Black Leather, since round 1.

It's crazy that GNR (a band known for recording great covers) never recorded this properly for an official release.
It would have been a perfect b-side.

The original is good but yeah I voted for it too.
How I rank TSI:
1st Ain't it Fun
2nd Down on the Farm
3rd Since I Don't Have You
And then the rest I don't really care about at all.
Those are the 3 belters, and then a few others are nice enough. But around half the album is nowhere near GNR album quality for me.
They should have released the best 4-6 songs as an EP, that would have gone down a lot better I think.
The decision to release it as a proper album made them look like they had completely run out of ideas, which I guess they had? lol

If Breakdown ends up going out before 14 Years and Pretty Tied Up this forum should be closed down.

I find it funny You Ain't the First gets so many votes. I've always found it a fun little laidback song.
It's a great little song.
It would have been perfect for GNR Lies if they decided to make it a full length LP of new material.

Based on Slash's comments the likely scenario is another EP with two new songs to coincide with the Europe tour in June, and then maybe another EP in November for the Australia / New Zealand leg if we get lucky. That could take us to 6 songs, half an album.
The odds of a full album in 2022 are basically zero unless Axl gets a brain transplant.

I've voted Rocket Queen the last 3 or 4 rounds.
I can't believe SCOM and Paradise City have gone already.

Slash Tells Apple Music What’s Next…
Well, there’s a lot going on. I mean, there’s a lot of making up for 2020 right now because we’re able to go out and play. So I’m out with the Conspirators in the states through March and then I’m out with Guns N’ Roses from, I guess end of May or early June all the way through the end of the year doing a European tour in Australia and South America. And then doing the international tour with the Conspirators at the top of next year, so that’s Europe and Australia and Asia and South America. There’ll be a lot more stuff written for both bands during that long trek, so sometime, I would say probably new music would be coming around 2023, 2024.
New apple music interview..So no new music until 2023-2024 ? I think plans changed again.Bad news…
He's obviously taking about an album in 2023-24.
Slash has already confirmed they intend on releasing new music to tie in with the European tour in June, so I guess that will take the form of another EP with 2 new songs and 2 more live tracks.
As long as new music is slowly coming out I'm happy to wait for the album.

Can we assume that the NITL live album that Fernando talked about is now not happening and instead we're getting the best live material on these EPs?
They totally missed the boat with a live album / Blu Ray for NITL.
2020 would have been the year to do it while the band worked tirelessly on the new album

Have we figured out what shows the live tracks were taken from?
I assumed bootleg aficionados would have got to the bottom of this weeks ago.

Hopefully my UK bundle (Vinyl/CD/Cassette) arrives packed like that!
My creased CD copy can live in the car I guess.

My American order arrived today in the UK (CD only). It's quite poor that they've packed it straight into a jiffy bag with no cardboard protection, as a result the card sleeve is now creased in a few places. Disappointing.
Hopefully my UK order (Vinyl/CD/Cassette) is packaged more securely to avoid similar damage in transit.
Looking forward to ripping the CD tonight and listening to the live tracks!

Physical versions are on sale now from the UK store, for those in Europe that were waiting.......
Thanks for the heads up. I just bought all 3 formats for £23.92 shipped.
I'm really glad I didn't order all 3 from the American site now

Mine says the same but since the 27th!

Hyped for this.
To hold in our hands the first new GNR CD since 2008 will be pretty special.
I'm also pretty curious to hear how good the live tracks sound.

Hopefully this means new music is coming sooner than we thought. This certainly opens up the chance for a Spring single, or potentially even sooner!
Common sense originally ruled out new material until after the Hard Skool EP was released on vinyl, which was originally planned for June.
I'm slightly more convinced now that we'll get another track or two before the European tour.

My reply:
Hi Jerry,
Well the picture clearly shows a 12” single.
If a 7” single is definitely what you are offering then the photo on the website should be updated as a matter of urgency as its very misleading.

This is the reply I got from the GNR help email address after asking them to clear up whether the Nightrain membership vinyl is a 12" or a 7" single:
Dear Jack,
Thank you for contacting us. Regarding your question, we reviewed the fan club website. The 2022 fan club gift consist of the "Limited-Edition 7" Clear Vinyl". The picture might only be an image to demonstrate the 2022 gift.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Jerry
Nightrain Fan Club
Going off that maybe it is a 7", but tbh I guess they have no real idea. It appears all they've done is look at the useless website. I wont bother signing up to Nightrain!

Enjoyable interview.
It would have been interesting to hear his opinion on what he thinks of Chinese Democracy, and what he thinks about a potential new album with Slash and Duff.

I can see fans joining to get that 12".
Personally, I already have SOYL on the Mr Brownstone 12" single and the 7" single from the L&L set. And I good if I don't have the studio version of Absurd.
So I'm good with the HS 7" just to have the studio version of that. Again though, I could see others paying for Nightrain just to get the 12"
I've not bothered ordering either vinyl yet so it would be quite a good option for me if does turn out to be a 12" record.
Currently I just have the CD ordered.

Do you think Axl will release a new GNR album?

Would Axl be able to block a GNR album from beyond the grave? Serious question.
Assuming that isn't the case, I think we'll get a steady flow of new GNR material (maybe 2 or 3 albums within 5-10 years) within a year of Axl kicking the bucket.
