  1. Wait what?! So the setlist actually came from a credible source? That's huge! The General is like the holy grail of unreleased songs. Wasn't expecting them to release it this year 😳
  2. The general public doesn't know or care whether these new songs are derived from old demos. Only dedicated Guns N' Roses fans are aware that these songs have origins in the past. Not gonna comment on the quality of these songs compared to the band's older catalog, since obviously it's a matter of taste. All I know is that the comments section of the Hard Skool video on YouTube predominantly consists of positive comments and it's already a more popular song on Spotify than for example Breakdown, Perfect Crime, Get in the Ring, Bad Obsession, Dead Horse etc, which is not too shabby.
  3. Perhaps is literally on the setlist, so it's pretty safe to say that they'll probably play it at some point. Of course Going Down was on the setlist a long time ago too, so nothing's guaranteed with GNR. But still, Perhaps is currently the most likely new song to be played and released.
  4. What is there to talk about? They can't play every single song from their catalogue in one show. They might play You're Crazy later on this tour or they might not. You're Crazy is not exactly a staple on the setlist and if you're going to add a lot of new songs on your setlist you have to drop some other songs.
  5. No Perhaps and I'm not even disappointed. The setlist was so good and there's a very good reason to believe that we're gonna get Perhaps this year.
  6. Down On The Farm sounded just as good as I imagined it would. I'm happy that they're listening to our suggestions
  7. What do you mean? After Reckless Life there's Shadow of Your Love and then You Could Be Mine. What I'm most excited about is "Perhaps" It really does look like Perhaps is after Civil War/Live & Let Die.
  8. I love these personally! Obviously it doesn't sound exactly like how Axl would sing it. It's the original vocals with an Axl filter. But I think they're fun to listen to. And the more this technology develops, the more potential I see in this. There's plenty of songs that would sound much better with Axl's vocals. It's very likely that I'm going to prefer some songs with these AI vocals more than their original versions especially when this technology gets even better. I don't care about all the "there's no soul in it cause it's not a real humans voice" arguments. I just don't care. If it sounds good, it sounds good. And some day these will probably sound very good.
  9. Thanks! I always appreciate when people give me music recommendations. I listened to some Show Me a Dinosaur. It was decent post rock, but unfortunately I'm not a huge fan of that genre. I feel like most post rock music sound pretty much the same. I know that might sound like sacrilege to fans of the genre, but I don't mean to diss the genre. It's my problem. I wish I would enjoy post rock more, but I need a lot of variation in my music. Paradise Lost is also ok, but it's a bit too gloomy for me to get excited about. I tend to gravitate more towards weird and experimental music like Radiohead or crazy fast paced music like, I don't know, Frenzy by Iggy Pop was probably the last rock song that I really liked, even if it was a bit generic, but I really liked the energy.
  10. What can I say. It's a matter of taste. I always hear people talk about how there's so many great rock bands out there but every time I ask for recommendations people give me some boring uncreative wannabe Led Zeppelin type stuff or some death metal growling that doesn't interest me much. I've tried to find interesting modern rock bands, but everything that I find is usually just okay at best. Sometimes I might find one good song from a new band but the rest of their discography is boring. Typically I gravitate towards music that breaks new ground instead of trying to sound like old bands so I've been listening to other genres lately much more than rock music. But I always hope that I would find some new rock music that would excite me. Especially fast paced rock music that isn't generic would be great. Or something experimental like Caleb Landry Jones for example. That's one modern artist that I really like. Not sure if you can call it rock music though. But yeah, I was talking about my own taste and unfortunately I struggle to find modern rock music that I'd enjoy, no matter how much I search for it.
  11. Sure, I get that. I don't like rock music that's too sterile either. But I was talking about my own taste and I'm not a big fan of Josh Homme's voice personally. QOTSA and Crooked Vultures are okay, but none of their songs has the kind of energy as The Pretender for example. And I just prefer Dave Grohl's voice a billion times over Josh Homme's voice.
  12. Yeah I was surprised about that too. For my taste I'd say Foo Fighters is probably the best active rock band out there currently. Of course that says more about the state of rock music than it does about the quality of Foo Fighters. The band hasn't released anything that great in a while, but at least they still release music and the music is fine. Not great but fine. That's more than I can say about almost any current band. Josh Freese is probably my favorite drummer out of everyone who's been involved with GNR, so it will be interesting to see what he will do with Foo Fighters. I'm sure that they still have some bangers left in them.
