The lithos are 18x24 and I've taken a poster tube to the last few shows with no problem.

    Powderfinger,

They did not have a tube available in Montreal.  In fact, it was a struggle just to get an elastic.  I did bring  a garbage bag to store them in, but the Official Merch tent outside of Security was open by 1pm when I arrived.  I uber'd back to hotel room (after a 30 mins walk backtracking) to drop of lithos.  It was well worth the sacrifice of time, sweat, fare and some position in the pit, to double back.  I can not see how you can keep them protected unless you have a poster tube to store them in.  And I doubt most venues would allow you to bring a poster tube through security.   I will measure the litho size tonight, but  believe they are 18x24 inches and sturdy paper/stock.

    Thank you kind people!

Yeah Zeppelin were in there with Cream, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath... all rock n' roll bands lol.  You don't need to be punk in order to be rock n' roll, that is why punk is not called rock n' roll

I never thought anyone in the entire world would dispute Zeppelin being called a rock n' roll band lol

Look. It all boils down to Beatles or Stones and Zeppelin and those other bands fall in with the Beatles, Gnr and the pistols and stooges are in the stones camp. Rock n Roll is not the same as heavy blues a la Zeppelin.

Zeppelin is probably the definition of a rock n' roll band lol.  Zeppelin I and II are dirty and raw as hell

No... No they are not... Babe I'm gonna leave you and Mr Brownstone are not in the same style. One is blues rock and the other is a bluesy/punky hybrid. Common area blues. But Zeppelin (don't even mention communication breakdown) were never punk. GNR covered the stooges, the damned, the pistols, the dead boys, the misfits. Bands that would beat up the synth player and drink his money. Bands that Zeppelin had nothing in common with. Zeppelin were in there with Cream, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath....

Oh, really. Have you ever listened to In Through the Out Door from Led Zeppelin?

Yes. But Zeppelin weren't a Rock n Roll band. There's a difference. Rock n Roll bands are drums bass, guitars and vox. Dirty and raw. Zeppelin were great at times and a song like in the evening is amazing, but it's not the same musically as a band with punk credentials and influences. I see a line from the stooges and the mc5 to the sex pistols to Guns. I see Zeppelin as part of another and equally as good lineage.

Guns N Roses is Guns N Roses with Izzy or Not...

if you don't believe in that fact you aren't a GNR fan!

Enjoyed the band!! And be happy!!

Head, slowly, extract from arse, take some deep breaths and reassess your statement. Guns N Roses is NOT GNR without Izzy. It's a great imitation but not GNR. Where were you between 87-91?

  6. I think they need to find a way of sticking together once this tour winds down.

Who the hell is gonna want to see that crap version of guns that were limp dicking around prior to the reunion!! People have seen 2/3s of the real deal and it pisses all over what's been "GNR" for the last few years.

I liked Tommy, Ron and Fortus but that was not GNR... That mess could not sell out the venues the lineup now is playing.

Axl has credibility with Duff n Slash about, on his own he's like a fucking cult leader who ate all the pies. How he thought that tache was a good idea I will never know!!!

They are in a loose loose situation with new tunes, if they don't people will bitch, if they do people will bitch it's not as good as the classic stuff. I hope that the band does what they want, if they are excited about playing with each other again and want to write some tunes that would be great. Anyone who plays guitar knows you come up with something new each time you pick it up, these guys (with Izzy) wrote most of the illusions albums sitting round on couches playing acoustic guitars. It is that easy but also its that hard as they need to be on the fucking couches for it to work!!

I want them to piss all over every other band out there and replace the stones as the torch bearers, I don't think it will happen due to Axl but he owes me fuck all , it's his trip. It's their (his) band.

Yes, he can do it for a short while, but then he needs to rest his voice or he risks to stress his vocal chords too much. Many people arent aware what a dangerous technique rasp is and I think Axl still doesncC do it exactly right.

I can confirm that Axl doesnct sound much Mickey live, his voice is really strong. Did you see any of the shows livekK

Sry for the typos, you can keep them, writing on a phone sucks. :P

Look man, I don't mean to be a dick, but your post is cock. Axl sang way better with AC DC than he is with Guns, likely because the songs are fresh. He's been singing the same songs all the while Slash and Duff were doing something different...

