Probably had a bigger show planned and felt guilty about it. Nice to communicate his health post show. I know he probably thinks nobody cares, but there’s plenty of fans that want to see GNR in good health, good spirits, and putting on the best show they can. Look forward to any surprises going forward

The year is 2030 and Hard Skool is still coming
2035 the “Not in my Classroom” tour begins

Better should definitely be removed, the intro sucks now, the vocals are weak, song is weak, there are better songs to pull out that would be truly better than better

Not to go off topic but there's a GREAT series on YouTube called Reliving The War on a channel called Wrestling Bios. Dude is going week by week through the Monday Night War and comparing every segment of RAW Vs Nitro. You should check it out,it's a great series.
Definitely will! Appreciate the recommendation.
to bring it back on topic late 97 Shawn Michaels reminds me of Axl haha best quote “I will give you a show that you have never seen before… Why? Because I can.” – Shawn Michaels

I shit you not, this is true:
I'm watching WWF Monday Night RAW from August 9th, 1999 right now while keeping an eye on a mygnr thread to see if GN'R plays a new song tonight.
So, in short, I've invented time travel.
Classic! I rewatched from mid 97-2002 recently haha greatest TVs series ever

Please let it be the last date on a SA tour.
Then they retire at the end of the show! What a moment that would be
The last show will have like a 50 song set though

Axl loves the hard rock! Maybe he’ll put on a new show tonight haha

It really shouldn’t matter what an old band sounds like. Rock needs new talent, new sound, that captivates a majority. From what I’ve seen Guns N Roses were the last classic rock band to have achieved this. The personalities now don’t exist, the bands are rare, organic sound is lacking. These old bands aren’t meant to carry the torch forever, someone new should be there to take it and run with it.

The 2002 show I went to in Detroit was so odd, but so awesome. There's a decent video bootleg of it out there. I came away with a lot of thoughts that night but first and foremost was "holy shit, that Robin guy kicks ass"
What was Axl’s vocals like being in the arena? Obviously you could nit pick the videos for being too clean but I imagine love it had to have some power
-
Axl can switch to their in ear on his microphone to relay things to the band or joke around. Duff and Slash can hear him while he’s singing but it would be very muted. It’s amazing what those in ear devices can do for musicians now.

The two people next to me said Axl sounds like shit haha granted this was after the RQ and YCBM parts of the set. It’s very clear how weak he’s singing right now on a majority of the set. Sounds like he still has the power to push it but has completely changed the way he sings to preserve his voice? Idk he’s holding back quite a bit though. When you’re there you get so pumped up you wonder how he doesn’t just go all out and turn it up an octave but he’s done these songs so much he’s lost the emotion in them.
Civil War he’d find the energy to let one out like on the “When everyone is fightin for their promised land” line and Madagascar did well with the crowd. The MLK part always gets your attention live. That build up to the last part is pretty emotional I’m surprised he doesn’t belt some power vocals into the close of that song. It would really cap it off perfectly

Has anyone ever noticed how long KOHD is hahah
-
Civil war was cool live haha sometimes he lets out a note and you’re like this motherfuc*er is holding back on us haha
-
Axl is extremely clear in the mix in the lower bowl haha would have been the night to have a good vocal outing
-
Not his best performance tonight. Estranged was good though
-
Not sure if it was bands fault (pretty sure he just forgot to start singing) haha but he messed up the start of Chinese too.
-
Axl messed up the ending on jungle haha but it sounded cool. Think MTV 2002
-
Arlington was too! I showed up for tonight. Who knows how many tours they got left haha
It’s packed
-
Hopefully they open up with Right Next door to hell. That’s a real opening song

It seemed so effortless for him to sing it that way too, barely any 'mickey' lol. It's definitely one of the better performances of that song since 2011...
That was the year he also opened that little show at the Brooklyn Bowl with Youre crazy and had one of the best vocal performances while sick.

Yesterday I was mentioned of that specific show by @Gordon Comstock. Estranged was probably Axl’s raspiest version since the 90s (I always recommended Chile 2011 but I think this one beats it). A truly mindblowing performance
That’s right! He did nail estranged on that second half. That was nuts

Was he saying Axl was getting help on ACDC material with manipulated distortion? Haha Axl I’m pretty sure sang every song with no artificial help.
