  1. I actually think the verse us much stronger than the chorus in Atlas. I think it has a lot of potential and if properly advertised it could sell well.
  2. Personally I m not obsessed with any of the left over songs in particular. I didn't even listening to gnr much and I found out that two "new songs", it got me interested in the band again and now I'm really hyped for new music. I just feel like it's a waste to keep those song unreleased.
  3. It doesn't mean that they won't. Look I'm not saying g they will but to say that Slash confirmed that there is no new album is just false. In fact he said he wanted to work on new music. Again, I'm not saying we're getting a new album, not even so sure about new singles, but Slash never said "there is no new album".
  4. To be fair he never confirmed that no new album is coming, he actually said he would like to work on new stuff after the tour. I don't think we are getting a new album but I can't see how Slash confirmed no new album is coming.
  5. Do you guys think we'll get a youtube countdown when and If new music is released?

  7. Thh I think SoG has a lot of potential, atlas could be a very nice song. Perhaps is a bit too poppy for me, but is still better than many Chinese democracy songs imo
  8. I personally liked both hard skool and absurd a lot, state of grace has a lot of potential
  9. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that one. Neither are great songs, I guess all I was saying is, absurd as a single sucks but it would sound perfect as a filler track of an album. If it came out as part of an album like garden of Eden did, It'd be more appreciated. I think it's slightly more interesting cause garden of Eden is just a short gnr song, it's not bad but not as good as perfect crime for instance, absurd is experimental and it got a concept to it and the way the song is composed and produced expresses the concept and I always love music that is aesthetic and that tries to paint a picture for the listener. Is it a good picture? Maybe not but it's still interesting to watch the process.
  10. I didn't say better, I said more interesting. Garden of Eden is a short rock song you've heard thousands of, absurd it's a song that does everything to sound as absurd as it can, from the lyrics to the mixing and I think that makes it interesting. It's got a certain attention to music aesthetic and that one of the things that I like in music. My taste might be shit, but when you study music all your life and evolve from your teenagers musical preferences you might end up appreciating different things in music.
  11. Think of it. Perhaps, hard skool, absurd, state of grace, Atlas shrugged, oh my god, the general, soul monster and Oklahoma. That would be an album I'd buy and probably love. Also I don't get the hate for absurd, it's a quick song like "garden of Eden" but it's a bit more interesting, it's not amazing but it's cool in the way everything about the song it's absurd, is not a bad filler track.
  12. With the 2000/2004 formation I would have agreed but the latest incarnation prior to the reunion sucked
  13. I agree, we'll never see a new album with newly written music. To be fair tho slash did say they have no new music yet but he also said they will write it after this tour. Although I don't believe him, the second most important member of the band is actually saying we're getting a new album. Best case scenario to me would be a 8-10 tracks album of reworked Chinese era leftovers.
  14. I read everywhere that probably we're getting perhaps and the general. So far all I've seen is perhaps being played in the soundcheck. Have I missed anything?
