  1. Axl never gives interviews which is a rarity among old rock stars who usually at his age become "media whores" and appear everywhere they can to try to stay relevant. His small amount of interviews means that there are lots of interesting questions he has never been asked, these are the ones that come to mind for me:

-Where did your classic vocal style come from? It's not a typical one and it's hard to imitate. How did you develop it?

-There has been a lot said about the infamous fight with Nirvana at the MTV awards of 1992, can you give us your point of view about what exactly happened there? What are your current thoughts on Nirvana, Kurt Cobain and the whole feud?

-The lack of new releases ofc. Did you know that perfection is the enemy of good? Is Paul Tobias still locked in the vault?

Any more ideas? If Axl has actually been asked some of these questions please let me know.

  2. I disagree a lot with people that said that if it was good it would've been released so start fresh because imo Hardschool, Perhaps, Atlas and State of Grace are easily better than some songs that ended on CD (Riad, Scrapped and If the World got nothing on them) and those songs are just the tip of the iceberg. Also they rehearsed Hardschool in 2020 so Axl isn't intending to forget that song in particular.

The ideal would be releasing both CD 2 songs and some newer songs together just like UYI was older than AFD songs and newer ones but I'm doubtful of that.

  3. How would a new album even work? CD was already a Frankenstein album (a collage made of diferent musicians recording separately trough the years piecing together different versiojs of songs), with the lineup changes since then an album would be a Frankenstein made of 4 other Frankensteins. I can't see Axl not using all the parts Buckethead, Robin, etc recorded, I'm sure he'd keep at least some of them (and me and others would like to hear them). Would Slash just re-record parts by previous guitarists and add some solos? I'm sure he'd agree to that 'cause it's better than nothing but I don't think he would be too pleased if after all these years his new album with the band he has accomplished more has zero creative input from him other than some solos.

  5. They rehearsed Pretty Tied Up, Think About You and Hardschool in Mexico so hope they play them to "celebrate" their return. They rehearsing Hardschool in particular still seems surreal, it's the closest we've been to new music since the reunion started and then nothing happened.

  6. On 10/27/2020 at 6:35 PM, Shackler's said:

That setlist isn't from Mexico, it's dated 1/31/20, which would land on the Super Bowl Music Fest gig.

Also, it's fake, here's the real setlist from that show, taken by a fan at the gig.

Some other points to debunk the setlist:

    • It's missing the pyro-stars, although those are not always there.
    • "You're Crazy" doesn't have "(slow version)" in brackets.
    • "Double Talkin' Jive" is written as "Double TALKING Jive". Other setlists I've seen has it written with the apostrophe.
    • "Hard School" is written as "Hard Skool", which is odd, why'd they change that when in November 2019 it appeared as "Hard School" on the setlist?
    • The songs, compared to the actual show, aren't even in order.

That one it's dated 1/31/2020 bellow in the first page too! That's not the real Mexico setlist, that's the Super Bowl Music Fest one, it has the same order as the show with DTJ being played after Dead Horse unlike the Mexico show.

I can't say for sure if it was a real setlist because I'm not in the band or management but I'm still inclined to believe it's real, it has all the new rehearsed songs.

  7. I was very annoyed that they were touring again this year but that turned into hype when they rehearsed Think About You, Pretty Tied Up and Hardschool with Axl in Mexico, plus So Fine as a Duff solo. They rehearsed not one but four damn new songs with Axl present (first time they did something like this since the reunion started), all of them were GNR songs instead of covers and one of them was a leaked unreleased never played song that basically confirmed that it would be on the next album! That must definitely mean that the new album is coming!

However since we can't have nice things only So Fine was played and coronashitrus happened.

I came across the setlist from that show/would've been tour that leaked at that time & included all those rehearsed songs, what do you think of it? It's an improvement over the previous year altough I'd change the order of some of the new songs. BTW, let's hope Axl seeing AC/DC releasing an album full of unreleased songs from previous years gives him ideas.
