  1. I didn't say you were creepy. But of the 20 topics I can see on the first page of this forum, 6 of them are yours.
  2. This thread is the definition of irony.
  3. Geographically speaking, multiple countries in Europe is no different than multiple states in the United States. And GNR's schedule wasn't really much different on most legs of their touring since 2016. Granted, GNR usually took at least an average of 1-2 days off in between shows. But for a 3 hour show and the sheer logistics involved for massive GNR productions, which probably require a crew 5-10 times lager than a similar crew for a Slash solo tour, that's understandable. A stadium and a club are two different things. Outside of a few back-to-back dates on Slash's schedule, it's not much of a deviation from what GNR has been doing for the last seven years.
  4. To who?! Besides the 150 people canvassing this thread, nobody else, in the WORLD, knows about, gives a shit or two f**ks what the hell 'The General' is. Somewhere, I picture Axl and Melissa sitting in front of a laptop with popcorn and candy on a plane laughing it up over this thread. They probably yelled for Slash or Duff to come check it out, but they're too busy playing solitaire on their phones during the flight. Not even the band gives two f**cks! We're all lunatics.
  5. Understood. Thanks for getting me caught up on the Evader version. It's really good and convincing to a layman that doesn't know the backstory.
  6. It's not a bad tune. So from what I'm gathering, someone made their own version of that intro that's played at the Puerto Rico show... then somehow created convincing vocals for the rest of the song (they came up with)? I'm probably not up to speed on all the GNR CSI crap that's gone on over this whole thing. My only guess, concocted in the last 10 minutes, is someone was really good at recreating that opening intro... but the vocals... how did they pull that off? I can see it being done today with the advent of AI... but certainly not years ago. The vocals are very, very convincing. More so than most of the AI out there today.
  7. I have a life nowadays so I haven't read this entire thread. I check the forum every now and then for big news or to follow some of the live show threads... which is fun from time-to-time. So feel free to label me as an idiot, if you'd like! Hell, I'll do it. I'm an idiot. I remember what it was like to be so obsessed with a GNR forum... so I don't blame you for being frustrated with my post. My being an idiot aside... this "Evader" version does exactly match that opening bit from the Puerto Rico show. So if it's a "recreation", it's a pretty damned good one.
  8. I used to get into major battles with Kaneda. They were epic. I was Matt13 for the longest time before I got banned on here for speaking out for Madison and against the forum management at that time. That was many beers ago, so I have no hard feelings anymore. Live and let live, or whatever. I was around before this forum even got off the ground... chinesedemocracy.com was THE place to be for all things GNR. Xozi, Queenie... we're talking mid-90's. Those were the days of Limewire. The first performance of 'NuGNR' in Vegas... CD.com was BONKERS. I remember being up all night downloading songs from Limewire. I'll never forget the first time I heard 'The Blues' that night from that show. Great memories.
  9. This entire mystery surrounding The General has had me perplexed. There's a download that was floating around of the song years ago, believe it was on Youtube of all places. I downloaded it and stored it away with the locker leaks for safe keeping. Well, this video confirms what I have matches the tune, for sure. It's a long intro, 2min 40sec, then guitars kick in. At 3:39 Axl's unmistakable screech kicks in, "My hopes, my dreams...", full high pitch rasp. At 4:07, Axl goes to a mid-tone falsetto and sounds like a bad AI version of himself. Very robotic. That always threw me off. Just doesn't sound anything like GNR at that point. That 'robotic' Axl goes off on some tangent I can't understand... before the screeching chorus comes roaring back to life. The song ends at 7min 25sec. If this is indeed 'The General', I can't wait to hear what Slash and Co. did to it. And hopefully Axl 'fixed' the robotic bridge, if you can call it that. Am I the only one with this recording? I figured everyone and their mother on this forum had it... so why is everyone acting so surprised/excited over it? If I am the only one that has it, for some reason, by all means, let me know.
  10. Ladies & gents... I give you the name of the tour for the next 7-8 years.
  11. You shouldn't be. All those same people get their news from the mainstream media. Probably their science, too. If they're told to hate somebody by Anderson Cooper or Joe Biden, they will. It's no surprise, and it's best to ignore them and let them learn the hard way. They all have it coming... and it really sucks when you realize you've been a brainwashed sheep for years, or even decades.
  12. Long long debunked... by who? The WHO? FDA? NIH? CNN? MSNBC? BBC? I bet you believed in masking too. Natural selection.
  13. Call me ignorant... but the only thing that I even know about this Bettencourt guy is that his last name sounds familiar. If someone asked me who 'Nuno Bettencourt' is on the street, I'd have no idea. Maybe Extreme never interested me enough to care. I also don't live and breathe rock music, nor am I a musician outside of my shower... just a nostalgic GNR nerd. But now that I know who this guy is, he sounds like a proper douche. I'm a big fan of guys like David Gilmour, Eric Clapton, Joe Perry, EVH and Slash (as a few examples). I think most would consider all those guys 'elite' guitar players, for what they do. I'm willing to bet most casual music fans (at least who grew up in part during the 20th century) have a general idea of who all of those guys are, too. I'm also willing to bet that a lot of those casual fans have no idea who this clown Nuno is. I'd put all my chips on the table and say that all of the above guys I mentioned would never, ever, come out and say they're one of the greatest guitar players to ever live. Or brag about how many magazine covers they've been on. They're among the best. They don't HAVE to. When you have to though, you come off as a proper douche bag. Enjoy playing with Rhianna.
  14. Here we go. Why do some Europeans (in this case, a German), always have to take shots at America? Like we're a bunch of dumb idiots with no sense of culture, stuck in a bubble? Maybe this guy is upset because Germany is 0-2 in World Wars and in both instances, were dramatically on the wrong side of history to boot. Last time I checked, Germany is a part of what's called the European Union. You know, the union you all voted to be a part of with all of the other countries of Europe? So forgive us for calling people in the European Union, European. And, yes, we understand there's lots of different cultures in the EU. Just like there's lots of different cultures here in the states (many mirroring that of European nations). And although I've traveled many parts of the world, so what if a lot of Americans have decided not to travel to Europe? Every 50 years or so your governments go and start some crazy world population altering war that leaves much of mainland Europe in ruins... we'll be lucky to get out of the current mess without it proliferating further. And if it does, we Americans will probably be there again to bail you guys out, again. But that all might be hard to grasp for the guy who's probably never left the bubble that is Europe, insulting Americans on a forum for an American rock band, posting from his American iPhone or computer.
  15. Just curious... are you insinuating Axl/GNR was doing something to manipulate/enhance Axl's rasp artificially when he had it those years?
  16. If this was already posted somewhere else... please delete. I stumbled on this by accident and read through it all. There's a TON of tid-bits about the history of the band in this three part story about the rise-and-fall of Steven Adler. It's an epic tale to say the least that brought a lot of light to things I didn't know about Steven, the band and even other artists in their circles in the 80's and 90's (one about Sam Kinison being revived from an OD at a celebrity softball game, only to go back into the game?!). Excellent read. Be sure to click through all three parts! https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/sweet-brother-of-mine-guns-n-roses-steven-adler-kidnapping-heroin-addiction-jamie-appetite-for-destruction-234022783.html
