Aw, no flying piano?

2006 Axl was amazing! Vocals, looks, the hype build-up, it was easily his best year with NuGuns in my opinion. Don't know if better than the 90's but the closest we got to 90's Axl for sure. Plus, it was really the last year Axl Rose looked like Axl Rose in my opinion.

Sounds fine to me man, besides Slash missing a few notes.

Like it or not guys, Izzy quit the band in 1991 and gave up his share of it. You can't just quit something, not come back to it (minus guest appearances) for 25 years and then expect to get a full share back. Guns n' Roses is a partnership between Duff, Axl and Slash. There has also been Fortus in the band for nearly 15 years. GN'R or the management probably thought it would've been fun to offer Adler and Izzy guest spots if they were willing to take them, and Izzy was simply not willing to accept it. I'd love to see him up there with guys but I've accepted it long ago that Izzy would not be playing with this line-up.

Actually, they weren't on the same couch
Damnit, you got me guess we're going to have to wait another 25 years for the single couch interview.

That's awesome to hear some love for Chinese Democracy! I find it funny how he openly admits it may be weird to fans

This interview is going to be strictly for promotional purposes, we aren't going to hear anything too spectacular or unknown. I think it's just going to be about the upcoming South American Leg just to sell more tickets. Still, really badass to see Duff and Axl on the same couch officially being interviewed, this is the first time in what, 24(+) years?

I can't see GN'R doing this unfortunately, especially with the rumoured NITL DVD/Live CD on it's way. Plus it would make no logical sense to release anything from 2001-2014. The stuff from 87-93 has a greater chance of being released but not by much, yes we fans would love to hear them but we're the 1%.

In their heyday Guns N' Roses had a legendary appetite for destruction.
Is it just me or does every clickbait cheesy article on the internet about GN'R start with this cliche?

The surprise will be...they'll play The Seeker in the encore and Axl might sound a little bit raspy on You Could Be Mine

The only member I'd argue is a "touring member" is Melissa.
How anyone considers Dizzy a backing musician is beyond me. He's been an official member since 1990 and has played on every album since the UYI Albums.
Richard and Frank both had key parts in Chinese Democracy.

I was there last night, the band was on fire! Highlights for me were Yesterdays (was not expecting that) and Catcher, one of my favorite CD ballads. From their usual setlist Coma and Estranged ruled. Estranged gave me goosebumps. Slash's solo into Sweet Child was also amazing. The crowd seemed very dead during the CD songs, but I was jamming . Out Ta Get Me in my opinion sounded better than the original record, Axl was hitting high notes like no other. The ISE intro was badass with the fireworks. I went with people who weren't a fan of the band and they thought the drumming was great, so the Frank bashing has less merit in my eyes now. I was having such a fun time and it was really impressive, I usually hate KOHD and "The Zika" but I had fun with those also. This I Love sounded like the studio version. Overall, the band was amazing. 10/10.

As far as Guns n' Roses covers go, Axl's solo band did some pretty good ones in 2006 and 2009-2010.

Everything thing they did was good except for the vocals.
Axl had the opposite problem in 2010. Vocals were top notch, but then you had DJ Ashba. *shudder*
Too bad we couldn't combine Slash and Axl that year...

Don't care much for the song but it really suit's Axl's current voice and the band plays it really well.

I was expecting a full blown Axl rage after he said stop. Thank god it didn't come to that

Inspired by the "Openers other than It's So Easy" thread, what do you guys think a great show closer would be? I love Paradise City but not the way the current band plays it. The tempo is wrong, Axl sings over the solo and gets the whistle song, etc...what do you think? Keep Paradise City or should there be a different show closer? I would personally think either Locomotive or Breakdown would be a great stage closer but hey, that's not going to happen any time soon is it?

1.) There Was a Time
2.) Madagascar
3.) Prostitute
4.) Catcher In The Rye
5.) Better
6.) This I Love
7.) Chinese Democracy (Never understood the hate for this one)
8.) Street of Dreams
9.) I.R.S.
10.) Sorry
11.) Shackler's Revenge (Never was a fan of the guitar solo)
12.) If The World
13.) Scraped
14.) Riad n' The Bedouins
Absoloutely love Chinese Democracy. One of the most fascinating pieces of music history in my opinion, nothing exists like it. Definitely not Guns n' Roses except in name, but still a legendary, grand, genius album which only Axl could've thought of.

I think what'll they'll do is tour until mid 2017, release a Greatest Hits/Best of/Live DVD that winter. Then in 2018-2019 release a new album or EP, or hell even just a new single, almost strictly so they have an excuse to tour and continue the money flow. Of course they have fun performing but we can agree that a chunk of the incentive was the money. After the 2018-2019 album and tour I think there will be another farewell tour in 2020-2022 and that'll be the legacy of GN'R.
That's realistically what I see happening and what I also hope happens.

They can add an extra 15 minutes if they play Locomotive and Breakdown

Aw, no one mentioned Going Down?
It's definitely a little uncompleted but this song is freaking good in my opinion.
Other than that, there's lots of good hidden GN'R songs. Oh My God is pretty good, Crash Diet is awesome. There's silkworms (live only). There's stuff man but you gotta dig for it.

Any news on the LA opener yet?

The Velvet Revolver albums, in my opinion. And the song not on either, Messages is beautiful and features a great guitar solo.
Pitman suing Axl (suit now settled)

Isn't it weird we almost saw Slash and Pitman on the same stage together? I'm glad he got fired, he was a total tool and acted like he played an essential part in making GN'R what it was.
"I quit the cash-grab tour because they just wanted to play the old songs and I have integrity as an artist" inb4 touring Chinese Democracy with the band for 13 years...
