Yeah. A little bit. :lol: But more importantly, do you? :P

I don t care I was proven wrong in this case..

happy I get to see them in Budapest. June is quite filled with other gigs for me, but at this point I dont care as GNR is the only band I love who doesn’t make new music. So 1 GNR gig will be enough for me this year

Are people seriously using the Stones and Beyonce as examples that GNR could sell out stadiums quickly?

In 2016-17 GNR were as big of a draw as them, but now? Wtf are you people smoking!? :rofl-lol:

Exactly- the GNR fanbase that will go a concert „no matter what“ is not big enough to  sell out stadiums. And the common rock fan is tired of GNR. When I told a friend of mine that GNR is likely to tour Europe this summer she responded „again? They ve been here so often since the reunion and don t offer anything new… therefore many common rock fans won t buy a ticket to see them. And one new single (if that may come) doesn t change a thing. There was no hype among rock fans after „hard school“

According to this the show in Vigo, Spain would be on June 12 and the band is asking for 3 million dollars

The source you quote  is saying „non official source“ . I tend to believe the hyde park thing is a one off europe gig for GNR. It s quite late to announce stadium gigs for June only in February or later.

And some people want this guy touring with Guns...

I would take a 1,5 gnr show with steven any day over a 3 hours show with Frank or Matt.

Everyone can be sick , especially now with flu and covid .. I would love Steven to tour with Gnr, would bring much needed swing to the performances

Something like,"Axl, I completely support you  Let's have a couple of beers and chill for a little bit." They drink the beers, chill, and Axl is calmed down. 😀

What would have changed if axl „calmed down“ but the audience didn’t? Why should the audience calm down if Axl left the stage for at least 5-10 minutes?? Some individuals in the audience were already „hot“ so your plan to calm Axl down wouldn’t have changed anything. In my opinion the only thing to do was throw those people out and try to calm the rest of the audience. Usually security throws out people who do shit. So as I already wrote in another post : with qualified security the riot might not have occurred… has nothing to do with Axl. Skid Row were support band on that tour and Snake said that he had a uncomfortable feeling already in the afternoon. And he also stated that he was scared for an 18 year old girl that was working there as security because how could an 18 y old girl work as security for a hardrock concert with mostly male audience? He also said that when the riot broke out Izzy left the stadium immediately with his own tour bus and advised Skid row to follow him which they did.

I don t know why you think that whatever decision the band took it would have stopped the riot. Sometimes riots happen at a rock show but clearly not to that extent. And people who start a fight are thrown out, there it didn t happen… So whats your point in calming down axl??

Izzy was partially to blame for the infamous Riverport Riot incident. Izzy was directly behind Axl and could have reached out and stopped Axl from jumping into the crowd. On a side note, Izzy looks at Axl concerned even before Axl says,"Hey take that!" There were reports that a biker gang had been harassing Axl all throughout the show which could be why Izzy looked at Axl concerned even before the"Hey take that!"

Blaming Izzy for the St. Louis riot is huge girl! I wouldn’t even blame Axl, but only the audience itself AND the company who was responsible for the security. The show was not finished after 15 mins but after 1,30 hours so there was NO reason why an audience has to freak out and destroy everything and put others in danger!! Some rock shows last only 1.30 hours. Second thing revealed only a few weeks ago by Snake Sabo during Brando s podcast: Snake saw that one of the securities was an 18 ! year old girl!!! I mean seriously??? He was surprised and a bit scared that they put someone like an 18 year old girl as security and had „a bad feeling“ .

what if several securities were totally not adapted for hardrock concerts and not able to react in the right way?? Fault is clearly there and in those idiots in the audience.

Add Rammstein and Motley Crue+Def Leppard to that, also Steel Panther announced a new album + world tour and Kiss doing Europe again

Almost every hard rock band is touring next year and some of them like Skid Row have new albums out. Indeed we will have a money issue with all those great bands touring … it s gonna be cherry-picking at this point …

Already got Offspring, Rammstein, Skid Row , GNR planned.. more than once.

good for us that after 2 years of no touring we re back at it 🤘🏻

You’re right, it’s only rock n roll, but Skid Row had pretty decent lyrics at least when Sebastian was in the band. Their songwriting over the three albums he did with them developed so much, and this new album is a massive step backwards.

If you get enjoyment from that, good for you. But I like lyrics to have some substance and meaning, otherwise you might as well be listening to top 40 rubbish.

Well the songwriters are still the same: Snake Sabo and Rachel Bolan. Everything Skid Row ever wrote was those 2. the album has great reviews but of course it won’t please everyone.
going to see them live tomorrow- can’t wait!!

