liquidswords
I never really heard a lot of soundgarden when they were big, but I want to sample some of their stuff...can anyone recommend any good songs/albums? Obviously I have heard, Black Hole Sun, Fell on black days but is about it. Thanks/
Malicious Matt
Badmotorfinger is their best album. Check out Outshined, Jesus Christ Pose, and Slaves and Bulldozers. Then if you like that stuff, check out their Louder Than Love album, its pretty good too.
Ant
I find if you really like Soundgarden, then most of the stuff on Badmotorfinger and Superunknown should appeal to you. Mind Riot, 4th of July, Slaves and Bulldozers, Birth Ritual, Hands All Over, and Room a Thousand Years Wide, are some good lesser known album tracks off the top of my head. Then you got the hits like Outshined, Pretty Noose, Rusty Cage, Jesus Christ Pose, Burden In My Hand, Spoonman, The Day I Tried To Live -- I'm sure you've heard a bunch of those ones on the radio. Half those I can't even listen to anymore 'cause they get so much airplay . Edited August 21, 2008 by Ant

You won't be sorry. And then when you're finished soaking in Soundgarden, go right into Savage Garden. Can thank me later:

Randy Lahey
This thread is now about Savage Garden.I swear song has the same drum opening as Mr Brownstone. It sounds like these guys were heavily influenced by GNR. This song sounds like the inspiration for GNR's recent Song 2 and thus completes the cycle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uB4lT5CblA...feature=related Edited August 21, 2008 by Randy Lahey
