I've been feeling super depressed all week since the SMKC show
Yes, I know the feeling!! And I also know how to heal it The answer is - and I'm sorry your bank acount won't agree - more concerts. Last year after the GNR show I went to see Aerosmith and this year Steven Tyler with his solo project and Nuno Bettencourt. So choose a band you like, don't think about the money and just go... It will feel better

awww, I wasn't even born when the Illusions came out, so I'm loving reading all these stories The 90's seem like a fun time!! Wish I could like all of your posts!!
Is there anybody here from Europe who has a story like this and wants to share it? I mean, were there lines to buy the albums here too? I only recall seeing reports from american tv on Youtube with those huge lines at the record stores...so how was it in Europe?

My 12 year old brother always sings 'Slash' instead of 'Flash' while listening to the Queen song. No wonder why

Nobody could get an answer from him through his door, so Niven told Izzy to climb a tree outside Axls bedroom window, which he did - Niven says Izzy was hanging there in the tree trying to talk to him through the window - but Axl told him to fuck off!
I don't think I've ever heard of this story That's so funny!! I miss that band!

Oh I know, I know...AXL??

LOL. TB only cares for the AFD band members (well, part of them). Only fans are supposed to like all of the weird band formations.
Well, maybe all of them. Wasn't Nandinho publicly looking for tickets for a Steven show some time ago? Why? I don't know either! And to be honest: knowing of what happened in the past, all this hypocrisy makes me sick to my stomach

To add to your story: Vicky Hamilton was there too. It's like this déjà vu could really have happened again. Anyway, hope Axl have found his contact lenses this time- 5

This is weird...Do you think Axl stayed home alone eating Tacos or he followed his entourage to go see Slash with Myles?

Not saying he looked terrible as in a bad hair day or whatever.
I'll have to say it: he definitely had a bad hair day on the Elton John induction in the RNRHOF though. But it's ok, Prince Axl, we all have them

I thought the contest was to celebrate AFD. But maybe I got it wrong and they've decided to celebrate the amazing album the NITL line-up just released

Fucking hate that I detest animal cruelty
YES! I maddens me so much that I live in a country where it is considered a cultural product. Hell, it's even on TV on some summer evenings. Most of old people just love it, they consider it art and a huge part of portuguese culture and tradition (these are the arguments they use )...Fuckin psychosA few months ago the portuguese parliament rejected a proposal that wanted to abolish this shit forever, I still can't fuckin believe it. I'm always signing all kind of petitions to get it again to the parliament or at least to take it way from the public TV. Hopefully mentalities are changing and this cruelty will be over forever in a few years!!

All these interviews and always the same kind of answer about new music. I think it's obvious that Slash really wants to do it, but the thing is: Slash was never what prevented GNR to release new music. The ginger was/is. All of you who get your hopes up with these answers are fooling yourselves IMO. It has to be Axl wanting to do it and there's seriously no indication he does. And with Slash saying 'I think Axl would like to do it', it seems they never even discussed it

Is it really 10 years old? That type of architecture looks like old style, don't know.... Very pretty, nonetheless ...
I know!! But it's from classic and arabic inspiration actually
It actually has more than 100 years, but it was hugely rebuilt like 10 years ago and they kept the façade. It has always been a bullring (don't get me started on why we still have this stupid shit going on in Portugal, cause I will be very, very mad ), but with the works of 10 years ago they also made it available as a concert venue and there's more concerts happening there than bullfights. With the rebuilt new accesses were added and new facilities also - it has a shopping and a cinema and all- 1

I already wondered about the venues and security. If it is only 35 Euro? For real? Wouldn’t that be venues with fans really close to the stage? If I was Slash I’d be scared about the crazies....
What? You're not thinking about going to see god?
It's 35€ in Portugal cause we're poor and usually here the concert tickets are cheaper Happens with all bands - happened with GNR. Still, I was expecting the tickets would be 10€ or 15€ more expensive than they are. Slash is pretty recognizable here.About the venue, it's indeed a small venue, but it's safe. It's a recent venue, it has about 10 years and the accesses are great- there's a lot of shows happening there. Plus, iit's a beautiful venue, everyone loves to play there. I've always wanted to attend a show there and I'm glad it will be Slash's

Good morning! Just passing by to share with you some instagram pics I think they belong to this thread
1 - Curly daddy with his son London - shared by Perlita on London's birthday. Can we appreciate the cuteness?
2 - I've never seen this before, but I find it kinda creepy Any of you know the background of this pic?
3 - Axl wasn't a fan of this interaction

What the fuck is this?
Slash Has Reporter Sign Bizarre Contract For Interview
“There are people who are worried about our conversation. Before I can speak to Slash I have to sign a contract that says that if anything goes wrong – if some kind of shit hits the fan because of what I write – and GN’R lose money, then Classic Rock carries the can. This is no small thing when you’re dealing with the fourth biggest earning tour of all time.
There is paranoia around. The Not In This Lifetime tour took a lifetime to put together, and no one wants to be the one to fuck it up. You might not have noticed, but Guns N’ Roses haven’t really talked to anyone since they re-formed. They haven’t done an interview.”
Is this even real? This fuckin band...This kind of shit has Axl and TB written all over it. Look at this level of paranoia - it's just a band, not national security

Me neither.
This band just got boring, Izzy is being Izzy (=invisible) and nobody here wants to discuss winged eyeliner for hooded eyes with me. What else could there possibly be left to talk about?
The amount of eyeliner Axl uses sometimes? His orange foundation? Maybe we could search the right foundation for his skin tone. Could be fun

Lol! As if the problem with GNR new music would ever be Slash We all know the world would be drooling over his riffs and solos....The same can't be said about Frank's drumming, Melissa's synths or even Axl's voice

Also, can we go deeper in these interviews and overanalyze the fact that Slash choose to say that he 'hooked up' with Axl in both the Rolling Stone and Forbes interviews?
I'm not a native speaker and, as one of those things people call millennials, the only meaning I knew for this verb was to have sex with someone So is this Slash confirming the Slaxl in a passive-aggressive way?

I get it, I'm poor too, but we all just should live a little... If not, what's the thrill of living?
I'm talking out of my ass, this meme actually sums it up pretty well
But, oh well, at the end of the day concerts are always worth it
