  1. gotta say I'm more than a bit choked about the new deal going around... I used points to get my hotel and paid alot for the tickets... thought about buying the package and trying to selll my existing tickets.... but hell i'm only in vegas for a few days and don't want the stress of trying to sell my other tickets and changing hotels etc.

good job for everyone who benefited from it though! I'm just happy to be going at all!

He is a nice guy. I am just giving the perspective from a die hard AC/DC fan. I even tried to tell him it might be cool cause I know he likes the Old Guns version of Rosie.. And told him that NuGuns did some AC/DC tunes. Even rare ones like Riff Raff..

I really don't want Axl to do this but I also just told a guy at work that was slagging the idea that it could be cool for a short term thing.. But I am always cynical and seek negativity..

Do me a favor and please stop quoting me.. Ignore me or filter out my posts.. Whatever you gotta do so we don't have to interact anymore.   Thanks!!!

I understand why your buddy would be pissed.... how excited would you guys be to see Sebastian front the last 10 shows of a GNR tour... you certainly wouldn't want to pay what a gnr ticket would cost to see that....

Don't get me wrong. I think i think it would be cool if Axl could pull it off... but 2012-14 voice doing AC/DC that would be the end of Axl.... if he was spot on that would be great though. But no fucking way AC/DC fans would get behind it

  3. my girlfriend was a bit shocked at first but she is not a gnr fan, didn't even know what "AFD" was when I mentioned it lol. But pretty much everyone I know is super pumped for me because they know what a huge fucking fan I am. I've got some challenging things happening in my life right now, so this trip is kinda a godsent. I was so fucking happy when i printed off the tickets since I used the citibank passcode and was just praying the tickets wouldn't fall thru

  4. I have a very hard time believing that if izzy wanted to be involved he couldn't be.... Axl clearly has no prob with him being on stage... Duff and him are tight... can't imagine slash having an issue.

Only thing I could see being thorny would be Axl wanting a touring crew and Izzy not wanting to tour, or not wanting to play Chinese stuff... or just not committed to Axl's liking

but being left out completely can't imagine why??

  5. fawk I wanted to be at those shows so badly. But i was in university with debt compiling daily, and I only had dial up at the time. Trying to coordinate that trip alone back then would have been a nightmare. I was at all 4 hammerstein shows, 5 times in 2010 and Van and Seattle for 2012. Looking forward to Las Vegas! Such a nerd for this band. Can't wait to meet everyone in Vegas

  6. I kinda figured it might have been a drunk tweet... dude may have just lost himself the biggest gig he ever had.

I mean I could care less if he is there or not. Honestly there isn't anything Dizzy couldn't handle... only tricky one would be this I love and SOD with Dizzy on piano and no strings.. but really are they that necessary

I do feel bad for Chris though, he has proven he is loyal and I think he had a lot to do with the behind the scenes with CD and all the other tracks we haven't heard. He does have a right to be pissed that NuGNR never materialized into a real a functioning band (in the sense of putting out an album, touring, putting out an album touring etc.) He put a lot of time and effort to help and support Axl only to kinda have him turned into teddy zig zag.

    Definitely don't drink and tweet.

I wonder if he is mad because maybe slash and duff didn't think he was essential for the initial rehearsals... guess we'll find out

  7.  i think axl wants committed band members and if izzy isn't confirmed then I'm sure it is  likely down to izzy not wanting the whole deal of a tour, album and generally dealing with axl day to day. I was there for for hammerstein and in seattle and van when duff was there... axl cares about the legacy of gnr and always keeping an open hand if folks want back in. but are izzy and steve willing to learn CD era tunes? be reliable for a world tour?

I completely understand why is it the way it is. Are Izzy and steve going to learn Shacklers revenge... i  highly doubt it.. does Axl feel that should be equally in the gnr legacy...

axl ain't caving and neither is izzy

  8. there is no real guns n roses recording until Axl gets off his fat lazy ass and into the studio. Knowing slash is laying down tracks is as close to "new gnr" recordings as DJ saying he was laying down tracks for the next album. Axl simple has lost confidence in himself or the drive or will to put out new music. He doesn't rehearse with band, he doesn't join the band for jams/writing sessions. He's a self conscious hermit and occasionally pops out of the cave.

