  1. Looks like I never came off waitlist assuming it’s sold out for those that are going on the forum I hope you all have a great time the  palladium is a cool place to see a show always wanted to see guns in a stripped down  little rawer show .I just can’t justify paying anything over face though having seen them so many times over a 30 year span

oh wow! i bet they'll go cheaper on stubhub!

It’s all speculative prices as of now (obviously no one has tickets ) but it’s a grand to get in as of now on stubhub. When Metallica played a few years ago it was 100 bucks face value I paid 150 to get in day of show I think it’ll be 225/250 to get in hoping to go but not paying anything over 200

i talked to a friend who has been to 2 of the past citi vault shows at the palladium Muse and metallica and he said both bands did not even play full sets between 11--15 songs each

Yeah I was at the Metallica show the night of the Grammys they played 10 songs I believe .Opened  up with hardwired then all classics .it was pretty cool though I enjoyed it more then the rose bowl show for sure even though it was an abbreviated set

  4. Metallica did a similar show a couple years ago at the palladium I didn’t get tickets through Ticketmaster the following day I got a pair through stub hub for 300 (150) a pair they were 100 bucks face value not sure what these tickets are selling for at face  value but hoping to go Saturday if price is reasonable

It was a lot of fun but yeah I agree, stadiums are pretty lame.

Setlist was cool, though the middle section of it was a little flat for me.

Much more fun than the last time I saw them a few years ago when they were promoting the book of souls album.

Yeah I agree book of souls tour had 6 or 7 songs off that album for a set that I think had 15 tracks although I do love how maiden does it album followed by a tour then a legacy or Classics from a certain era tour they try and accommodate just about whole fan base ,great band who still brings it every time after all these years

    Seeing Maiden tonight.

Was at same show ,what did you think ? For me great setlist great show which would’ve been even better if it was an arena show not a huge fan of stadium shows not an empty seat last night close to 25,000

  7. Saw Bush and Live last night at the oc fair .Fun show Bush was great but set was a bit short ,Live was ok,they came on last think they alternate each night and while they sounded good show got a bit flat in stretches and was hard to match energy of Bush’s show

  8. I don’t think of them as overrated at all.I think of them more of what could’ve been .They were special like lightning in a bottle then they kind of disappeared.I guess to use sports as an analogy they were the best player or team in the league for a few years and had the possibility of greatest ever or a dynasty and then an injury derailed it if u will. But overrated ,nah

  9. Aerosmith last night in Vegas.Awesome place to see a show (park mgm ) incredible sound.Great time and Steven Tyler sounds fantastic and still has great energy and knows how to lead a band ,very impressive that he can still pull it off at his age

  10. Izzy was such a huge part of Guns .Steven was the original drummer but the Illusions albums proved that they could move past him as the lineup with Sorum put out 2 very good albums .Since Izzy left they’ve released one album in 25 years and while some people like /love that one album I am certainly not one of them.I think if Izzy came back into the fold  they could make one last great album.Without him I’m not holding my breath on the quality of that album if they ever put one together at all which I seriously doubt they ever will

    Any axl rants that night?.

I don’t recall anything out of the ordinary he did talk quite a bit at least compared to today’s Axl who barely says a word. I was at the coliseum show with the stones when he did his Brownstone rant about his band mates .That night they took stage right on time.when they played with Metallica later on in the uyi tour they took quite a bit of time in between Metallica’s set and there’s at the Rose Bowl I believe that had a bit to do with having to take down Metallica’s set and put there’s up

KROQ almost acoustic Xmas .Cool event squeezed in seeing a lot of bands for first time .Smashing Pumpkins headlined ,AFI Greta Van Fleet ,Bad Relegion ,Third Eye Blind ,30 seconds to Mars (not my favorite but my girlfriend  liked it and they’re entertaining)and a few others were all part of the set .Lots of bang for the buck

I got my ticket for the LA show, last week.  Section 222.  Set me back $70.00.  Far back, but I'm pretty much in center viewpoint of the stage which is a good sign.  If I got closer on either side of the stage in the 200 sections, that would set me back to $100+ and I didn't want to spend that.  No matter, I get to see Iron Maiden which I am really excited for.  It's an added cherry on top that Fozzy is on the bill as well as I like them enough and it's going to be pretty exciting to see Chris Jericho in a live setting (either wrestling or in Fozzy) for the first time ever for me and I know he'll get the place exciting to see Maiden (and try to get people into Fozzy in the process as well).

The only concern is that since it is on a Saturday in September and the venue is a soccer stadium that is right next door to USC's Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.  If USC is playing that day, could be big traffic and headaches trying to get parking.

I hope Iron Maiden keeps For the Greater Good of God in the US sets.  One of my favorite modern Maiden tracks (along with Paschendale and The Book of Souls).

Big SC guy here they play at BYU that day so that’ll be the only event that night.I know it’s 10 months away but super excited to see Maiden again .First time was Long Beach back to back night in late 80’s great live band haven’t lost a step after all these years
