I think his most recent study is utter horseshit:

    https://undark.org/2020/04/24/john-ioannidis-covid-19-death-rate-critics/

Some of these researchers are starting out with a theory and seem to warp their findings to prove their theory.  They also have no means of explaining the explosive number of deaths in places like Italy and New York. Finally, they love to play up the fact that the number of infected are being underreported but make little to no mention of deaths also being underreported.

It’s a shame that some well credentialed and respected scientists and researches are giving in to junk science just to make a name for themselves.

Not a big surprise someone like yourself would think that.

I’m thinking along the same lines of you I’ve been pretty much a hermit except for going for a run early every day and occasional trips to store so I’m being cautious. My buddy thinks this is another “flu” he turned me on to some of this doctors claims so I was just curious as to what others thought.

  2. Has anyone seen the videos or read the articles  by Dr John Ioannidis ? He has an interesting take on the Covid crisis.Obviously this is a serious situation that is unprecedented and I and my family  have closed our business which is considered essential(we will be reopening next week ) so I’m not taking the situation lightly by any stretch of the imagination. Just curious to what others think of this mans position if they have in fact heard or seen what his studies have shown ?

Foo Fighters just announced updated dates for their summer tour, now happening summer 2021. No refunds by the looks of it....

That’s a long time to hold on to peoples money.People should’ve be given option to receive their money back or hold onto tickets for the rescheduled date. They we’re scheduled to headline a show in D.C. and that show was outright canceled so refunds were automatic

  4. Bon Jovi cancelled their tour and offered refunds to everyone.Kudos to them for not holding on to anyone’s money as it could put to better use in these difficult times.Any concert is realistically so far off even if shows are postponed the buyer should have the option of a full refund for all shows in my opinion

  5. Be wary of eating too much in regards to edibles.I used to smoke pot regularly(daily smoker for 15 years )then causally for the next 15(maybe 2-3 times a month )transitioned to edibles and it was great until I ate too much on one occasion and it was an awful experience.I ate 2 whole chocolate bars (guy at the pot shop had recommended a quarter to half a bar to help with sleep, muscle aches etc ) gradually went up to eating whole one idk what I was thinking but consumed 2 bars and for the first time in my life got extremely paranoid on weed and couldn’t control my balance for hours on end.Never again

Not sure where I saw this, maybe on yahoo.com, but someone posted there wouldn't be any huge concerts until the fall of 2021. Honestly, I would agree at this point.

I have 4 major concerts starting in July and I really don't see me going if they're still on.

I think when these concerts get closer to the dates, they will either cancel or postponed them until next year. Which is fine by me.

I seen a similar article on blabbermouth and I agree 100 percent with you holding tickets for 5 upcoming shows 2 of which have already been postponed (Pearl Jam) and hoping the rest do as well.Have no desire to go at this point and wouldn’t go to any of the other 3 upcoming shows if they still happen (unlikely ).Just much too soon

Pearl Jam postponed their Euro tour that was supposed to start in late June

They were the first musical or sports act to postpone their performances here in the States.Im holding tickets to 3 of their shows (2 LA and the Ohana fest ) I don’t see anyway any kind of shows happen until their is an effective vaccine and or antiviral to ease people’s fears including myself.I just can’t see myself going to a concert and enjoying myself if this monster is still around which it most certainly be unless their is some way to combat it .

  8. On Blabbermouth there’s an article that says the Crue/Leppard stadium tour is still a go.I for one don’t even think that’s remotely possible as it’s supposed to start in 2 months time.Im holding tickets for the LA show but unless something drastic happens I don’t see it happening or how it would safe to allow such big public gatherings so soon.

US intelligence just released a report on that. I don’t trust them(China). Yes the US didn’t handle it well but I simply just don’t belive that there are no new cases in China. We are a long long long way off from a vaccine. I am lucky to still be a college

One of my friends and 2  of my cousins have it. I am now checking my body very carefully  because I saw one of them not to long ago

Hope your cousins and friend get better soon and your are ok.No doubt a terrible time for everyone

  10. How could the United States already have passed China in fatalities where the outbreak happened?Maybe if China was more truthful many innocent people wouldn’t have died. This is some scary unprecedented times for all of us.I don’t think we can go back to some sense of “normalcy” until some sort of effective antiviral is found coupled with tests that yield immediate results (like a flu or strep swab ) in order to get this somewhat under control.Be safe fellow Gunners

A 2020 tour. Sorry but this is not going to happen.

I'm pretty sure all my concerts for 2020 will be either cancelled or postponed to next year.

I can't believe band would tour this year nor would it be safe for any fans to attend especially in a big venue.

My remaining concerts are in stadiums or huge outdoor venues. Honestly, I don't want to be near that many people for a long time.

although it gives me hope that PJ are considering touring and possibly there is an end in sight, but I doubt it.

Yeah I’m holding tickets to 3 of their shows and I’m with you 100 percent.Im thinking everything gets pushed back at least till 2021.Lets hope we’re wrong and things get better sooner, but it sure looks like this is not going anywhere, anytime soon .Scary unprecedented times for sure

  12. For now just the two Pearl Jam dates at the Forum. No word on the Crue /Leppard show ,Black Crowes or Ohana with Pearl Jam.All those shows are in September hopeful that we can have some sort of normalcy by then but like everyone else not sure how this is going to all play out

  13. My family owns and operates a small bakery in so cal we could technically stay open and do take out which most of our business is but the anxiety I was feeling at work last weekend was through the roof and business had slowed to a crawl so we collectively decided to shut it down .We usually close for 3/4 weeks in the summer so hoping things get better and we’ll just skip our yearly vacation but unfortunately this looks like just the beginning.Scary ,unprecedented times for sure good luck to all fellow members getting through this time