I mean I'm going to Vegas because I believe the dude can do but I as excited as I am to see Slash and Axl on stage again, I'm equally disappointed that I think this sounds the death gong for any new GNR music.

  9. oh dizzy you should stick to doing your own stuff. I really enjoyed some of the stuff he recorded the "still life" song was really cool and his voice was super for it. But him singing GNR stuff is quite horrible.

I wonder if they earn enough a night to afford hookers and blow.... maybe one street walker and two meth bumps lol

Man does have to eat though

i wonder if diz has been at any of the rehearsals for far

  10. This actually is the number one thing that is preventing me from buying a $500 lower level ticket for the first Vegas show. I'm veery concerned about Axls ability to perform these songs and sing them as he used to. In fact, I concede that is probably impossible for him to do at this age. However, what will ruin this is of he shows up and Mickey comes out. I surely hope that isn't the case though.

I'm cautiously optimistic about his voice, I was at the last 2 shows in 2014 and he sounded awesome on most of the songs during the show, some didn't sound as good on youtube later but most did, so hopefully he comes out sounding at least this good:

(and I hope they play this song if they do a CD one)

    or this:

Axl Sounds awesome at the joint! If he sounds that good this time in Vegas I'll be totally stoked

  11. Just booked mgm grand for 3 nights. Would rather we all meet up in a bar personally.

Already planned my Saturday gonna get a chopper through the Grand Canyon then watch the Pacquiao fight, possibly the greatest weekend of my life.

time does your chopper take off and how long does it last & cost?

Not booked it yet, my mate told me about it.

$435 and a limo picks you up from the hotel, from pickup to drop off its 3.5 hours.

    Google sundance helicopters.

dude I was looking on groupon and you can get the helicopter tour for about half the price

  12. Going to wait a few weeks and get a package with air and hotel through vegas.com or something

    Hard rock is pretty affordable

I think Hard Rock will be the place to be. Im booking there this week

Hard Rock is quite a ways away from the venue. It looks close but it's really not at all. I think MGM will be a popular spot that weekend.

its about a 30 min walk from the venue. I'm staying at the bestwestern thats not too far from the Hard Rock (points!) 30 min walk or just bus or cab ride.. not so bad. Just a place to sleep

  13. Thats a tough question. 226 is closer but the sound might not be as good and its weird angle to watch at. sec 10 is further back but the sound will likely be better and you have a direct view.

I have section 11 for the 8th and 226 for the 9th thought i'd give both a shot so if one wasn't great the other would be.

  14. Totally down for a meet up. The hammerstein meet ups were awesome, it will be nice to be with people equally as pumped to see these shows. I had a buddy that was going to come with me but I asked to come because he was already bitching about the price of the ticket for one night and if I'm somewhere and gnr playing there is no other place I need to be. So I said I'm going alone and to both nights... meet with up people that get how historic these shows will be!

  15. Most of my friends don't really get why I'm so pumped about these shows. I waited 23 years for this. I only know a few of you in real life but it's nice to have people who are as excited as I am. While I am going alone to Vegas I won't feel alone at the shows.

I hear ya man, my girlfriend is just shaking her head... in a loving way... she's excited as she can be for me but completely does not understand forking over all the cash for the ticket. I haven't been this pumped since the hammerstein shows! Its going to be awesome to share the experience with so many other people who can appreciate the historic nature of these nights!!

  16. man so glad glad I got presale tickets, and didn't have to stress out today. Not super great sets but with the canadian dollar in the toilet the different between the 250-350 and the cheaper tickets is massive for me. Can't wait for these shows. We definitely have to set up a preshow party for the mygnr crew!

  17. wow I was a bit choked having to pay for the nightrain membership and then the fucking nightrain surcharge, plus I'm Canadian and our dollar is in the fucking toilet but now that prices have gone up I'm just glad I got tickets at all! Its a shit load of money but I was there for the hammerstein shows and am not going to miss these historic nights. Not exactly the seats I wanted but I'll be there!!
