Was blasting monsters in the hallways to see if the childrens would dance to it and just realized how similar to some stuff in Ozzys No More Tears/Ozzmosis it is. Not literally of course, but I could see this song on those albums.

Alright after a couple more listens I can say I love it. Great song/songs. Im perfectly satisfied with the whole thing.

Ive listened to it twice, gotta listen a little more to it but… are we sure this is a re-recorded version by Slash and Duff?

Just listened to it... eh... its definetely a song.

The good thing with all those reactions for Perhaps is that it brings attention to the band, something they never got since their prime.
This could be a turning point form them looking more seriously into releasing stuff. We cant deny Perhaps is their most successful release in a long long time, and all those reactions are just part of that.- 3

If an Atlas single is coming out at some point in time Im currently more interested on the B-side, Atlas did nothing for me.
Unless it is completely revamped by the current band, which I dont think its going to happen.

Right now State of Grace.
Curious for The General but never got into the hype the track has as we never heard any single official snippet of it. It could be a total bummer lol

From what I can see regular people are really enjoying the song. Not sure if hardskool would’ve this much praise cause in the end, it just sounds like a washed up hard rock song. Perhaps on the other hand, has that Illusions feel that soccer moms and casuls love and that kind of became a trademark for GNR with NR and Estranged.
Im happy for Axl on this one, he surely needed a praise after 30 years of shit.

What if The General is just what it is now? A instrumental intro/outro? 😬

Just listened to the thing and still think its a good song. Feels a little unfinished tho, it could benefit from different verses and an outro but it is what is.
Still on my top 3 CD songs.

There goes my hope that they took it off the jukebox to do a decent cover artwork

Radio? Whats going on? lol
Im out of the interwebs for three hours and this happens, who even listens to radio these days lol

All these years later, and Slash & Duff are still going along to get along, just as they were in 1992. Where's the professional pride, fellas?
Forget about an album...I'd much rather a SINGLE, mediocre brand-new tune that the majority of your fanbase is indifferent about, as opposed to four or five twenty-five year old tunes that the majority of your fanbase is indifferent about.
At least there'd be some emotional investment from the guys there.
Sad
As much as I agree and my choice would obvious be a new Axl/Slash song, I cant help but say Perhaps is a fantastic song.
While on that, I do think it feels unfinished. It lacks versality, some powerful hooks, bridges and stuff like that. But the general idea of the song is fantastic and even feeling it could be better, I love the song. -

Except it does. First and foremost, Beta was an immigrant. I can't find any background info, but it's very common for people with degree here having to work with low-income jobs in the US. Nonetheless, she would never been seing as "housekeeper/nanny" for the eternity if she wasn't from Latin America. It would be a success case, for her to become a manager after having to restart her life after a divorce.
Hey man, Im also Brazillian and of course I can see some issues regarding Betas nationality, but I dont think its the real issue here. Beta and her sons have threated GNR fans like shit for 20 years now. Plus we have the whole weird situation the band is and there we are.
I dont think the “hate” would be any different have the managers been american or english and the situation was the same.

I revisited the 2019 thread about the Perhaps leak. It was hailed as if it was the second coming of Jesus, as were some of the other leaks. "One of the best GN'R songs ever", "one of the best songs ever". With that rave response, it's logical that GN'R might have thought that it was one of the tracks to be prioritized for release.
Maybe the response was the result of a collective delusion caused by the euphoria of hearing previously unheard songs after a long time, but it's interesting to observe the partial shift in regards to the song from then to now.
I still think Perhaps is one of the best songs of the leaks/CD era in general and thats why I came back to the forum actually.
State of Grace being my second fav.
Those two songs, in my opinion, are better than some stuff in AFD and UYI.
hardschool and absurd did nothing for me tho.

a mini doc would have been so cool! i think youtube had a 10 minute limit back then. it would have been fun seeing chunks of 10-minute chinese democracy mini docs.
Yeah, I believe Metallica did it for Death Magnetic and it build a huge hype and exposure to the album, got fans excited for the release and gathered new fans. But with GNR it is what it is.

been listening to these songs the whole morning and cant really understand why havent they hired a professional engineer to handle the mix and mastering. The songs are amazing but they end up being really painful to listen to, theres no clarity in anything at all… Its like someone is trying and failing hard to be Phil Spector.
