  1. 'm curious why Miguel didn't sign to fight Canelo. I'm guessing he thought he'd get Floyd again. Being that he missed both he's gonna take a pay cut against a presumably tough opponent. For someone at his stage of their career. I think that's a potential disaster. Being with Roach, is smart though, I think he can help preserve Miguels career and hopefully get him two more wins against top quality fighters.

If he did win two more fights against top quality opponents that would make him about the most underrated fighter going. If you think about it he's only lost of Floyd and Pacman, unless you include bludgeoning a man to shit with a glove-ful of plaster a loss  And he was kinda weight-fucked for Pacman. And yeah, he didn't sign for Canelo because he was hanging on for Floyd it seems, as his name was being bandied around. Should've hung on really, i would've liked to've seen that.

I wanna see Thurman Guerrero, does anybody else want to see Thurman beat Guerrero like as if he was a bird talking out of turn in the 1950s?

For those who are interested in Jack Johnson and Arthur Cravan (limited edition of 500) : http://www.orbispictusclub.fr/very_boxe.htmlcouverture_very_boxe.jpgvery_boxe9.jpg

15 previously unseen pictures discovered in 2013 depicting the legendary fight between Cravan and Johnson in 1916.

Christ Almighty, there's a fighter *bows* i am seriously not worthy.

Murray's trainer; 'If he's there, just whack im in the 'ed!'

Nothing will ever beat Algieri's one.

'I'm gonna let him out his cage, he's gonna go to sleep in the next r... *Algieri gets sparked"'

    OUR SURVEY SAYS....

I agree Len. Miguel doesn't seem to get the attention he should and he's the lineal middle weight champion, crazy. I think he's had a tremendous career and two more wins against high quality opponents would solidify him as one of this generations best. He'd certainly get more attention if it weren't for Floyd and Pac, lol... Two losses though, or even one could have a bad effect to.

I'm definatly interested in the Thurman fight. He's gaining alot of popularity over here. Should be a high energy fight against Martinez. Thurman v GGG? Some big hitters there.....

Nice find on the Jack Johnson Box. There's a dude who had some big balls, doin what he was, at that time.

I'm with you, why not stay where he's most successful. I only hope the top flight fighters around his weight don't start avoiding him. I could maybe see him and Canelo fighting. Alvarez seems to want to fight the best.

Gonna be an exciting year for boxing, alot of good potential matchups out there in the middle, welter and in between weight classes, even the heavy weight division might see some good action. Boxing has actually been producing some to flight action the past few years, I think its gonna be even better with the creation of the PBC, even though I had it out for Al, lol.

  3. He does get caught, no denying that. I'm honestly struggling to compare him to anybody. Not because hes great, but because he kinda just, all the sudden became a name. I'd heard of him for a bit but never would have guessed he would become the next thing in the sport. I got it , Rocky Balboa, lol....serious.

I looked at some options for Cotto. There ain't to many because alot of dudes are fighting in the spring for the PBC etc.. I always thought he'd fight an up an comer to cash in a bit on being the lineal champ at middle weight. So maybe a lesser name then wait for a fall fight with a big name. I think he was talking retirement to so, this could be his last year. Good blood and guts fighter, HoF'er?? Close for me. Depends on how he finishes, right now I think he has one foot in.

He's called Cotto out a few times now and no response, obviously, who's got a deathwish like that? But Cotto holds the belt off Maravilla who GGG had been after for a while, Martinez was basically shot but still somewhat game so it's not without merit, Murray also beat a less shot Martinez. Now, Cotto is blocking the path to unification and he has what, 2 fights at MW (can't remember if Trout was at 154 but he lost that too) whereas Golovkin has countless... it don't seem right that he's keeping running, he ought to either vacate or take the fight.

I think GGG knocks him out in 5 rounds but I like Miguel, he's just not an elite middleweight but who knows he could surprise us, he's definitely a great fighter regardless but c'mon middleweight champ. Alvarez is a money spinner and solid fight and he just beat Lara and Angulo so that's valid but the guy even diva'd out of an Alvarez fight for no good reason.

