I think it's really cool to get a 10 minute song in the encore. Must be great especially for people who thought the band was already done playing and coming back with something long like that.

Honestly I love coma in the encore.  It's one of their best songs and should be treated as such.

Not gonna lie when he started introducing the next song I really thought it was gonna be Perhaps. Wouldn’t make sense to play tonight which is EXACTLY why they would play it lol

I thought 100% it was going to be perhaps. My heart kinda sank that my first time seeing Perhaps played live would be from Craig's stream lmao

Hard to argue that TB are bad managers when they've been the management team for a 7 year world tour, being in the top couple of most successful tours of each year (and therefore of all time). There have been no problems, everyone gets to do their side gigs, they're making much more than they did on the UYI tour. There have been a ton of pro shot audio or video, the AFD box set and UYI remasters, vault releases, couple of singles.

All much more than the prior 8 years since the release of CD. Of course it would be preferable to have a whole album and more vault stuff, and TB's relationship with the fanbase is questionable, but their job isn't to manage the fans.

For real Guns n Roses were a train wreck for 30 years lol

Re: the TB stuff, I just think there is so much legitimate criticism about how they have handled things that we don't need to compare Beta to Family Guy's Consuela and do the "no no lemon pledge" bit to get the point across lol

I think so many here are thinking people are saying all critiques of TB are being dubbed as racist - I don't think they are but to me you do see the lemon pledge bit pop up and to me it just is lacking in taste and humor.  Just like the mid-2000s seasons of Family Guy the specific reference is pulled from

We can say TB are shit at managing a huge rock band without going there - I know I do all the time

I think the criticism is unfair. Under TB Axl and Slash reunited, went on one of the biggest tours of all time, have had multiple successful tours after, played and headlined just about every major music festival in the world, and became a money making machine after years of playing small clubs.  Last time I saw GnR before the reunion Axl was playing in a casino where bands like Chevelle headline.  They have also put out two box sets with personal photos from Axl's collection.

Now I'm not going to say they are responsible for all the success the band has had the last few years but they are certainly doing their job.  Axl is also clearly happy and at peace with them.  For the first time in his entire life he is happy and at peace. So I guess I don't see what the major issue is.  I'm sure it's not the management team preventing Axl from putting out new my music lol

I’ve had no words from the first I heard of the jukebox leak, and still don’t. Just wild and so so odd.

I don't think this is as uncommon as you think it is when delays happen. A few examples were cited in articles already.

The only year without touring was 2020, since the reunión, right?

They did have a 2020 tour planned but everything got cancelled of course (I had really cool seats for Philadelphia) and they did play two shows before the world shut down.

I think they will take a year off but be back at it in 2025. Hopefully with a new album. Lol

Are you sure Metlife has a curfew? In 2016 the show ended at 12:40 AM. I know that was 7 years ago but I looked up Taylor Swift's recent shows there and they ended between 11:25 and 11:40.

So there might not be a curfew after all. I was at the 2016 show on Slash's birthday and I thought it ended at 11 but my girl is telling me that it went later so idk

GnR and Swift are both known for breaking curfews though lol.

I saw GNR in 2006 in East Rutherford at an indoor arena (Izod or whatever it was called back then) and they didn't even take the stage until after 11. With parking and the 90 min drive home we didn't get home til well after 3.  Every time we go see GNR the Misses brings that up to me 🤣🤣

In terms of lineups I'd say Yes - lots of different lineups over the years and occasions when there's been another version of the band working under another name like VR. I'm also on a Yes forum and it's quite similar to the NuGuns era on here there- i.e. the fandom being enthusiastic about a band primarily made up of non-classic members and discussing the new members in depth even if the general audience seem more sceptical and probably aren't overly familiar with the new members. The difference is the Steve Howe led NuYes keep putting records out.

In terms of output I'd actually say The Sex Pistols. Sure, GN'R put out more than one record but for lots of people Appetite is the main GN'R album and like the Pistols, it seems a lot of the material was done in a quick explosion of creativity. I can't think of other bands so tied to their debut (well, in the Pistols' case their only proper album).

I would argue that GNR has become tied just as much to November Rain as they are AFD.  I mean the music video has over 2 billion views on YouTube and is still to this day one of the most talked about music videos of all time. And I think many people see it as Axl's magnum opus.
