Axl looked cool with backwards hat on

The massive leak happened about 4-5 years ago. It was vegas 2001, Ritz 87, Saskatoon, Chinese 2 leaks, and some others I’m forgetting haha might be close to all the good stuff fans have. The best chance is Axl or TB just get bored and start releasing the vault. It’s all recorded, even a UYI documentary that followed the band throughout. Axl is the biggest asshole that won’t leak stuff (I say that with respect) haha

Thanks for clarified that for me, but how did we get the original from saskatoon and that means we can in the futurw maybe get something similar from other shows? Line i don t know the original from arg 92? It would be awesome, somebody know if there are ant other shows about to be leaked or sonething like that?
The GNR bootleg/unreleased content world is a hell hole of unsatisfying results. Saskatoon was the rarity that wasn’t on the radar. But for the most part it’s a dark world of assholes hoarding stuff for big profits or fear of being sued
And 99% of em are liars anyways

Saskatoon appears to be from the original tapes. I don’t think you’d be able to find the original source of the other shows mentioned. Most are just poorly made copies. Also possible that with Saskatoon being a 93 show that they used better equipment on that tour. Indiana, Chicago, Oklahoma, St. Louis were either stolen or copies though I believe. Whoever had Saskatoon had the original.

There’s a good quality Paris one out there. It gets blocked when it gets posted

Part of me wonders if Axl wanted to piss Slash off to the point that it didn’t happen. I think Axl still has that destructive personality and would have been right at home if the reunion blew up because Slash didn’t agree with Axl. But I also think Slash understood that this was possible and just said “screw it we’ll do it your way, once we get it on stage together you’re going to love me”

Axl’s loyalty seems strong. But DJ did a good job of feeling the room. If it was offered and turned down then it was done properly

I hate that Axl sings over that part. Those intro licks are classic and shouldn’t have Mickey pissing all over the top of them
Been one of my biggest complaints for years
Even if he rasped it I wouldn’t want him to do it haha

Don’t want to be nitpicking, but I think that was Glendale, not Arlington iirc. Just in case anybody wants to search it on YT
Hmm those shows were around the same time. But Glendale was after houston I think and arlington before houston. It’s a video shot from the side and is only the outro. But pretty sure it’s arlington
edit: watched both! Love the energy on the Glendale one more. Arlington was better vocally but great times!

This is my thirteenth GNR show since the reunion (I am a lucky boy). That’s the best vocals Axl has had on Patience yet.
I’ll have to listen, my favorite is still Arlington 2016 outro. He went into a sprint around the stage and sounded incredible. Then hit 2/3 of the high notes at the end. It was the best for me

Really? Team Brazil sound like the people that throw their food at the workers at McDonalds because the bun was a little hard.
I can’t remember the story but apparently they hired some interns to shoot the troubadour show for free and then hired a professional company for Dodger stadium. The free company thought they were promised the dodger gig if they did the first one for free, they got into it with TB and god knows what happened with it all.
they played Wichita lineman tonight?
Love Wichita Lineman. It’s nice just to see Axl, Duff, and Slash have a acoustic performance together and to hear Axl sing well. It’s a beautiful cover IMO

I was at both Dodger Stadium shows in 2016 and at least one of them had the helicopter filming overhead. Not sure why they never released it.
Something to do with a disagreement between team Brazil and one of the companies hired to do the filming. Went back to the troubadour show or some nonsense

Only Houston would be listenable.
I listened to the pro shot of Brasilia 2016 and Axl sounded great

Chicago 92 is my favorite that we have but I know they’ve had better nights just not available to listen to now
-
Give me the 2011 Denver civil war performance!
appears that’s been deleted as well haha

Patience sounded good. The tempo is slower. Axl could probably enunciate the lyrics a little better, but his voice works well here until the last couple lines. Even sounded good on the first part of the outro.

My favorite for entertainment is VH1’s behind the music haha not the best or most detailed but it’s a fun 45 min story of the band with their music playing throughout

Coachella 2016 is on my personal top 5 list. Flawless performance
Especially for the moment, Axl doesn’t always have the best pro shot performances but he nailed that one. The scream was unreal.
Again I have to say please check out Cincinnati 2016 Jungle if you haven’t already! I get goosebumps watching it

Yeah, I was 16 and lost my mind when they played Coma
You lucky SOB. You’re the guy that goes to a baseball game and the home team hits a walk off home run haha
Best Jungle of the recent times is 2016 Cincinnati! Just needed Adler on drums and it would be perfect.

I got grounded for 6 weeks for coming home from that show very late on a school night...it was 100% worth it, amazing show! I felt bad for my other buddies who had tix for the second night.
You were there! Some performances that come to mind from that show are Coma, November Rain (love when slash would sit on the piano at the end) don’t cry (I think Shannon Hoon joined that night?) and a powerful you could be mine. Axl’s voice being in good shape and the tempo the band played at that night was perfect! Some great sounds came out of that pro shot. Glad we got it

Love that performance! I think Chicago 92 is my favorite for the intro and performance
-
If Axl can just fix his vocals for an album or a live recording then that would be fantastic. If he can’t then none of it really matters

Rock n roll Damnation is another favorite due to the skill it took to sing it in that manner for Axl

Best I ever heard Axl was at an amphitheater in 2013 in Lubbock Texas haha go pull up a YouTube video of paradise city or jungle. He was on. Haha what I saw in 2016 was a complete performance from a great band. I do like to listen to ACDC performances with Axl on songs like Rock n roll Damnation and High Voltage. Those are songs he would Mickey with GNR but sounded incredible on in ACDC.
Love these threads haha
