  2. if its GN'R related but not a GN'R album... Buckethead's albums, Gilby Clarke first album, Izzy's Ride On (nothing special about it, but I kinda like it) both of the Sixx A.M. The eleven singles from Bumblefoot in 2011, Normal and Abnormal, some of the tracks from the Ashba's solo band that never realesed any album, Duff's The Taking, Slash's AL (You can't deny that Anastasia is the best track that he's realesed since 91) and ... I don't know am I forgething something? anyway those are the ones that I really liked the rest may have been good but either did nothing for me or got me tired too soon

  3. Life doesn't owe you your own personal happy ending

Just becouse it reminds me that if I want one, I have to go out and get it for myself, after all life doesn't owe us anything at all.

from the songs I wouldn't know wich one to put, the breakdown one that you just named would be on my list but I wouldn't be very sure

  4. Bucket and Ron are better simple as that, while Fortus n' Slash depends greatly on looks and simple solos Buckethead n' Ron push themselves to their limits becouse they love what they're doing, Bucket can go from the most strong and fast of the guitar tracks to the most beautiful ballads without even adding lyrics, in fact I think that many of his songs could become hits if they had lyrics, like Earth Heals Herself, the shores of molokai, Soothsayer and Nothingham Lace. The thing is to take an example, Slash solo's never have really amazed me (or Richard's for that matter) (with few exceptions like NR, Estranged and Anastasia) but then again here comes BUckethead with the songs I just named and they all sound simply more amazing that anything that could come from the other two. Ron is a weird kind of guitar player, he has a very personal style that you don't really see in any other guitar player, like Buckethead he can go from being fast and angry with his guitar to play with a lot of "soul" whatever that is, and he has some great songs that I really love from him like Let Your Voice Be Heard and Father. The guy has overall one of the best talents in the world. Also I notice that many people doesn't like Buckethead looks or attitude on stage from one reason or another but if Slash tried to do the same the crowd would boo him out of stage right after the first ten minutes and thats becouse BH is able to bring the same amount of emotion (and even more) as Slash without having even move any part of his body asaide from his arms playing his guitars, and sure he has a lot of fun in his shows, (from nunchakus to break dance and other weird things) but when it comes to him and his guitars is just them, the people that goes to see buckethead doesn't go to see a showman, they want to see real music from one of the best guitar players in the world. Simple as that

  5. Actually it was one of the first songs from Chinese Democracy I came to love, I remember hearing it for hours in my bedroom, school, at my father's house with my friends, at almost any time of the day. It listened 145 times in my Ipod before the first three weeks (yeah I know I get a little obsessed with music sometimes)

  6. AFD: Rocket Queen (Best track in the album, great closure and the great lyrics and instrumentals)

Lies: nothing ambitious here, not bad not great, just good.

UYI I: November Rain (This song just has so many things going on that I'm surprised that most people just takes notes about the solos and nothing else while every time I heard it I can't stop thinking about the piano and the background sounds that it has in it.

UYII: Estranged (almost the same thing as NR with the difference that this song is almost the perfect ilustration of the time where Axl wrotte it, perfect from the very core althoug I always wanted to hear it just with a piano and vocals like that NR demo)

TSI: nahhh I won't put anything here.

CD: Prostitute (perfect combination between all the instruments whitin a band that is so huge with all of the players seeming to put their soul on that one track, great lyrics and vocals by MR Rose, more than great solo's by the master Buckethead and perhaps the biggest effort ever made by the band, one of my all time favorites GN'R songs.)