I'm a long time Cotto fan to, but hes on the downside for sure. I always had this thing where if a guy had won a belt his next fight could be against a B type fighter. I've no issue with these guys trying to make some cash while they hold the title. Unfortunatly not all of them are Floyd.

That's why I mentioned Kahn. He's the lesser of the bunch out of the bigger names but still is enough of a draw for Cotto to make some cash then go for a big money fight. He's about out of time.

Nice win for GGG, it sucks that he is 32. I really hope we see him in a big fight next time out. Would like to see him against Chavez Jr then clean out Hopkins, Froch, and then fight Ward. Ward is a bit aways and needs 2~3 fights to get back into it, imo..

  5. Yeah, Im with you. To a degree, he's got that issue with getting rounds in. So he could get beat on points by a good boxer. Who is it though? Nobody wants to scrap with him either, too much raw power. Maybe he fights Ward in a year or so. That'd be a great test. I think Ward is to big though.

He's is being handled carefully, if he gets through Martin, he will be moving up to the big dogs. He already holds a few belts, now he needs the names.

I wonder what Cotto does now? He fucked himself royally. No Floyd, No Canelo. Where does he go, Khan? It'd be the easier fight for him, imo. He's got some options, just not that big payday he just missed on.

  6. They guy can take em as good as he gives em. He threw a knockout punch while taking one on the chin himself.

Is he the best boxer, not even close. He exposes himself like all boxers do. But he is a very good fighter. I won't say he's great yet. Once he gets in with a few big names we'll see. He's a good guy to, something the sport needs. I think he is right were he should be. The next 2 years, hes going to make his run to greatness. And he fights 4 times a year.

Ill add, though that Martin will be a good test. Nice solid fighter himself.

  7. They've been doing the same thing off of the US coasts of Alaska, California and the Gulf of Mexico. For some reason they also thought it would be diplomatic to send a warship loaded with spy equipment over to Cuba recently, when the US was having negotiations with Cuba.

  8. Imo, if Floyd tries to walk Manny down, he's waking into a buzzsaw. Although Manny is typically the smaller fighter he usually stands his ground or moves forward. He's got mad crazy stamina too and still has super quick hands, faster then Floyd.

Imo, Floyd is better off being the counter puncher, like Marquez was even though Manny feinted himself into being knocked out. Now, there is a chance that Floyd will pick and choose his spots to be the aggressor, especially to win rounds, kinda like Leonard v Hagler, but that will be determined by how Pac is fighting back defensively by either staying put and brawling or escaping to his right, (to avoid Floyds right).

I really believe this fight is going to be made only because of the chance meeting they had in Miami. Floyd had a chance to size Manny up, face to face and see how much bigger he is. Margarito (and Oscar) thought he could bully Pac around to, both got jacked up. Not saying Floyd is like them, he is 37, just throwing it out there that size doesn't matter with Manny.

All that said, I think Floyd wins on points, as usual. If Manny wins, its by early knock out. 4th or 5th rd.

  9. Obamas answer: Give them jobs.

For some reason Barack doesn't realise that these radicals are born and raised to hate the west. The radicals don't understand that their own governments are the oppressors. They don't want fucking jobs, they want to kill everyone who is opposed to their ideology. Anyone of em could drop their guns and get work but they don't want that because they are born and raised to kill.

I remember when I was a kid in the early 80's, seeing the kids in Iran and Palestine on tv chanting death to America. Now those same kids are all grown up and killing people, but lets stop all the hate and start building some more McDonalds in the the Middle East. Free Happy Meals for everyone..

  10. I heard exact same thing today. What I heard differently this morning was that Floyd wants to make the announcement and wants to do it differently or different them past fights.

The Super Bowl has past NBA All star game has past. I don't know of any other major events that would be a good platform to announce this fight.

Maybe a commercial, Twitter?? Idk, but the deadline is fast approaching. It was also said that Floyd is looking to do a bit more with the HBO 24/7. Something different....

  11. Haha, rumor was. Floyd stayed in NY after the NBA Allstar game, to finish details. What I just heard was its now in the hands of the execs at Showtime, to sign off. Sounds like its a go and they want to make a proper announcement.

