Gave disc 1 a few listens yesterday .Like what I'm hearing so far.How awesome that a band that's been around for as long as they have with an extensive discography still care about putting out new music in this era. Can't wait till they come to town they always kill it live
-
I think they'll tour for at least another year maybe even hitting the States again for a run of arena shows .After that we'll get new material from the boys on the 30th of Never

I actually prefer Load over the black album
Me as well. And their new album from the 3 songs I've heard actually sounds pretty kick ass.

Gave it a handful of listens, shelved it for now .Not feeling it .More of a casual fan then anything so maybe that's why

I think he's pretty much spot on.Guns has put out 1 studio album since they toured together .Metallica has put out 5.Hard to argue with the facts

They sounded ok in Vegas ,killer at Dodger Stadium to my ears

Ozzy kicks ass.Fronted the og heavy metal band .His discography is amazing between Sabbath and his solo stuff.Paranoid and Blizzard of Ozz 2 of my favorite albums all time .Guy still brings it live seen him twice in the last 3 years with Sabbath and they were both kick ass shows .He's an icon

I was at 2 of the 4 LA Forum shows .While the band was on fire ,the crowd was not at all at either of those 2 shows .The first night the band came on stage at nearly midnight at the crowd grew rest less, tired and bored .By the time they hit the stage the energy was gone and it made for a mostly lame crowd .The 2nd night I went was night 4 and maybe because word got out ,I actually skipped Skid Row and didn't head in until close to 11 it seemed like it was a little better but not by much.

Got the new album in the mail today.Gave it a few listens already.Sounds good to my ears ,sure it'll grow on me even more with more listens .Hoping thet do a full arena tour here in the U.S.Unfortunately won't be able to make Palladium show when they're in town.Seen them live a couple times and they're a good live act

STP Core,Live Throwing Copper ,U2 Acting Baby,Pearl Jam 10 I will say we're albums I likes as my personal favorites of albums of the 90's.I liked the UYI albums a lot.Probably put them in right below those 4 and they were great follow ups to AFD but I liked the other 4 better

For those of you who live in South America the band will be headlining 3 Lollapollaza shows next spring

Seen them quite a few times .Staples Center is not my favorite place to see a show, seen them both nights last time they played there. There crowds are pretty much like very other crowd at a us show with the exception of a few bands that still can whip a crowd into a frenzy .(Maiden and Sabbath are 2 bands that I've seen within last 8 months where the crowds were electric )If you have never seen them live I would recommend seeing them at least once they play with a lot of energy and they play a pretty varied set list .Fun band for sure

There's no creative future for this band. They are just going to milk this tour as long as they can and that's it.
Unfortunately I'm with you.I think that after a couple of years of shows they will call it a day .Killer shows though and glad we as fans at least got to see them share the stage again. But I don't foresee them taking it any further in terms of new music. In 25 years we've gotten 1 album of new material from Axl ,not holding my breath that's it going to change

The band just announced a North American tour in support of album.Tickets go on sale Friday .Hitting Los Angeles on March 7th at Staples can't stand that venue for concerts and have seen them 7 times over the years so I'll probably pass
-
For those of you going to Rams season opener vs Seahawks (I'll be there)sounds like we will get a chance to see RHCP perform a pregame show.Assuming it'll be 2 or 3 songs as they suggest being in stadium a half hour before kickoff to catch them.

Would've loved to have Izzy on board, like most others here.Bummer to hear that they couldn't make it work.More then anything it would've been going forward in hopes of new music to see if they could recapture some of their old magic.Together they put together one of the greatest rock and roll records of all time .Would've been great to see what they could come up with now.Oh well ,the shows I attended were fun but not feeling too optimistic well ever get new music from the boys

Great read. Thanks for sharing, summarizing a great start to something that hopefully last for years to come
-
I think its gone as good as we could've hoped for.The Vegas show was good,Dodger Stadium was epic. They sounded great and rocked a full house. They're on time .Just hoping they continue with this lineup and produce some new music and maybe another tour in 2 to 3 years

Used to smoke it way too much for way too long.Pretty much stopped completely once my first son was born 15 years ago.Smoke it occasionally maybe 5 times a year. The other night at the Guns concert just a few hits off a j but the wake and bake days are long gone .I was a stoner for 15 years,I believe you miss out on so much off what life has to offer if u abuse it like I did .

Kind of feels like a Megadeth B side or throwaway that Metallica is covering.
That being said, I'll take it. See what the album has to offer.
Feel the same.I'll buy the album first day it comes out. After Load I haven't really cared for much of their music with exception of a song or 2 off each album.St Anger was awful and DM wasn't much better but holding out hope that the album will have good tunes.Hoping they do a big arena tour.Missed them last time they were in town. They used to be my favorite live band ,it's been way too long since I last seen them

Thought ycbm pc and scom were trouble spots in Vegas for Axl.Not last night they all sounded great.Nighttrain was off the charts.
-
Went with a group of 8 people last night. With the exception of myself who seen them a handful of times in their afd and uyi years plus in Vegas recently this was everyone else's first time .They were all blown away .It was a great night,I personally thought they sounded much better last night then Vegas and for those on the fence about going tonight or to San Diego ,go.You will not be disappointed.

The band will be headlining rock in the range in May wondering if that points to a summer tour not the States
