Are there disappointing sales numbers listed somewhere?

There were three versions of the UYI reissue (uyi1 deluxe, uyi2 deluxe, and UYI super deluxe) and all of them failed to make it onto the billboard 200.

In contrast, the different versions of the AFD reissue were enough to get AFD all the way back to #10 on the billboard 200 in 2018.

They haven’t done TSI because of the same reason they haven’t done reissue Lies. They don’t want to include Look At Your Game Girl. Plus there are upfront mechanical licensing costs because of the covers.  Live Era is probably more of a possibility

The next thing I could see released is a NITL live album, otherwise it will be Atlas Shrugged/Monsters for the next tour

A CD box set would be awesome.  I just don’t think we’ll see it until they are done releasing these “new” songs

LAYGG was only ever a hidden track though, tbf.

  3. Didn’t the UYI reissue(s) not swell well? There probably won’t be any more boxsets. AFD and UYI are now remastered. The AFD box rendered Lies as obsolete. The UYI box rendered Live Era as obsolete. GH has already been reissued multiple times. The label clearly doesn’t like CD.

The most I can see is a single-disc TSI reissue with those two extra covers added (with Duff singing), but even that’s a stretch…

  4. I had a dream last night that I was reading this thread again and someone leaked a bunch of snippets from the supposed “new album” and they all sounded terrible. One thing to note though was that this supposed “new album” was Axl singing over unfinished velvet revolver tracks. I don’t think we will ever actually get a new album, mind you, but it was an interesting dream nonetheless.

  5. The Superman reboot is just called Superman now (unfortunately).

Also, slightly off-topic, but the Joker 2 trailer just dropped, and I have a new theory about it: what if when we first meet Harley she seems like just another patient, but then we find out at the end that it was joker who corrupted her in the first place all along? (Like in the comics)

  6. Saw The Orwells a few nights ago. Great show! Got to also hang out with the band before and after the gig for a bit. They were really nice. I know they’ve made mistakes in the past, but they seem to have grown a lot now.

Seeing Green Day and the Pumpkins in August, and then Weezer in September. Might also see Metallica and Pantera in august too, but that one isn’t set in stone for me just yet.

  7. Sucks to hear that he has health issues. Hope things are better for him going forward.

This band is cursed when it comes to lead singers, man… Lzzy Hale is awesome tho. Glad they got her.

I'd like to see it just so that during GNR's set, before his solo, Axl could introduce Slash as 'our original guitar player' or something snarky like that.

I wouldn't bother seeing Motley for free these days... but it would be pretty cool if GNR took a page out of their book and did their own kind of 'Crue Fest' tour (similar to Slash's blues festival tour I guess). 3-4 younger opening bands, cut the set down to 2.5 hours of all-killer-no-filler, record and release one of the shows...

Slash technically isn’t the original GnR guitarist though ;)

  9. Looks good. I enjoyed the 2022 Batman film a lot. So more of that universe is always a welcome for me. The movie ended with penguin replacing falcone as the head of the mafia, so it’ll be interesting to see how this show follows through with that.

Got Buckethead tickets. Really interested to see what kind of shows he'll be doing with this band he's assembled...

    Buckethead June 5

    Rolling Stones July 5

    Slash's Serpent Festival July 8

He has a band this time?

I wouldn't say better than Chinese but certainly not far behind it. What a record Ain't Life Grand is! Far superior to It's Five O'Clock Somewhere for me. I go back and forth whether Contraband or Ain't Life Grand is the best Slash's post GN'R album. I'd lean towards Contraband bacause I absolutely love Scott Weiland but man Rod Jackson was the shit. I wish they had done more together.

Supposedly jackson was difficult to work with, according to slash.
