I wonder.
I just saw Pearl Jam on Friday night. Ticket listed at 8PM, and they came on about 8:40PM. No opener.
My Philly ticket says 8:30. Could that mean they come on like 9:15-9:30, with no opener?
Was that the Philly show where they played 10 in its entirety ?Such a great band live ,every show is completely different and they play for 3 plus hours

I actually think they're selling pretty well overall. They are playing 22 cities .Vegas sold out 2 arena shows.Very few bands can pull off stadiums in the US.4 of their shows sold so well that they added another night(sellouts)Toronto is sold out and it looks SF and San Diego is close to sellouts. That's a third of the cities that they are playing that sold out or will sellout. From what I've seen on the boards it sounds like most city's are doing fairly well with exception of Seattle and New Orleans.A 2/3rd full stadium still amounts to close to 40 thousand people which would be 3 sold out nights at the Staples Center in LA
-
Pretty impressive that they are doing multiple nights in stadiums at multiple locations.Demand is much higher then I anticipated it would be

Looks good, sounds great .Hopefully he appears on the summer tour at some point .
-
That's pretty impreessive.Looking forward to the show.A full house always makes for a better experience.

Got tickets on citi presale.Curious how the general on sale went yesterday? Was thinking LA would be one of the markets that would sell exceptionally well

I'd have to say a little of both as well.Hopefully they continue with this group.I'd be excited about new music more then these shows but I'm excited enough to see them a couple times in a 5 month span whereas before I never had a desire to see them live with the previous lineup

I didn't find it offensive at all.Thought it was a legitimate question.I'm new to board.Lurked for years and I guess in hopes that would hear some rumors of a reunion of some sorts .When it happened I joined. As far as CD is concerned a lot of casual fans,I would classify my girlfriend who went with me to show as one thought she was hearing a new song when they played a song of CD that night

Are we really having a "Do you like Chinese Democracy" discussion? Where have you people been? Were all you reunion people unwilling to buy or listen to it because Slash wasn't in the band? I'm really confused.
I guess you could call me one of those reunion people.I grew up with GnR.I actually bought the CD the day it came out ,maybe I didn't give it a fair shake.Gave it a couple listens and just sounded nothing like the band I grew up listening to.I was excited to see then live for the first time in over 20 years in Vegas so I dusted off the CD and played it quite a bit leading up to the show .While I personally still like what the other original members did since they disbanded (especially Velvet Revolver )CD has grown on me some but just has so much going on that's is just OK to my ears.Obviously it's all subjective and to each it's own.I noticed quite a few people near me rocking out to the CD stuff at show in Vegas so those that enjoy it on board don't seem to be alone

I remember buying the cd the day it came out .Giving it a couple listens and saying this is not Guns n Roses and putting it away. When the regrouping was announced I started to listen to it again.Like many others I consider this more of an Axl solo album and it has grown on me some and has some moments but think it could've so much better if it didn't sound so overproduced.

10 years? No way. I'd say this tour and perhaps, if we're lucky, some Europe dates next year. Then it's over.
I sure hope not but I wouldn't be suprised if this is what happens.Happy that we fans have the opportunity to see them live together belting out some classics but without any new material this whole regrouping would be somewhat disappointing

Pleasantly surprised that tour is seeking as well as it is

Last weekend I went to a sellout a Dodgers game against SF. I've been many times. No way I'm touching this one. The place is a complete fiasco.
Yeah its horrible if u stay for all 9 getting out of that place.Getting in isn't great either .Looks like I'll have a huge group to go with so well do a party bus make it that much funner without anyone having to worry about driving

No way would they tour with this outfit until 2020 with no new album.
I hope they do a 2017 album and an arena tour.
Yeah I think without new music the whole novelty would wear off within a couple years
-
Suprise album or not I am hoping for a new album from them.If not the whole regrouping sort of loses a lot of its luster.Feel like they wasted so much time apart that they need to make most of this time together.
-
Because I personally thought I would never see Slash and Axl ever share the same stage I think it's great so far.The broken foot does put a bit of damper on it though. For me personally it's what they do with this going forward though.I really want new music more then anything .Seeing them live together for the first time in 20 plus years was great and all but I want to hear if they can recreate sone of that magic from their first 4 albums.

The second Vegas show which I was at I thought he sounded good to great for most of show with the exception of ycbm and pc.Some of the vid's that I've watched from other shows are more of a mixed bag.Like most I wonder what will happen once he gets up on his feet again.

I personally like the Velvet Revolver albums, think it would be cool if a song or 2 played were from those 2 albums.I hope their is new music on the horizon.Would make regrouping somewhat disappointing to me without it.So many years wasted ,hopefully they take advantage of time together now to get creative
-
For them to be on time ,sound as good or better as they did in Vegas .A lively crowd ,Axl on his feet maybe drop a cover or 2 and substitute with some of their own songs

You know what I want? And GNR I hope you're listening.
2 albums released together, Like UYI. 12 songs on each. One titled Alpha, with the best of leftover CD songs and ones originally worked on by the band before Slash quit. The second album titled Omega, with all new material recorded later this year. Released in 2017 as their final album(s) and select cities around the world to be toured in 2018 as a farewell.
There's no better ending than that. Let's make it happen!
That would a perfect scenario.Would love, much like most fans to have Izzy back in fold for new music for he was so integral to their sound and songwriting and that made then so special

This is about the exact same thing I just told a friend who has questioned me for dropping so much coin on going to see GnR in Vegas and this summer. My bills are paid, I take care of everything I need to for my son...what I do with my disposable income is my fucking business. Life is too damn short.
Devestating news today, RIP Prince
So true.A couple buddy's of mine tried to give me shit for dropping a little over 500 for a pair of tickets for Vegas. I'm still here with my girl ,one of favorite bands growing up about to take stage for first time in 23 years with more then 1 og member, bargain.Money is just paper, last part of pants don't need no pockets.Prince's music wasn't my thing but he was a lot of people's .rip

This....honestly this is my biggest complaint of anything. Axl needs to STFU, after the chorus during the intro shut it the fuck down you are literally ruining the fucking song.
Agree 100 percent.PC is a classic song, leave it alone.I didn't care for it live in Vegas either.Overall thought band sounded great though
