The leak of The General / Monsters after thinking we'd be waiting another 6 weeks or whatever for The General.

This thread is making me want to go to another gig! This is the first time in years that there is no upcoming gigs right?

the quality of Monsters is also means that Axl might have more unreleased tunes from the Chinese era on that caliber as I personally consider Monsters as the strongest track released from the NITL lineup.

That's very true. All in all I think we can be happy with 2023 as GNR fans.

If we get the same level of productivity in 2024 I'd be happy.

Also agree about Monsters being the best 'new' track. That song deserves a stand alone release really, and a big budget music video while they're at it!

GNR could have ended 2023 with a bang by dropping Monsters as a hidden third track but I guess that was never going to happen really!

AFD was the first CD I bought, I then pretty quickly bought UYI, I also remember buying Lies at a record fare.

There's a picture of me somewhere of me and a friend with a lookalike of the Queen, and I'm wearing an AFD t-shirt from around the same time.

Just had an email from DHL telling me my Perhaps CD single should be arriving by Thursday 

Saving my recently bought CD boxset until Christmas day. I'm going wrap it and everything and get that fn' Blu Ray playing Christmas evening!

I want the CD. It's also avaliable for preorder on ebay but it is more expensive there. 

CDJapan is super legit and has existed for decades I think. I've ordered from them plenty of times and never had any problems.

Got my Perhaps vinyl today, better late than never!

They sent it out in a very thin cardboard envelope, so I'm surprised it didn't get damaged in transit.

No real promo from Axl and no music videos basically destroyed any chance of Chinese Democracy being the commercial success that it deserved to be.

I imagine Axl felt mysterious and edgy going into hiding but it was self sabotage on an industrial scale and he effectively ended his career as a commercial recording artist in that moment.

Here we are today, 15 years later and still waiting for the follow up!

My CD boxset arrived today to the UK. Surprisingly I didn't even get stung with import tax, must have slipped through the net at customs.

At £70 posted this was a crazy deal, it's still £180 on Amazon, which was way out of my price range.

I'm still in genuine disbelief that we have 20 minutes of CD2

A solid third of an album at least!  

The General / Monsters leak will keep this GNR fan happy until at least the Spring! Then I'll start getting edgy again wishing for Atlas to come out.

It would be wild if the 7" only has the 2 songs and the Japanese cd single ends up being the only place to officially get Monsters.

Whoever is keeping these songs off YouTube is doing an excellent job.

After listening to these non stop on there for the first few days I've not been able to listen to either song in weeks!

I just caved and bought the Japanese CD single!

£21 posted to my door! I went for express shipping

Good news though- a decent quality copy of The General will be great. 

I'd say there's a 90% certainty that a CD single becomes available worldwide in the next week or so.

It's great we're getting some sort of CD single though!
