Hey folks. About to pull trigger on Pit tickets. Have a couple of questions hoping some of you may know/remember from last time in 2016. I unfortunately pregamed far too much and far too long to have any reasonable recollection of the details.
Do we have a clear idea when Guns will be done their show? I assume its 11.
was there an outside merch stand last time in 2016 at Rogers Centre? I know there was in the concourse of Union Station/Scotia in 2017, where you could buy merch without a ticket. (Hoping to buy my merch in advance)
Anyone else going for PIt, and what time you plan on getting in line?
One last Q, and quite the random one. Anyone ever use the APP usebounce.com before? Looking at possibly doing some Vinyl shopping in TO while I’m in the city, and looking for ways to store bags outside of venue and pick up after show. Would also use if there is an outside merch stand. There seems to be a location 15 mins walk from CN Tower, so completely doable. This seems to be a relatively new service/app, and hoping for some positive feedback in any city, especially for non-luggage items (shopping bags)
Thanks in advance
In 2016, Toronto actually had one of the later start times on the tour that year (nearly 10:00 pm before Guns hit the stage). I don't expect it to be that late this time. They seem to be averaging 8:00-8:30 on this run. Assuming the three hour show I imagine 11:30 is more likely the end time. Anyone hoping to catch that coveted 11:45 train from Union might be out of luck.
There was indeed a merch truck outside on the boulevard in 2016.
Hopefully someone else can chime in to help with your other questions!

To be fair, "thunderous, rapid-fire drum beat" might be the kindest thing I've ever read about Frank. Nice to see him mentioned.

$50 upstairs if anybody just wants to go to be there for a night out.

Why'd they get divorced? Did she get tired of waiting for him to master the second half of the SCOM solo?
She overheard the sounds coming through the walls of his home studio and said,
"Sorry. I thought I married a guitar player."

Fuck it, I think I’m in for this one. But I’ll be waiting until the day before/day of to get tickets.
I'm on the fence about going, but if I do go I'm doing the same. Day of purchase.
If I go we can make good on our long overdue beer and catch up!

Setlist.fm says Slash played a piece of Fall to Pieces after Patience but I didn't notice that.
I saw that too when I checked out the setlist. I think somebody just got confused because the very last descending arpeggio Slash plays in Patience is indeed quite similar to the start of Fall To Pieces.

In all honesty - Absurd.
I think the overall hilarity of that being the first "new" song to come out Slash and Duff being back really just stood out to me at the time. I find it on my rotation far more than Hard Skool which was only ever just an "okay" song for me.
Perhaps is kind of the same. Just "okay" to me, although objectively probably the best written of the three.

Instead of playing Perhaps tonight they're going to play Wichita Lineman twice, and then say they've recorded a cover of it under the title The General for exclusive vinyl release this fall.

I don't hear Sweet Home at all. It's not even the same chord progression.

I couldn't agree more. It's hard not be be slightly underwhelmed by songs I've heard already. Not that that's the fault of the band - obviously I've chosen to listen to the leaks all along. Nevertheless, this will be a chance to experience the song unheard for the first time and I plan on taking it.

Amazing how excited we all are about a music video for a song that was mostly recorded like 20 years ago. See Fernando? I know we're a miserable lot most of the time but we ain't too hard to please.

I mistakenly thought that this was just going to be another afterthought of a lyric video.
Wow. I wasn't expecting that. Easily the best video they've put together since the Use Your Illusion days. In fact, it would fit nicely on Welcome to the Videos. I'm impressed.

A note to vinyl hunters - I just reloaded the website and was able to pre-order.

Listened to it on Spotify on my drive to work. It's okay. I think in terms of production it probably sounds the best of the three tracks we've gotten so far. At least that's how I felt on my first listen.
I'll give it a few more listens, but I never loved the old leak anyways. Great that it's finally out though.

Hopefully it gets restocked. I had no trouble getting the Hard Skool one when that was released.

I'm shocked that Izzy wrote Pretty Tied Up. 😳😱 Pretty Tied Up is kind of a raunchy, SM, 50 Shades Of Gray type of song, it's a song about a kinky Dominatrix, something you'd think AXL would write, not Izzy who often wrote more melancholy, heartfelt songs ..🤔
Bad Obsession and Double Talkin' Jive truly are real tear jerkers.

There's still a chance they'll drop the "VIP" stuff from the pit closer to the day, although I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up still being a "platinum ticket" or whatever.
I had close seats behind the pit in 2016 and did the pit itself in 2017. That's plenty enough for me. I'm happy to settle for further back this time.

Seems he's got a couple California shows this Fall so here's hoping he tours next year.
He also listed some more guitars a couple days ago. Mostly lower end stuff but all used on the Pikes.

was pretty full... they let GA ppl into the pit for free to fill it up, otherwise there woulda been a huge gap... general reaction was pretty positive... i dont think many ppl knew they cut it short... i mean it was still a 3 hour show or pretty damn close
I feel like, had I gone as intended, I would have ended up feeling the same way as you so maybe I'm not as sorry I missed it as I thought I would be.

Doesnt seem great deal. I paid $395 for 2 floor seats, section C7, back in February.
It's better than $250 and up. I'm waiting until they're closer to the $100 mark which seems inevitable with the dreadful sales and then I'll buy.

Toronto show is finally seeing some visible price drops. Lower bowl can now be had for $160-$180 for the most part, although I'm continuing to wait for now. It's not like there is any shortage of tickets.

9:45 was sticking in my head, but according to the old 2016 thread it was 9:54. We were all complaining about the gunshots going on for eternity.