  7. I for once never wanted Slash back, well I did but that was way back before I heard CD for the first time, I mean I have nothing against Slash, but after seeing both of them in different concerts I still enjoyed more "Axl's coverband" than Slash's gig even if he had one of my favorites singers of all times (Myles Kennedy) people here love to hate on Axl whenever they can (and in many ways I know Axl has it coming specially for the time it takes him to realese one album now) but fuck at least the music he puts out is great and original and it doesn't sound as generic as Slash's work that he is doing now (and no one song A.K.A Anastasia can't save a whole álbum for me, althoug it does gives me some hope on him). Personally I see it this way, many people on this fórum also love to hate Myles Kennedy and his work, but while AL is one of Slash's best Works since his GN'R days, is not even in the top five of Myles Kennedy's albums, ABIII could easily kick out of the wáter any álbum with Slash since UYI and for gods sake when was the last time that Slash writted a song that was nearly as powerfull as Blackbird or Words Darker Than Their Wings (and I said writted so November Rain, Estranged, Breakdown and Don't Cry don't count as they where all written by Axl and the last one by Axl & Izzy). So what I'm trying to say is that while Axl does take almost a life time to get his albums done, when he does realeses them they do the work for me and sometimes is even more than I expected (for example I never expected Axl to writte a song like CITR or TWAT, two songs that are easily in my top 5 GN'R songs of all times. While Slash althoug he is a very talented player as shown by some of his previous work I wouldn't want him to be back if it will only cause to make Axl's songs to become as generic as Slash's albums. Again I don't want to offend anyone on this fórum or Slash, I just wanted to express my opinión.

  8. well is one of his masterpieces, for me it is Prostitute, TWAT, CITR and Estranged in different orders deppending from the day that you ask me today I would go with prostitute, tomorrow some other. It always change.

  9. I really don't get why does people even belive that Axl hates Slash, I mean, for all this time before nu-guns stared Slash was the one talking about Axl while Axl did whatever he wanted with his life, then he decidded to move on and start CD (a Project that both Slash n' Duff tried to stop after they QUITTED the band) so he decided to leave them behind, its the same thing all the time with him, if you're cool with him thats cool. I don't see him having a trouble with Izzy, Robin or even Buckethead (aside a couple of fights with BH). I knew he had a fight as well with some fashion dude and then ended playing in a show for him (that many people in this fórum trashed) he has played with both Duff n' Izzy in the past with no real issues and was open to the idea of going to the hall of shame (No Judas Priest, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple) with Slash being there. Why he didn't show up? becouse he would be denying all of his current and some of his former band mate's work they did with him for the las 17 years or so, why he would choose Duff over Tommy when tommy has ben at his side for more tan 10 years now? is not even a question at the end of the day. many of you belive that Slash n' Axl where the best friends in all guns but I don't think that was true, for example when Axl was getting divorced from his first wife I've never saw any interview where he thanked any of his bandmates at the time for helping him in the way he thanked Paul Tobias for helping him rebuild guns back in the late 90's. probably some of the inexplicable Axl crazy behavior from back then was the result of seeing his friends and bandmates getting further away from him while getting closer only to drougs (remember Slash being told by his doctor that he only had six weeks left of life if he carried on whit his life in the way he did and how Duff almost died after he's páncreas actually exploded).

So why he wouldn't reunite whith Slash? Simple he doesn't want to, from all the former band mates Slash was the one whom talked the most, and besides this is the way he acts, if there is something that he doesn't like he just erases it from his life, he did it with Slash, his former managers, Tracii Guns, Adler, n' who knows who. Its not even hate, is more like he doesn't even care anymore, he doesn't even like to have interviewers talking about Slash with him becouse he knows that its not going to happen, while Slash takes any opportunity to talk about Axl, Scott or his current former Singer that made his life awful for any given reason. I just hope that Slash doesn't do that with Myles Kennedy becouse I'm a huge fan of him in Alter Bridge since I first Heard them playing Metalingus back in 2006 (and yes I know their first álbum came out in 2004).