  9. It s not

Man, I’ve tried to so hard to like the new Skid Row, but these lyrics are absolutely terrible.

”tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick… BOOM”

The same can be said for the whole new album really. It’s pretty strong instrumentally, but the lyrics really let it down.

It s not rocket science - it s rock n roll - I love some of the songs and for me like most of the skid row fans this is a great album. Hell or high water, nowhere fast, resurrected and october s song are awesome.

  10. New Skid Row single - Time Bomb

I love it. It s my favorite new song from the 3 so far released singles. Very cool bass lines and Erik s voice is fantastic.

the album will be awesome. Mitch lafon said it s the best hard rock album he has heard in the last 15 years!! Go Skid Row ❤️🤘🏻

Erik is a great singer and all, but I feel like this is superior to anything Skid Row can achieve on their own:

Personal taste … some prefer Sebastian ,others like me prefer Skid Row.

I don’t like his solo work much. I prefer any Skid Row album to a Sebastian solo allbum.

The 2 new skid row songs are good, I like them but they don’t reach the level older albums or Thickskin have.

As far as I know Sebastian didn’t have success chartswise with his solo work, he also plays same size of venues so it s personal preference in the end..

Rude is to mock people who wear earplugs. Rude is to suggest to stop going to concerts when you wear earplugs. Rude is to deny that people actually can get and have gotten Tinnitus from attending concerts. Rude is what you are doing, always taking sides, preferrably against whatever I have to say. I didn't start this conversation. And it's not an opinion that people can and have gotten Tinnitus from concerts, it's fact. Also it's not opinion that people wear earplugs at concerts, it's fact. Just look around.

Exactly that. And for the record I actually do prefer the sound without earplugs.

I mocked one single person who was calling me out before, ok, calling me a random fan. So that made me going…

I didn’t suggest to stop going to concerts when one wears ear plugs. I said I would stop going to concerts if I feel the need to wear them! Big difference!

I also didn’t say people don‘ t wear ear plugs. I said I don’t get it why someone goes to a concert and then uses them cause they feel its too loud… so you didn’t really read well

And that s all from my side. If you misunderstand everything …

I would always advise earplugs no matter what the situation, but I think it's different for everyone.
My band rehearses in this tiny rehearsal space and I'd go deaf for sure if I didn't wear earplugs.
I actually didn't use them for a couple of songs the other day during some quieter songs, and it took over a month before my ears felt normal again.
I'll never do that again. But my drummer never wears earplugs. And from what he says, he doesn't experience any problems after rehearsal.
Maybe this is because he's a drummer and already deaf anyway, haha, but I think it's insane how he can cope with such loud sounds.

That s what I am saying: it s different for everyone, people are not the same and me I never had the feeling I would want ear plugs cause I am enjoying the music. I am almost always front row - maybe I am a bear 🐻 but I feel super comfortable and party front row without having issues. Worst thing that happened was Munich where one ear felt a bit strange after GNR s terrible sound there, but after 4,5 hours all was good. So in 35 years of concert going I was fine, whereas other s maybe feel different because for them it is loud. It s like some people can eat anything and mix all kind of stuff and will never get sick and others have a delicate stomach - people and their bodys are different

You know, with this level of arrogance, ignorance and cluelessness, I kinda start to wish you get to the point where you realize how wrong you were. Earplugs are a thing and people wear them at concerts, even if you're too blind to see it. Tinnitus after concerts are not a given, but they are a thing too. Even when you thought it wasn't too loud. Yes, a concert without earplugs sounds better most of the time, but hearing without Tinnitus is better too. So really, the people wo wear earplugs on their own volition, not caring what others might think about them, probably are the smarter ones.

I am sorry Patrick but you don’t know anything about me, so don‘t you call me arrogant, ignorant and clueless ok?

    thank you !

I use them at the movies too.

And that's the thing once hour ears get damaged, a lot of things become a bit of a bitch to deal with.

It's like fracturing your knee or something, it will never be like it was before.

That's so assbackwards. Using earplugs means you don't need to retire from live gigs, because your ears won't get damaged, when you use them.

I honestly don‘t think that rock concerts are loud. Or better: too loud or that loud that I would need ear plugs and that s the point. If it s not too loud why should I use them?

I go to lots of festivals, hard rock gigs and punk rock gigs with small and large locations but I never thought „oh that s too loud. „ I just had fun if I liked the band or was bored if I didn’t .
maybe I would need them at a death metal or speed metal gig, no idea but certainly not for commong rock gigs. I don‘ t know anyone besides kids who wears ear plugs. And of course security cause usually they don’t like the music there and sometimes just wonder how crazy fans get ..
