Great show tonight.anyone can post those “Hair of the dog” lines Axl sang?

I'd love to hear them play that. Maybe even just part of it as an interlude during Rocket Queen when Slash is on the talk box? I mean, I don't really want to make that song any longer than it already is but that would be fuckin' cool.

I think fans and the band are on the same page now.

The fans aren’t excited anymore, the tour has gone on a while and the band is about as unexciting as it gets at the moment. The performances are getting worse, Axl is being Axl and if we are being honest this band doesn’t have much of a future

Axl's sounding pretty good tonight. Every silver lining, you know.

  3. Terrible performance by Axl. How some people can say he sounded better here than today is ludicrous. If he performed an entire show like this on the NiTL tour people would write him off. Absolute shite. Even Berlin '18 is a better performance than this and that was one of his worst in years.

Even It's So Easy sounded like dogshit.

Cool that they played Oh My God though, I'd like to see them revisit that one, be cool to hear Slash's take on it.

  4. It's obvious. He doesn't prepare. Only difference is this time, he's had 6 months off. Which is why he sounds worse. When he prepares, you get AC/DC level vocals or the first NA leg of this tour, when he doesn't, you get a rusty first few shows with a gradual increase in quality.

    It's a shame but he doesn't give a fuck.

If we get a new album he'll sound fantastic, but nothing else, aside from maybe another AC/DC tour will get him off the couch.

The shows are still good in my opinion but he's not even nearly reaching his full potential.

Oh well, he'll probably start sounding good again after another 3 or 4 shows. Shame for people who've bought tickets to the intermediate shows but whatever.

If he blew out his voice that means the monitor system wasn't working and he sang harder to try and hear himself

Last time that happened in 1993 Axl fired the monitor guy

    Interesting

It's tempting to dismiss the "blame the sound" excuses but in this instance you actually may be right. This wasn't just a bad performance. It was as if he couldn't even sing in key, even on easy songs.

His throat seemed fine up until the end of Rocket Queen. (Jungle was a bit ropey but what do you expect, he's been off for 6 months.) After that, it's like he couldn't even sing the correct melodies. That's not just voice problems, that's being in a stadium and not being able to hear yourself over the noise.

Why so many excuses? The guy is done, it is that simple. He looks like a sick person up there. It's not just the voice, it is everything about him. And it has been this way for a long time.

Bit extreme. He's had some excellent performances on this tour, not to mention how he sounded with AC/DC. It's perfectly fine to criticise performances (tonight was a shocker) but I wouldn't say he's done.

    What's with the absolutism?

You see - I don't think it was that bad. He's certainly no worse there than he is now or even during the Illusion tour. The reason I think that performance hurt his credibility so badly was that brief portion during Jungle where he's out of breath. He still manages to close out Jungle reasonably well from there and both Paradise City and Madagascar were serviceable enough. Maybe because Axl didn't totally kill that performance after a decade away + the freakshow aspect = massive disappointment

He really needed to blow people away with that show and he ended up falling short. Still delivered a pretty good-ish one overall with an unfortunately embarrassing moment during Jungle where he ran out of breath.

No worse than he is now or on the Illusions tour?

He sounds way better now on those 3 songs than he did at this performance and I don't think you've seen a single show from the UYI tour if you believe your opinion.

A few weeks back there was a buzz about Atlas Shrugged and part of The General apparently circulating.  It almost seems like an elaborate prank, but Im told they are really out there. They cant be posted here for completely understandable reasons, but I hope those in possession will get them on YT or something.

I thought The General had been out for years? At least the instrumental. Didn't they use it as the pre show intro for the 2011 tour before they started using the Dexter theme?

  9. NITL will wrap up in mid-late 2018 (more dates will be announced before Christmas to fill the first quarter gap) and then they'll take a break. Slash will finish his Conspirators album and probably tour at least a little bit in 2018/19 when Myles' schedule permits. Axl will most likely work with Angus in some capacity if AC/DC decides to continue and then Guns will reconvene in a couple of years and  release an album and tour. They'll most likely make the occasional appearance here and there during their 'hiatus' too.

Or none of the above and the NITL tour literally lasts a lifetime.
