How is Greta van fleet? Should I go to see them tomorrow when we are in LA? If tickets..

They were fantastic played just under 12 hours a fair bit of extended Jams, they played 12 songs 3 of which were slower in a row creating a bit of a low in the set but it picked up quite quickly afterwords.

  2. SMKC - Living The Dream (I don't get the hate for this what so ever, it is a great album)

Alter Bridge - The Last Hero (Yea production is grating but still amazing songs throughout)

GNR - Chinese Democracy (Not on par with what came out before but by no means a bad album)

Scorpions - Humanity:Hour 1; Return To Forever; Sting In The Tail (Yea they aren't as strong rockers as the early stuff but still quality albums)

Just some examples there are sure to be a few others but these are the ones off hand.

Add me to the list of MyGNRers who saw Maiden this year (Mexico City). Obviously this is all @Powerage5's fault  :P

Goes without saying they put GNR to shame when it comes to concerts and setlists.

Saw Maiden twice on this tour, their shows are easily the best two concerts I’ve ever been to.

Based on circumstances I've had to drop my ticket to see Sabaton leaving just one more show (The Who) currently booked to round off a year of absolutely amazing concerts.

    2019

    1. Greta Van Fleet
    2. Kiss
    3. Lynryd Skynyrd W/ Randy Bachman
    4. P!nk

    7. Judas Priest w/ Uriah Heep
    8. Queen + Adam Lambert
    9. Slash ft Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators
    10. Blue Oyster Cult w/ Quiet Riot, David Wilcox and The Romantics

    13. Iron Maiden
    14. Elton John
    15. Led Zepagain
    16. The Who

Been an amazing year of concerts thus far and there are a couple shows which I might nab tickets for closer to the day but if no more are added to this line up I'll be very much satisfied.

    Potential additions:

    • John Fogerty
    • Bret Michaels

  4. Jon recently revealed the title of the groups next album to be Bon Jovi 2020 . Says it will be politically conscious album so not to expect songs like You Give Love A Bad Name which frankly I wouldn't expect a song like that based off their past albums...

  5. Update:

Weird Al was a great show, incredible comedic timing throughout the show and he sounded fantastic. Ending off with his Star Wars parody songs was amazing and as a whole the show was quite nice.

Due to circumstances including not committing soon enough I missed Billy Idol. However this was fine as  I had the oppertunity to see Iron Maiden two nights on their tour which was absolutely unreal. Fantastic setlist, the band is on fire and they delivered two shows which are easily among the best if not are the best two shows I have ever seen.

  6. These days features some of Bon Jovis best deep album cuts however it does have a fair bit of stuff that doesn’t work for me personally. That being said if he broke out either of Something To believe in or My guitar lies bleeding in my arms at a show I might shit myself

  7. Seen a couple shows since last time I checked in. The first of which was Judas Priest w/ Uriah Heep. Wow can Halford still scream and Ritchie Falkner is an amazing guitarist. Next up was Queen who put on a fantastic show and delivered a great setlist. Opening with a tape of innuendo was a fantastic way to begin the show. Slash well, was amazing. Myles is one of if not the best vocalist I've seen live and the Conspirators are amazing.

This weekend I get to see Blue Oyster Cult; Next week is Weird Al and Billy Idol Rounds out the month. September brings Iron Maiden, Ghost, Elton and Led Zepagain which makes for a rocking two months if you ask me.

Thank you! :) Were there any signed items or exclusive specific show merchandise?

I personally didn't see any. But I also didn't look to hard at the vinyl since I had just recently ordered the double LP Red vinyl off of Amazon.

Show was absolutely amazing, the first few songs were quite well done and fun but once Boulevard of Broken hearts came in the band was on fire for the remainder of the show. Call of The Wild was a good opener but I feel like Myles should sing it higher live it just sounded a little off. By The Sword was unreal, I cannot believe they took it out of the set for so long. Nightrain had the most crowd energy as one can expect Slash's solos didn't go on too long but I would be okay if they were shortened slightly so the band could play something else as well, like The Unholy, The Dissident or Beneath The Savage Sun, or even another of the longer ballads from Living The Dream. The One You Loved Is Gone was amazing the people behind me clearly didn't know Slash wasn't playing much GNR stuff since when the double neck came out they freaked out because they expected Civil War.

  9. I will say his voice has had years at a time where it was basically gone then came back, what he needs is to listen to a bloody vocal coach. I believe he quit smoking which should have helped... I just wish he would vary the setlist up with more deep tracks from Slippery through These Days, but I feel those days are gone with Ritchie

  11. Saw P!nk a few weeks back, she put on a great show, 2nd time I've seen her and she is likely the only non-rock artist I will definitely see again amazing show.

Saw Michael Schenker Fest the other night, absolutely unreal show, all 4 singers did an amazing job, the UFO tracks were amazing to hear live. His guitar work was on fire.

    Next up is Halestorm

Are you serious? I don't think anybody on here would be complaining if six new songs replaced Double Talkin Jive, The Seeker, Shadow of Your Love, Slither, This I Love and Coma (which has sounded dreadful since 2017).

There is plenty of room in the setlist for new songs.

I'd replace 1 of those songs, being TIL. Coma if it gets swapped it would have to be with some other deep cut.