He sounds ok live, sometimes he nails parts of songs but the rest is Mickey. It's laughable that people are buying this YouTube sounds crap bollocks. Lots of fucking bands sound great on YouTube, Including Guns N Roses!! What you hear on YouTube is what you hear live. People think it sounds better there because they are bawling along with him!

I've been to 2 shows with 2 coming in September. It's hit and miss. Izzy is the only one with Integrity, and they are his fucking songs! I would love to see him get a solo spot in the show each night, 14 years, dust n bones, you ain't the first. Maybe Axl would have more rasp if he got more breaks, or gave a fuck even.

I think considering the terrorist attacks in London during the last couple of weeks, the band could be threatened. Even Fortus talked about it. You know, it's not like Europe is a safe place nowadays... the threat is really high.

A terrorist attack can happen at anytime. GN'R is a big American stadium band... it's an easy target.

Honestly, If I were in the band I would be fucking stressed too and gloomy in Europe.

Europe is in a REALLY bad place now. There are Islamists everywhere. It's an invasion.

    Where are you living?

Can anyone tell me thoroughly what the quality of official T shirts is like?

I am thinking of buying few, but if the color washes off after some time.. I wouldn't bother.. and the fabric itself?

    Thanks..

I've bought shirts at the gigs and off the site and mine we're excellent quality. Really good quality. My buddy back home got me 2 Slane shirts and in the photos they look the same quality and the same GNR label on them...

Absolutely incredible gig. Something I never thought I would see. Slash brings out the best in Axl and vice versa. Highlights for me were Coma, Estranged, Jungle, LALD and Sweet Child.

So many casuals in the crowd though who just knew the big hits. Chinese Democracy stuff went down like a fart in an elevator. Had a bunch of posing asswipes in front of me who during fucking Estranged decided they wanted to take selfies and group photos. Estranged is being played for fucks sake! People constantly moving back and forth probably to get other beers. And Slane was an absolute nightmare to get home from.

I would never do Slane for any band again other than GNR. That says something about how good GNR were and how badly Slane is organised.

Oh and in terms of support acts, Mark Lanegan is the worst I have ever seen. Miserable bastard who looked like he'd rather be sunning it up in California than on stage opening for GNR.

Lanegan is a notoriously miserable bastard. Has been most of his career, probably something to do with the fact he lives in rainy Seattle rather than sunny California. He's not built for the outdoor daylight Gigs. I've seen him a few times and he was excellent. Miserable but excellent...

    makes sense

yeah, they were the best ever 1986-91

They kinda got shit around the time Izzy left.... Strange that isn't it!!

Bit like The Stones and Mick Taylor.....

I don't believe at this point much as I love the band up to 91 that Slash / Duff / Axl have any integrity. They are happy to imitate what they were and do a Muzak lounge version of the band now.

What planet is Axl living on where that redneck tache was a good idea... their next video should be him getting off a bus BACK in Indiana with some hay in his mouth and that tache back again.. Cue duelling banjos...

oh there are certainly waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more gold from the pot where this came from

its probably in the band's hands and there is very little chance any of us will ever see or listen to any of it

apparently axl rose has no idea that GNR was the best band ever 1986-1991 and there are zillions of people willing to pay to see/listen to recordings of GNR

only someone that has no idea that GNR was the best band ever 1986-1991 would keep these recordings on the vault

only someone that has no idea that GNR was the best band ever 1986-1991 would release a turd album like live era with horrible rerecorded vocals and 90% of the performances taken from the horrible tracy and roberta era

you really have to be clueless about GNR to do that

Maybe if they release some of that stuff now people will realize how shit the band has been since 93....... All that stuff will be released, once they're done playing live and can sit at home keeping the bank account plump releasing a bunch of these shows...

  13. I'm not defending anyone here but I traded a lot in the early 90s and it was all by post and sight unseen. You posted blanks sometimes and got the copied tape sent back. It sounds like caveman shit now but shows were a commodity. IF this guy trades for something he feels is of similar rarity we will have both shows available at some point.

Surfacing shows back in the day took fucking forever.. You couldn't fire off an email like! It was Write a FN letter, post the thing wait weeks for the FN answer to come back and it's a I don't know or the dude that had it has moved and I don't know where... Caveman shit.... At least if you move your email stays the same now!

Having said all that... Dude leak the fucking thing, the band is on fire, those clips were like crack.  Moremoremoremore.
