Ha! Loved that part- the person who played Izzy who was in the tree trying to get Axl looked a lot like him!

But yeah when Alan said that part about Axl pissing away his prime....I was like woah! I LOVED that Gilby was on it and Marc Canter too. Will always love that Gilby!

I thought it was a fun and entertaining watch but I found it annoying that every 5 minutes, it was like 8 years till the break-up, 7 years, 6 years. Yeah we get!

HEY. Didn't know about this at all. What's the matter with me??? :max: Where can I see it, lady? I need to see fake Izzy (is it Lortus?) on that tree. @Tori72 wants to see it as well, I know it

Too much of booze  ...When I was in Friend's home in Crete they didn't wanna even hear about going around Mallia....I never been in Santorini or Rhodes, but my village is in Pelloponese near Kalamata...Great seas...

Ah....yeah,I curse my life every June till September and I wish I was living in Finland or something..

We forgot about the melomakarona, but unfortunately it only exists in Christmas...

Souvlaki is  an unhealthy piece of junk food  but I'm sure that Axl In LA has All that kind of burgers and tacos and whatever to grow his belly ...If he was here? Hahaha....

(we don't have taco bell here I don't know how it tastes)We have the Local "Goodys"Burgerhouse,Pizzerias and the Kfc but not a hint about Tacos..Lately they brought the Asian Bao Buns in street food shops,One is in Gazi..

I just remembered that I've lost the great concert he gave here in Rockwave festival cause I was in a university exams period..His voice was a real killer that night. From what I see in Utube

    Oh well..

Yeah, we definitely partied a lot in Crete. Boat parties, beach parties, room parties, not so much clubs, but you name it...But we also got to know a lot of places. We stayed in Heraklion, but went to Matala, Knossos, Chania, and more...Maybe Mallia, I don't remember :rofl-lol:

I almost, almost went to Kalamata. Had bus tickets but had to cancel last minute. I end up doing a road trip with my friends in Pelloponese, it was so beautiful, all that sea and landscapes and views

Right, enough, I really need to come back!!

LOL at the describing of Axl's daily tasks  Probably pretty accurate!! Nothin to add, hope he is not ready to "give birth" when we see him again  With all of my love just a lil sarcasm, for his health, nothing else :shades:

No. Slash's been away touring and all, so I think we're safe :P

So you had a great time here!! Glad to hear this  Next time you may visit i suggest whatever island, i can't peak which one, Sea has a power itself beyond words can describe... Thanx for your kind words :)

Best time of my life. Lived in Athens but visited a lot of your country. Island speaking I went to Santorini, Crete and Hydra - have to come back to go to Zakynthos though, missed that one - I had the good fortune to sail the Aegean sea as they say in the movie ;) Still what I loved the most was the Peloponnese region. So freaking beautiful. All of the cities, villages, archaeological sites...It's been 4 years and I still dream about Nafplio everyday

Yeah fkn spanakotyropita!! With cheese! is unbeatable and also pie with prasso or maratho(some kind of herdbs, used in cooking.... Sorry but how can i call this souvlaki  thing?  You know a funny fact? People from Athens like me call it pita with gyro, while people from Thessaloniki call it sandwich... The other without the wrap we call it kalamaki and Thessalonikies call it souvlaki! We call the sauce sauce or our tradiotional tzatziki while Thessalonikies call it all "aloifi" means sth like cream but "aloifi" in medical is sth like voltaren etc..

Ohhhh spanakopita is the best, I went to Lidl in Kallithea to buy it and I swear I could have it at anytime of the day!! I was living in Faliro, so real close to the beach, and it was my beach snack :P But this one from my friend, homemade and all, is the best ever. Had an amazing Spanakopita in Meteora too. Souvlaki gyros kotopulo with just a little bit of tzatziki was my usual order at a restaurant near Monastiraki square, I went there almost every weekend and then eat it on Pnyx. Amazing!! I miss it so much!! That and loukoumades and pastisio, of course, love it! I gained 7kg while in Greece, no wonder why - don't go to Greece, Axl :lol: Didn't know that about Thessaloniki and Athens, interesting.

Our temparature here in Portugal...well, it's weird. May was hot as hell but now it's pretty chill. Global warming, it's real, Trump, ok? But Athens in summer, omg. Some weeks of June and July it was impossible. I wanted to die hahahaha

I think he does certain things like fitness during the day maybe

I think he just sleeps all day -  waking up in the miday sun and stuff like that. That's what I would do if I had his kind of money. Breakfast in bed, a small lunch at 3pm, read some shit during the afternoon and then invite all my friends and freak-show  for a sunset/night of big dinner and fun at the pool. I bet they swim naked and all - for the fun  :rofl-lol: :rofl-lol: Anyway, let's see how's his fitness when he reappears. With Beta cooking marmalade, well...  :scared:

    --------

@Lillie omg you talking about Greece.  Αχχχ drinks in Gazi...good times

You have one of the most lovely and kind people in the world. For 6 months it felt like home for real. Sure there's some misogyny (I felt this one) and racism ( and see this one) -  every country of South Europe has those issues, it's in our culture and history, but we can change it. Don't think so low of yourselves, you are amazing as a people. Still have some Greek friends. One of them is here in Portugal now to visit and work for a month. She had her flight at 6am leaving Athens and spent the night cooking spanakopita to bring for us. I mean who does this unless it's a Greek?

