange. Had war in my cointry and never saw cars and tanks driving side by side casualy...

There are videos on twitter of Ukrainians coming up to Russian army and just asking them questions like:

"hey is it safe to go there?"

"yes, just some tanks passing by"

    It's very strange

Yep,because - again, history and Russian actions...

Saw a video few minutes ago, there are lot of dead. No way todays bodycount is 50-60 as reported. And "funfact" - Russians bombed town closer to me than to Russian border today....

I'm in Vienna currently and I had that same realization. They're literally bombing cities that are 500-600km away from where I'm sitting

  8. So if I'm understanding this correctly. Big heads from Russia sat around the table and decided that they can invade eastern part of Ukraine because USA and EU won't confront them and they think they can survive sanctions for a few years?

I don't think this is a fair comparison. RHCP are obviously more popular and mainstream and their music also speaks to a lot of non-rock fans, at least since they became more pop in the last twenty years. Besides that, they have been releasing a lot of music in the last twenty years, with a lot of hits, so they're a lot more well known, also with newer generations . GnR hasn't had a real hit song since the early 90's.

They have similar number of spotify listeners. RHCP 23m and GnR 20m. I think it's comparable. RHCP is more mainstream currently and that's kinda what I wanted to say. GnR is failing to be that band and they're trying hard (not the actual members, I'm talking about the brand) to be cool and hip with the kids

  10. I just saw that the music video has 7.4m after 3-4 days. Abusrd is at 2.5m after 6 months and HS is at 2.8m after 4 months.

Those are bands of roughly similar sized fanbases (GnR maybe even "casual" fans?) and I'm still amazed how GnR fails so hard in creating any hype after the reunion happened :D

  11. I listened to it a few times more today. I like it a lot more now. I think I expected to be blown away like I was when I listened to Can't Stop when I was 12

It does sound like a random Stadium Arcadium album track but I think that's perfectly fine to be honest. I enjoy the sounds that 4 produces together