Floyd is also rumored to be getting 60%...sounds fair.

  12. After the attacks in France, the President of Egypt gathered all of his countries high clerics and imams. He asked them to consider making some changes to the way they teach Islam and to reform. It was reported in the US for 2~3 days, and then went away.

Either way, its gonna take a long time for change and acceptance to set in. Fighting wars and shooting or blowing the place up because you don't agree with another human beings faith and beliefs is mindless and a war that will never end.

Lol everything is reported in the US for 2-3 days and forgotten.

For the most part that's right. I was mainly making a point that a president from a Muslim country did stand up and renounce the radicals who are destroying their faith. Its a shame that others haven't followed suit to the degree that the media will pick up on it.

if the US media did that where would they fit in a story about kim kardashians ass?

Id guess sometime after the weather and before the first commercial about erectile dysfunction...lol.

  15. I would never question a fighter with Floyds skills as a boxer. The guy is great but I'm not putting him on any alltime list. Of this generation, yea, he's been the best. Put him in the ring with the legends of his class and I'm gonna pick against him most if not all the time. There's something that Manny has that Floyd isn't sure of. Why the hell can't they figure this out. He had the Maidana fight done on no time. Same with Canelo, what the fuck man. Could possibly be the last great pay per view in a long time. Get it done. Fuckers.

And Arum is a dick to, for running his mouth. Maybe he should shut the fack up.

  16. Bush knew that it would take more than just a decade, I believe he said it would take a generation.

I believe he said " Mission accomplished", actually.

Free reign of ISIS would have never happened in Iraq under Hussein's rule. Despite numerous ruthless, violent and plain sad aspects to Hussein's dictatorship, an average Iraqi person, Middle East and hell, world as a whole were better off before USA decided to liberate the living fuck out of Iraq.

Saddest bit is how none of the above is some collective Captain Hindsighting; Everybody who actually was familiar with Iraq's situation and social structure knew, in 2003, much about how the decades to follow US invasion would appear. Only people disagreeing to these predictions were the ones wearing Team Bush jerseys.

Right, he said that in reference to the combat, not the overall objective. The rebuilding part and being able to sustain it would take at least a generation. I do agree with your comment about Saddam and the vacuum it created when he was removed but that doesn't mean it shouldn't have been done. Had the Dems not turned and if they stayed united with the Reps, everything would be different. Doesn't matter what shirt your wearing. Either were united or we aren't. The media created a fire storm over troop casualties, which when compared to any other wars, were very very low. Check the numbers. But the Dems made it political. Both sides do it, they both suck.

Obama announcing the specific dates that troops would be leaving did nothing but allow ISIS to lie in wait. He recently sent more "advisors" and Special Forces back over bringing the number up to around 2500. A bill was just passed the other day allowing more to be sent over to help train the Iraqis for at least 3 more years. That means the next president will be doing alot of the same, Dem or Rep. Nice of him to do though, he's just a tad slow.

  17. Bush knew that it would take more than just a decade, I believe he said it would take a generation. Not as an occupying force but helping to rebuild after the fighting had ended etc.. A

large portion of the US along with some in the Congress and Senate changed their views on the war. Obama pulling the troops out to soon is what caused the vacuum and created ISIS. That and the newly formed Iraqi army throwing down their weapons.

Now recently, Obama has resent around 1500 special forces back over there to retrain them. In the mean time the US Congress is going to vote tommorow on whether to use military force against ISIS. If the vote fails, some say it may, I hope Obama has the stones to use one of them executive powers that he likes to throw around and override it.

  18. What makes them so ridiculous, besides the obvious, is that they don't seem to care who it is they slaughter. Christians, Jews, men, women, children. And of course other Muslims...

They're modern day savages, with no specific reason. Just randomly slaughtering innocent people. I hope the King of Jordan unleashes on them.

i think its only a matter of time before the fight against them escalates even further.

I think so too. I've read that several Arab countries are pissed about what they did this time.

yeah same a lot of muslims were protesting against them which is just awesome to see.

Yes!! That was great. A very good sign people are fed up with the bs, especially the Muslims who practice in good faith.
