When does GN'R go on stage?

I became a fan of this band in 2012, so I haven't had to put up with most of the bullshit that some of you older folks have. I've seen this band 4 times since 2016. St. Louis in 2017 was the greatest concert I've ever attended, I go to a lot of shows and that show is yet to be surpassed for me. I've been a huge supporter of Axl since the reunion, I always tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. Saturday night was one of the most disappointing things I've ever seen from this band. There are a lot of things that play into a bad show. Based on the accounts of those that went, it sounds like there were definitely some sound/mix issues.
Sound issues or not, I've finally seen this band for what it is- a brand that's trying to make as much money as they can while putting in the least amount of effort. It was crystal clear to me on Saturday that this band doesn't, and hasn't given a shit since 2017. There were some low points in 2017 but even then the shows were still fairly good and everyone looked like they were trying. The last three years have been nothing but a band going through the motions. Everyone looked tired, bored, and generally indifferent. To quote @youngswedishvinyl, "Fuck, I'd rather be at a funeral right now".
This show isn't even the worst part though. It's the disrespect towards the fanbase. This band does not give a single, solitary fuck in any sense. They don't release new music despite having multiple 6 month breaks and a full year and a half where all anyone in the world could do was sit at home. They promote this tour as "the next chapter" and a "brand new show" and then come out and play the exact same set. I can't even blame Slash and Duff because we all know who's running the show. It's frustrating when you absolutely refuse to release music to a fanbase that would love anything you put out.
I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just seeing things as they are right now.

No scream, new intro, AND Axl is chatty? What's happening?

They've definitely been doing something. No way that they band could've just bummed this one and have it sound as good as it does right now. If it premieres live, even if there's not an album, single, or EP on the horizon, this is still a form of a new music technically, and it's a step in the right direction. I've listened to the soundcheck 10 times already haha.
Agreed. It's been 5 years since Slash and Duff came back, there's no way they haven't been doing something in terms of writing. Let's hope Axl can actually do the song justice.

These guys are from my local music scene. I'm good friends with one of the guitar players. The band isn't signed as far as I know.

I have a good amount of material on streaming services but this is the song I consider to be my best. It's deep house, hopefully you're not too picky on genre.

That said, I'm not sure any artist will ever be as big as Michael Jackson. He seems to be the one artists who's level of fame likely won't be duplicated in our life times. I think "newer" acts like Adele, Taylor Swift, and Bruno Mars do hold up well in terms of broad based appeal when compared to Mariah, Prince, Whitney, etc.
I agreed with your whole post but I wanted to single this part out as I really agree here. MJ was/is on a different level of fame. Everyone knows about Michael Jackson.

Hey everyone, I had @RussTCB on my show this past week. Since it's semi-relevant, I'll post it here if anyone wants to check it out as well.
