I would love a Kemper! No chance of one whilst Mrs SoundOfAGun is on maternity leave though.....

The binding on my les paul has a line about 2 mm below it around most of the body and the finish had started to sink in to the lines in th wood as it is an ebony finish. Looks fucking cool, but I bought mine way back when it cost £1100 for a standard; there is no chance I would pay asking for a Gibson in 2018 with their current build quality.

I had a chat with a guy at a music store in my city, they said if you stock Gibson, they decide what models you are going to have. The retailer gets no choice in what stick they receive. Not sure how true it is, but it always struck me as a shitty distribution method.

Where/when can I buy this?
I'll have it out on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify as soon as I can get some time in to mix it; this version is all amp sims and the vocals aren't levelled properly. I have taken those amp sim tracks and re-amped them through my Marshall, so the finished result should be pretty sharp. Having two kids and a job that has a continental remit is killing my creative time at the moment, but I will get there!

+1 for "yeah, it's been nada" can't believe they didn't put the extended ending from thr demo in the final track as well.
-
Do they have to be wireless? I use Audio Technica ATH-M50X's and they are very nice.
-
Never used one of these, but given that this video is from Sound On Sound, you would have thought that they would have used a de-esser on the massive sibilance the presenter voice recording has.

Been There Lately was one of the finest album openers ever, Kennedy raped that song.....

Richard will have more writing credits than Izzy ever did.
As a session player on whatever he was rented out to play on.
He is obviously a better guitarist than Izzy on a technical level, but he is NOT a rhythm guitarist. He is a lead player and his style does not fit with Slash as well as Izzy's.

Looks great! Happy for you. And jealous, lol!
And well said; rock music for an indifferent world
It is a cool room to create in, did some re-amping yesterday for a new track:

Izzy had a hand in the sound of GNR, and that will never go away. Richard is a technically good player who needs to calm down a bit with the fret wanking. He FUCKS up the start of the nightrain solo. Just play it properly and put your tits away.

Yeah, the amp can be dialed into this juicy Page/Slash mix that I love, and the clean rings perfectly. I like the Pentode/Triode switch, so it doesn't get too loud
Just downloaded your EP, going to give it a listen now!
Welcome to the Marshall family!

The lyrics are the let down on this song. The melodies are pretty good and the guitar solo is fit for purpose.
Lyrically, it doesn't really say much, like a lot of CD.

From my home town. Friends with all of them
The singer is very accurate. We saw them at the nags head in Nuneaton a couple of times, great night on both occasions!

Saw these guys (minus Steven Adler) a couple of times and they were good.

Nice, send me the separates if you'd like an alternative mix for a b-side.

Thanks a lot! We put a lot of work into it. Haha funny you should mention Royal Blood, can you tell I like them? They were the main inspiration for that solo. The other guitar player did the first main solo in Winter Blues and I did the second half. He also did the second half of Old Crow's main solo and the other little fills throughout that song. He has a pretty cool style and I think we do a good job complementing each other.
I appreciate all the feedback and am glad you enjoyed it! I still listen to your songs a lot so it means a lot
It definitely had a Royal Blood vibe to it, the guitar interplay was cool as well, nice and funky! Do you have the separates from your recording? I would like to have a go at a mix for you if you're up for it?

Great job @ZoSoRose! I have had a listen to all of them, I think Winter Blues edges it as my favourite (great solo in that BTW), your rhythm section is on point as well, they sound tight as fuck, especially on Need A Hand. And I love the use of the octaver on Old Crow, gives it a Royal Blood type favour, which sits nicely with the staccato beats in the song. As @Order of Nine said, there is an organic feel to the recordings that will make it stand out in a sea of drum samples and perfect production. Really impressed!

It is a tie between this and Shackler's Revenge for turd of the album on CD. there are others floating in that Chinese toilet bowl, but these are the biggest. The intro sounds like a shit sci-fi film, the verse lyrics are garbage (how the man that penned Coma, Locomotive, Don't Damn Me etc. etc. produced this I'll never know) and the chorus is just an elongated whine. The guitar solo does start off quite well, but falls over when the "robot solo" kicks in. They should have bumped this for Oh My God on the album.

Do you rate Lenny Kravitz as a musician?

Do enjoy his older stuff, he had some great tracks on Mama Said and Circus, not really heard much if his stuff since then.