  10. Well I'll give my point of view, Axl is a real artist becouse all he cares about is his music, and it has been that way since the start, even during AFD Slash and Axl didn't really get along, but they supported eachother becouse they knew they where the best they would find to follow their own visions then when Slash wanted to create another AFD Axl said hell no and decided to go bigger, and make the Illusions, once again doing his own music in his own way, wheter anyone else liked it or not, if I'm correct there is even a lot of people that said that the UYI were not real GN'R records becouse how different they were from AFD or Lies, and even with Chinese (my personal favorite) he refused to take millions to work again with a guitar player that he no longer nedded or wanted in his band (Slash and I'm not saying this to disrespect Slash in anyway) and he did his album in his own way, sure it was not the best way to do it, but he did it anyway and he never apologized for being whom he was, good or bad he decided to be himself, and of course I'm sure he had many doubts in his mind many times, but he still decided to do what he felt was best for him. Thats the difference between a real artist and a comercial artist that will just go for whatever he think will give him more money

  11. Some cold hearted motherfuckers around here, guess if it doesn't affect them on a personal level it isn't important

Not just here but people in general appear to be cold hearted.

a bitch at work barged in on me as I was watching the news on TV this morning and said " oh, I stopped watching that yesterday, I don't care about it anymore, blah blah, blah ".

really, I feel for the new generation of kids growing up-but then again I don't as most of them are sociopaths. No one opens doors for you anymore, there are no more yes ma'am, yes sir, a polite excuse me...not even a thank you or you're welcome anymore.

I'm glad I grew up in the late 80's, 90's....

This has to be one of the worst comments I've ever read in my life

  12. my personal take: WTTJ: its alright, not my favourite, a little overrated

Sweet Child O' Mine: I just don't get whats so great about this song in the album, but I still like it anyway, again is not one of my must hear list

Paradise City: Great song, not the best from the album (for me that title goes to Rocket Queen) but then again is one of the best on the album

  13. Why are you interested in yet another USA Tour? Enough is enough, isn't it?

It's never enough when it comes to GNR. I'd like to see them as many times as a I can...I love the band and I love the music. I don't see any problems.

Me too... but we all kinda want new music now :(

I'd love new music also but I think their catalog is big enough to keep touring and putting on great shows. Now if only they can add OMG, Perfect Crime and other songs from their printed "setlist" to the shows that would be much appreciated. Their problem is not new music it's changing up the setlist once and awhlie.

Talk to me in another 5 years then I might be very annoyed if we dont have new music.

Really? It takes TEN years for you to get annoyed? You, sir, are a very tolerant/patient person.
    I have kids :tongue2:

The kids thing really explains a lot, but 10 fucking years? men if you said 8 or 7 but 10! that seems like a little to much, but I guess is not so much considering the 17 years between UYI and CD

  14. Yeah, I amended that thought in my second reply here...

If the singer doesn't die early and your band breaks up without much output, it will just become virtually forgotten and ignored by radio/media.

Pretty much this, AFD set the bases for a great band, without the UYI I don't think people would care about GN'R they would be seen righ now as one hit wonders and nothing else

  15. Hated it at first, then gave it a couple listens more and ended becoming one of my favorites tracks from GN'R ever, granted not in my top ten, but it would be in my to 20, and that is saying a lot

  16. Well, depends of What GN'R we're talking about 80's GN'R: Rocket Queen and You're Crazy (Lies version)

    90's GN'R: Locomotive and Breakdown

00's GN'R: Oh My God and Street Of Dreams

10's GN'R: I choose when I hear something from them, until then I'll just tell people to listen to the Sixx AM records, Bumblefoot and Tommy solo albums and Ashba's solo work. Specially focusing in the Pink Panther Theme from 2011, that is the first song from this lineup that we heard (even if it is instrumental)

  17. Awful.

yes, yes, I get it, you don't like new GN'R and you don't like Ron, well I think everyone in this forum know this by now. But let me ask you something if you don't like Bumblefoot why did you came to a thread that was named "Bumblefoot Appreciation Thread" Thats like me going to a Justin Timberlake or Bieber thread, a waste of time and for many coments I've seen from you, you don't seem to like anything from the new lineup or the from GN'R since 1994 so... maybe you should look out for something that you actually like, maybe some other band or start doing something else (maybe joining to a charity or playing an instrument) becouse you seem to be really unhappy here

  18. Fuck I hope GTA V gets to be better than San Andreas, but even GTA IV came short against it, and besides the only thing that GTA IV had against SA where the graphics, the rest is all in Los Santos. I think this game can be two things 1) The best game in the history of GTA. 2) The game that makes me stop buying GTA Games.
