  1. It's an absolutely justified excuse. Lets say they played the show and godforbid the place went up in flames, people wouldn't be bitching about the fire marshalls.

If there were to be a fire (highly unlikely) it's not like the fire exits would be overly stretched :D

    /sorry for this comment.

  2. The 2000/2002 mix of the Blue starts with a cool piano, followed by a cool guitar sound cutting in, followed by Axl singing..

The 2006 mix of the Blues starts with a cool piano, and then nothing, just more piano. For me the 2006 mix sounds empty near the begining. The 2006 mix seems slower too. The 2000/2002 mix wasn't all that fast, but it was faster than the 2006 mix.

  3. (they could have showed footage of the new line up  )

CONCERT AXL'ED - STREAMING MEDIA TELEVISON NEWS REPORT..

They've been rocking cities for 25 years, but Guns 'N Roses left Portland fans on a bad note when they cancelled Monday night's show.

A jungle of angry fans is what Guns 'N Roses left behind after they called off the show.

Portland fans didn't get to see the band take the stage, but they did get to see the crew take it apart.

Papa Roach lead singer, Jacobey Shaddix and drummer, Dave Buckner are on tour with Guns 'N Roses. So when they cancel, their fans are out of luck too.

The 3,000 ticket holders can get a full refund.

The Civic Center suggests going back to the vendor you purchased them from.

  4. over on this MySpace site, someone has shared out The Blues from East Rutherford NJ.

(sorry if this is old news but..)

Hearing this version, with the different intro and even Axl's change of singing style, makes me like the Early 2001/2002 Rio version so much better. I used to love the guitar cutting in at the begining.

  5. If GnR were just being difficult then they should be ashamed but we don't know it was just a puro issue.

Odds are Axl was being difficult and the Marshall wouldn't back down.Possible reasons for no show:

GnR are annoyed over pyro issue.

Axl is too tired to sing:

Robins beared needs trimmed and its time consuming:

Tommy hadn't finished filling bottles with piss.

BumbleFoot was too busy chatting to fans backstage.

Richards nose grew so much he couldn't get on stage.

Axl noticed a grey hair in amoungst the ginger ones.

Pittman realised he had a gig with the village people.

    The New Village People

..i like it. Gn'R should have called themselves that :)

  6. firemarshalls have more to say then just pyro stuff you know, it's also about crowd controll and safety, and given the guns track record with riots it's only a matter of time before some over anxious firemarshall who is afraid of getting a bloodbath on his hands starts enforcing some nazi rules.

and concerning the acoustic alternative, you just know that people would be complaining about it because they went to see a rock show and they got some old guys whimping out on them with an acoustic guitar ;)

Gn'R should have showed up, sat on the stage, said sorry for not being able to play the show and offered the audience a choice. Go home or have a listen to the finished album :D

  7. There was a time when Gun N'Roses could rely on the stength of the music to carry them through. Would the absence of fire really make any difference to the show? if management were any good they would have found an alternative option for arenas that donot allow for real fire to be used.

Maybe Merck should try looking into: Artificial Fire :)

This is our Top-of-the Line Artificial Flame, don't be fooled by cheap imitations! This effect has been long requested by schools, clubs and theaters who desire the look of a genuine open flame, without actually building a fire. This amazing device has all of the appearance of being an actual flame. When displayed, the fire department actually asked us to put it out - a true story! Completely simulated and safe for indoor use. No actual flammables are used. Silent operation. Plugs into any standard 120 volt wall plug. Each unit generates a "campfire" style flame - approx. 9 in. tall and 6 in. wide. Great for store displays, restaurants and theatrical applications. Your amazement is guaranteed!

  8. Damn-there have to be cd's manufactured now then right? Are there no GN'R fans at the factory?

Nope, oompa loompa's........ :rofl-lol: in Uncle Axl's chocolate cd factory.... :rofl-lol::rofl-lol::rofl-lol:

where ever the CD's are being made, i bet the people (oomp loompas) are not allowed to exit the camp until CD hits the shops (to stop any leaks happening).

  9. sounds like "cd is coming 2007" <_<

Don't say that. If printing lables for the album will cause a delay (as we all know the albums in the can) then that can only reflect badly on the management (Merck). As for looking for a right time to release the album, there is no right time. If an album is any good, anytime is the right time.

  10. There were reports from various forums that Gn'R were shooting a video some time ago. There was mention of the directors name and i think there was talk of it being shot in Vegas. Quite what the rumours amounted to remains to be seen.

  11. probably a show from the 80's

    Highly unlikey.

    Probably Rock in Rio '91.......

If the question is 'What's the Biggest Festival audience' then maybe Rio is the show to go for. I was thinking more along the lines of Guns N'Roses hoasted shows.