And I swear, if you say again that you're gonna eat souvlaki with that naturality, I'm gonna fight you. I need a souvllaki. τώρα :anger:

  4. Oh right...you know Sergio Ramos, right? Real Madrid football player? Very well known on football world? So, he's getting married tomorrow to a spanish TV presenter who loves rock and GNR and AC/DC and has a crush on Axl. Anyway there's a HUGE rumour that AC/DC are playing the wedding, which - surprise - doesn't allow cellphones. What AC/DC? Axl/DC? Duff-bass-player/DC? Regular AC/DC? An AC/DC cover band? A recording of an AC/DC best off? I'm confused

Here's the wedding couple, after de Seville Axl/DC 2016 show, with that one that is MIA since...I don't even know. When did we actually see Axl lately, really?  :shrugs:

  5. Hi! Long time no see :P

Anyway, this Duff...I felt like saying something as well, keeping the shade going and all  I hate this Duff, like a huge feeling of dislike for him -  and god knows how much I love this giraffe for real. But wtf. I was ok with Duff the peace-maker, Duff the yoga instructor, Duff the King of kale smoothies McKagan, but this Duff is a no-no. Bring Izzy Duff back :max:

Yep, no feelings for buildings from me...

    #prayforNotreDame

wow, just wow! That's why you have no feelings: it's just a building for you, 'pile of sticks and stones'.

Well, let me break it for you, it isn't just a building. It's something irreplaceable, it's a part of our collective history, it's an immaterial patrimony that has been collecting pieces of the history of mankind for 800 years. It was there before we all were born and it should be there after we are all gone. You know, most of the problems we're facing today are because we tend to not know history, not value it, not learn with it. I feel sorry for you if you can't get your head around that.

Not sure why they don't have planes or helicopters with water going over the top of the Church? Maybe it's too hot and windy?

Because it's a monument from the XII century, made with XII century material. If they used planes and helicopters the building would completely collapse.

  8. Hiiiii! So, how's the national holiday of this thread going so far?

    Soooo...the drummers have spoken, ba-dum-tss :headbang: :P

    What about the others?

There will be a two-faced 'HB Iz' from Ned Flanders? What about god? He never misses a birthday (he missed Frank's though, but that's kinda understandable), so what's happening with him? Is he trying to piss me off??? :max::P

    Stay tuned!

  9. I'm really happy with the Kurt Cobain celebration going on in here. It's amazing how music stays forever. And that was a great vid @killuridols, they do have great live performances!!

The 92' VMA's is one of the best-known, but I think it really captures Nirvana as a band, the message they were passing with their music and lately Kurt's persona. When I compare both GNR and Nirvana's performances on the same show, I can't help thinking how Guns performance looks so forced and polished, it makes you think what the hell happened to that band, it's  a totally different aura from GNR at Ritz for example. While Nirvana sounds fresh, dangerous, authentic.

I could speak about the 'Rape Me' tease, the 'HI-AXL' or the Novoselic bass incident but just think about when some people from the crowd starts jumping on stage and do crowd surfing while the band doesn't give a fuck. Can you imagine if this was at a GNR performance? Axl would loose his shit

I’m midly freaking out so I had to come here and double check. So Getty Images took Stradlins lovely pic from their plattform. You know which one. He in hat, shirt down his shoulders and, you know, hands down there.

So, was this Izzy who made them do that? I know pics get taken off the net, but usually not from Getty Image sites, right? If it was him, it’s my fault and the fact we discussed his lovely circumcizzy here. I’m sorry Izzy :( - but not sorry :shrugs:. Why do you care about that shit anyway? It’s been sitting in this world, printed or online for over 30 years. It’s not very rock n roll of you, darlin’! :P

Well anyway, discuss? What do you think. Why is it gone?

If it was him he hates me and that makes me sad. :(

I'm not even sorry, Stradlin! Take the photo all you want, I've seen the circumcizzy Izzyconda and that's all that matters :max: It's not like I can't unseen it now, it's gonna be stuck in my head forever

Can we also talk Slaxl?? Slaxl freak here:headbang:

Not sure. There aren't written records about a Slaxl orgasm in any form. About the jizzy, yes, we do have written records. Still can't believe that Slash decided to share that particular detail with us. But, oh well, you'll never see me complaining about that :P

Well, try work it out now, asshole! There's still time!! :max: (I'm sorry Slash, I still love you baby :lol:)

An off-topic but about the interview. He's absolutely right in what he says about SCOM. Even if you're tired of it - and this goes for both the band and the fans - the reaction it triggers from the crowd is something amazing to watch, everyone goes cray-cray at its first chords. It's impossible the band doesn't get off on that :headbang:

  15. I really like Susan, she's lovely and really nice with the fans  But the way she behaves and dresses, well, she's very, very Hollywood. I don't think it's a bad thing, it's just strange to us mere mortals  I don't think @beautifulanddamned meant to be harsh, it's just commenting all these Hollywood people, they kinda look like characters :shrugs:

Can’t decide if I like the song or not. What do you girls think of the lyrics?

It's not that I don't like it, but it's weird. I wouldn't expect something like this from Duff. It kinda reminds me something from Robbie Williams (sorry Ned :P ). The lyrics, well, I can picture him singing this to Slash and Axl when they were burying the hatchet
