  1. Axl Rose - you pouted for 20 years after you took over the band and alienated everyone of significance, and when faced with playing bowling alleys for the rest of your life, you sold out your position because in reality you stand for absolutely nothing.

Well done fat man. Come out of hiding and face your critics. And this time don’t send your loser son to speak for you.

    We’ll be waiting.

  2. The way the tangled web works, in my observation

-Axl Rose is a bipolar man that entrusted Beta to take care of him

-Beta and her family have been taking advantage of Axl for years to maintain their “value” to Axl so he doesn’t put them out on the street

-MSL at some point acquired email transcriptions (and possibly other material) proving that Beta was working against Axl’s interests to maintain her “value” - this included directly communicating with people on Axl’s shitlist behind his back

-MSL befriended all the psychos in the GNR community in his efforts to trade for hoarded material

-Team Brazil now has to balance keeping Axl happy, MSL happy, and the psychos happy. Failure to keep the psychos happy would cause them, and MSL by association, to retaliate by leaking the damning communications and endangering the job/lifestyle of Beta and Fernando

I honestly feel sorry for no one involved - Axl’s a dick, Team Brazil are leaches, and MSL and his minions are holding a perpetual gun to Team Brazil’s head

That's probably why walker got so mad about Saskatoon leaking - It was going to be another item used for blackmail until it got liberated

What actions can we as hardcores take to make this band change how they treat us?

If we don’t go to shows they still sell because of all the casuals.

    Thoughts? 💭

We should make a Axl Rose Can’t Sing Anymore video with highlights of his worst moments, and we should upload it every day to YouTube and social media under thousands of accounts

If they want to do takedowns, make the assholes work overtime

Oh I didn't know they did this as well.  I know Prince himself had a huge love for not allowing any of his music on youtube be it live footage or studio cuts, and even before he died I was saying how many younger fans he was missing out on by not allowing them to discover his music the way they discover new music nowadays

Prince didn’t like not being able to control his catalogue, Henley wants his fans to come to concerts and enjoy the moment

Axl’s prerogative? Who the hell knows

All things considered, it just sucks that the people who love the band the most can't bond with each other over videos of the band on Youtube, which is all we have beyond a box set with 30 year old demos and an album from 2008.  And anyone in management who is not a part of the solution, is part of the problem

Don Henley and The Eagles have the same “delete all bootlegs from the internet” policy, but at least with them they have a couple great live albums

  6. I don't think this has been brought up yet -

The version of "Welcome to the Jungle" on the Village Sessions set dated 10/8/2001 was almost certainly recorded for inclusion in the movie Black Hawk Down, which was released theatrically on 1/18/2002.

    Quote

The music supervisor for the new Ridley Scott movie, Black Hawk Down (due in theaters on January 18th) confirmed to Allstar that that her company had been dealing unsuccessfully with GUNS N' ROSES' reps to include a remake of the song “Welcome To The Jungle” in the soundtrack, due out on January 15th. "I found out that it's incredibly difficult to license GUNS N' ROSES songs," Kathy Nelson told Allstar. "We tried for the rights to the original masters, and then a re-recorded version. We came close, but it just wasn't going to happen." Although Nelson claims that she has no knowledge of the group's internal business, it was previously reported that the song in question was eventually excluded from the movie and the accompanying soundtrack due to legal issues stemming from the fact that old band members (and in particular guitarist Slash) would have had to sign off on it, which is something that vocalist Axl Rose has implied the axeman wasn't willing to do. The track "Minstrel Boy" by ex-THE CLASH frontman Joe Strummer was used instead. (Blabbermouth, 1/9/2002)

Former GUNS N' ROSES members Slash (guitar) and Duff McKagan (bass) have filed a lawsuit against the band's lead singer, Axl Rose, claiming he ripped them off to the tune of at least a million dollars, according to Celebrity Justice.

In the suit, Duff and Slash claim Rose doesn't have any controlling interest in the songs, but they say he killed deals that would have put their tunes in a half dozen movies, including "Just Married", "We Were Soldiers", "Death to Smoochie" and "Old School". In addition, Rose allegedly squashed a deal to allow the producers of the movie "Black Hawk Down" to use the band's huge hit, "Welcome to the Jungle" in the film. Instead, he wanted to re-record it, thereby allegedly cheating his ex-band mates out of the licensing fee. (Blabbermouth, 5/4/2004)

So holy shit, it looks like the 2010 album/follow up to Chinese really is floating around. And we may hear it sooner than later. If and when the planned March release pans out, these all loose value and people are panicking.

If a 2020 album with the NITL lineup is just the 2010 album with Slash and Duff overdubs, then fucking lol

    Laziest fucking band

The stupidest part of the story is whoever this Rick guy is and other fans paying $15,000 for the CDs.  The fuck is wrong with them?

    That's kind of a bargain

I would have paid that myself if that's what it would have taken to liberate it

A bunch of poor assholes pooling their money and going "YOU TRUST ME, RIGHT BRO?" to each other as one of them leaks everything and screws over the collective is exactly where this all went wrong
