I dig it, sounds like Polyphia, but with quality control (I like Polyphia btw, not a diss lol)

Was axl cracking jokes during the solos?
Yeah, he was also in a good mood and less bloated

Has anyone got the tabs for hardschool ?
Its easy to learn by ear for the simplified version of it
To my ear,m: There are basic rhythm guitars that play the verse riff only using single notes (not power chords), theres a guitar thats panned to the center that plays a power chord variation of the riff, and then theres also a pair of guitars that are playing a very odd octave-chord melody, that are buried deep in the mix.

Hey Zoot! I'll buy some beat up old piece of junk on the condition that you stack it with unheard GnR demo cd's.
But on-topic.... None of this has ever been circulated and possibly doesn't even exist anymore, right?
IIRC the Q Sound mixes are around in a stereo format, but they sound like low fidelity shit; possibly the transfer is the culprit? Assuming they are the same mixes that Clearmountain did
I have them only for the purpose of having them (at least they were labeled as q sound versions)

I wouldn't say this stream sounds anywhere near as good as Red Hot Chili Peppers/Metallica official recent soundboards, but it sounds decent
-
I think his Nightrain sounds good overall and his Rocket Queen choruses sound good, but the verses are a little whiny with his newer voice (compared to his voice in 2008ish for AB material)
He sings nice on SCOM, but I guess I can say that I dont really like it

For the first time in the last few years, i have huge expectations in this tour! Maybe some slightly different animation videos on the screens or axl finally wearing a new hat, or maybe they are opening with chinese again... i'm so excited! or maybe, just maybe, we'll get another great cover of a semi good song by an artist, who passed in the last year! Or they'll bring back ashba! well, a man can dream...
Maybe he'll be joking alot and less bloated too!

Maybe lies could've been this:
1. Patience
2. November Rain
3. You're Crazy
4. Used to Love Her
5. Cornshucker
6. Jumpin Jack Flash
7. Move to the City
8. One in a Million
Honestly GNR had the opportunity to mix shadow of Your Love, heartbreak Hotel & jumpin Jack Flash into the "live" mixes with lies, and of course move to the City, Cornshucker & a acoustic cover Jumpin Jack Flash, no idea why they didn't.
1. Reckless Life
2. Nice Boys
3. Jumpin Jack Flash
4. Move to the City
5. Mama Kin
6. Heartbreak Hotel
7. Shadow of Your Love
8. Patience
9. You're Crazy
10. Used to Love Her
11. Cornshucker
12. Jumpin Jack Flash
13. Move to the City
14. One in a Million
Considering the Matea Rehearsal was only 7 months after lies was released, the demos hes talking about could have also been
Locomotive
Garden of Eden
Dont Damn Me
Dust N Bones
and of course You Could Be Mine

I love Take what you want from me. The other song with post malone is just a meh song for the song itself. Cool to hear him finally do something in the rock genre after doing so many covers of rock songs.
Ordinary Man is a great song.
Ive only listened to all the other songs once but All My Life stood out for some reason
The guitar tones dont bother me. Sounds kinda like Royal Bloods tone

He was...
but unfortunately not on stage with them
When I heard Myles announce they were gonna bring out a friend, I had a small sliver of hope that it would be Slash, but it turned out Tremonti's bands guitarist

Theres a good chance Slash was at the Alter Bridge show tonight in LA. Megan (his GF) posted clips of the concert on her story
-
Watching a rerun of it on fox.
Its a pretty good "bad" performance from axl. Hes at the very least sustaining the falsetto/grandma notes. It wasnt embarrassing.

With the exception of Philly 2012, RQ hasnt been good since 2010.
I tried findin the philly 2012 performance couple months back, but seems like it has been taken down. I loved that performance

I think Myles would be able to connect more consistently with Slash if Slash ditched his typical blues progressions.
Slash writes a mean riff, but the verses usually consist of your typical blues rock progressions.
I will say sometimes it works

Just saw them in Pomona. It was great. I do think they need to mix jeff a little higher when hes not screaming, because on fall to ascends verse, you could hardly make out his vocals over the band.
King of Delusion was awesome. Dereks keyboard fell during the song when he wasnt using it(one that was set up specifically for the piano parts only for that song)
I will admit i left when they started playing coming home, as i knew it was their last song, and i dont like that song
-
We did "Oh My God"
He thought the drums on the original sounded badass btw, and that they gave it a totally different feel
-
I like Wither to Black. Some parts remind me of Soundgarden-era songs
King of Delusion is nice and heavy. BBFs solos around 6:30 is probably the best hes done, right next tl Labyrinth, and Turn Around (from his solo albums)
Resurrection Day has a cool prechorus/chorus

Dont really like Desolate July. And they need to hire a good lyric video guy, bc that one kinda sucked

Havent actually tried to "dial-in" a sound yet. Heres what it sounds like using the emulated output on the amp itself. I'm slightly disappointed in the PDI-03, sounds a too dark/muddled but maybe I just need to mess with the 6 options that it has. (or just apply EQ in on recordings). Even so, that sounds better than GuitarRig modeling. I like it. At some point I need to get an actual cabinet (or a different cabinet simulator)

The TSL is underrated. It is capable of some good tones. Robin used one with GNR I believe
His Ernie Ball String Theory spot convinced me to get one

Just saw a recentish pic of Slash in a Maiden shirt. Would never have thought he'd have been keen at all, doesn't seem at all his thing. Does anyone know if he's ever talked about Maiden?
Well he likes Metallica, who were heavily inspired by Iron Maiden, so it wouldnt be far off to think that he likes them. Tey (GNR) opened for Iron Maiden back way back when. And Slash was a guest on Bruce's radio show in 2010 to promote his Slash solo album

To me shadow sounds exactly like Steven. It has stevens "sloppy" "lazy" bass drum playing.
Also the hihat sounds like the same one they used for Appetite.
Also. Why would they overdub him with Frank without crediting him?. I doubt that the original drum track was that bad.
Knowing Axl, the only thing he probably had Caram do was put samples over his kit like they did with the village sessions

I just bought a used JCM2000 TSL100 and a Palmer PDI-03 cab simulator for it. It arrives in 2 days

I like AB so I'll check this out later as well.
Unpopular opinion: Myles Kennedy does more tasteful guitar solos than Tremonti
