tutsuro
I'm just gonna say 54 40. Canadian alternative rock band. They are/were pretty popular in Canada, but there are plenty of people who haven't heard of them, especially in the States, but also here. Also they are often neglected from lists and such.Actually, a friend of mine who lives in Canada is a huge fan of 54-40. He bought me the "Heavy Mellow" live album to listen to them, and I have to admit it kicks. It's too bad more people haven't heard them. Wow, someone not in Canada who's heard of (and likes!) 54 40. I'm impressed. One of my favourite bands. Don't own Heavy Mellow. I've heard of it, own every track of it (studio version) on other albums, but I've never picked it up. moreblack
There's this Japanese composer named Yoko KannoShe's amazing she can do techno, rock, jazz, psychedelic, Samba, and anything else you ask her to, wild imagination. Genesis
Opeth. I dont care if you've heard of them, they deserve recognition. But not popularity. Its never good being a fan of a band that then become really popular.

Van-Halen
Yeah I know , when I try to look for guitar tabs for april wine I can only fine about 5 or 6 ....and I know they wrote more then 6 songs *looks at vinals* and it cant be cause its impossible riffs cuz if somebody can tab some Zakk Wylde solos im sure they wouldnt have a problem with april wine. ryne
I've done one or two posts about this local band before...Seventeen RhinosI dunno if I'd like em if they weren't local though, just some local pride on my part. They're definently talented though, their second/last album is my favorite. They kind of sound like a pop rock band that's trying to become a lil more hardcore and actually play rock, it works for me.
